If your organization relies on outbound leads through cold calling, this is a great tool for you. ConnectAndSell definitely made the associate's jobs easier at our company and allowed them to produce greater output than they could have done manually without such a tool. This tool is less appropriate if cold calling isn't a big part of your company's lead generation efforts.

SalesLoft

SalesLoft is a great way to stay on top of contacts and leads to ensure they are getting contacted in the right way, at the right time. Use this tool to increase outbound contacts through drip campaigns and automated email steps within cadences. This is not a great way to view intents and needs of customers or to use for marketing only.

SalesLoft

  • Cadence Management - we can add and edit cadences based on a specific product line we want to sell or an event that our prospects and our reps attended.
  • Activity Tracking - we can see all of the calls, emails, reminders, and tasks we have completed on an account or person basis.
  • Templates & Snippets - we can easily create templates and snippets for common objections, questions, or ask for feedback.
  • Dialer - we can use common dispositions to log calls, which allows us to track what types of conversations we're having, if at all.

  • One thing that's been difficult about Connect and Sell is some people can tell you've been patched through so if you can work past the initial conversation it ends up working great.
  • The system has worked great with outreach which we've integrated our contacts directly into the system. Because of this the connection between outreach and connect and sell don't always communicate calls and metrics which are crucial for us to know conversion rates.
  • We had a hard time getting the system implemented quickly and working the way we wanted it to. Because of the implementation specialist we were working with problems weren't solved quickly rather they were worked through quickly however they were solved.

SalesLoft

  • Salesloft needs to vamp up their Rules management capabilities. To have the ability to create more rules in which (more fields & more open fields) cadences can be applied - for example. There should be a rule that one prospect can't be part of 2 cadences at the same time or of some sort. Or to somehow handle duplicates in the system (duplicate outreach) so customers don't get reached out to twice or at the same time by different account managers. (clean up data issues with rules)
  • SalesLoft could have more cross-functional visibility for teams to share cadences. I think it's not that easy to find Team Cadences or to filter Cadences.
  • SalesLoft should have better metrics for successful campaigns. It should be able to rank or rate the best campaigns across teams so that we can know for best practices which are the best campaigns to continue using and which ones to now. So rank them by "Open Rate" or "View Rate" or "Click Rate" just to have better analytics and a dashboard to track success metrics.

SalesLoft is a fantastic product that will be extremely helpful to any Sales Rep looking to organize their information and stay one step ahead. While it has its shares of quirks and bugs it proves to be an awesome tool for anyone that is in the sales industry.

I have had a few support calls with their people. They are totally reachable and helpful, sharing screens, controlling my screen, showing why things happened, not just correcting it. If you have an issue with the software, let them help. They are there for you, and they are friendly, accessible, and happy to do their job.

With Outreachr, you have the old school version of dialing, waiting, hanging up etc. ConnectAndSell is a much more efficient tool when it is running in full swing. Unfortunately, the implementation team spent the majority of the introduction trying to teach us how to sell instead of showing us how to work their product.

SalesLoft

SalesLoft is a competitor to InsideSales.com. I love the native integrations InsideSales provides, but I more love the account based targeting that SalesLoft better supports. If you want a more direct integration where you can use automation features within Salesforce, InsideSales is much better. But if you need more automation and not caring if it's native or not in SFDC, SalesLoft is much better

  • We did not have a positive experience with ConnectAndSell from an ROI perspective.
  • ConnectAndSell did not have a give us a positive result on our business objective.
  • We did have a great sale to start transition, and that support was good. However, ongoing support was frustrating.

  • I'm sure there has been a huge positive ROI in terms of our team's overall productivity and efficiency in comparison to not having anything at all. However, it's hard to say what the ROI is or would be in comparison to another tool in this space as I have not tried any.
