They're different tools but I prefer the look and collaboration element of Lucid vs the others. Although it doesn't offer a proper chat feature similar to Slack - I find this better as I still prefer old-fashioned talking to colleagues about projects and tasks so for me Lucid …
We used both solutions before deciding to use LucidChart. Creately works really great and is an excellent option, but their pricing was so outside of our requirements that it did not make sense to continue with our demo. Also, their salespeople did not follow up with us, they …
I actually did not try any other similar services, beside Excalidraw and the build-in capabilities of Googe Docs. But needless to say, they are much more basic and cannot really be compared to Lucidchart
If it's solo work, I prefer Lucidchart over all its competitors. For larger group collaboration, Lucidspark or Miro is much much preferred than Lucidchart. Figma is ok for some basic use but can't handle complex stuffs. MURAL and Visio are just terrible products to use in …
I have used Microsoft Visio for over 20 years and have found it always provided the functionality that I've needed. In the case where I began using Lucidchart, I started working at a company where Lucid was used instead of Visio. For me, the key was having an app that I could …
Visio is a high-performance tool, but we couldn't really use it to collaborate in a team that has a mix of Mac and Windows computers. Trying to get licenses coordinated and virtual machines set up was a mess. It was significantly easier and less expensive to just get a Visio …
There is a small feature where organizational structures can be created. But this is minimal and it also assumes the data rather quickly, Lucid chat allows much more detail and means you can narrate against the contacts. It's highly detailed.
Much of the same functionality and features. Lucidchart wins over Visio due to the collaboration component where multiple users can work on the same file in real-time and tag comments.
Visio is pretty bad honestly, Lucidchart is much better in my opinion. I've also used InVision which is much easier to build with but lacks some of the more advanced functionality. I think the layering feature that LucidChart has is a key differentiator and helps it stand out …
I have previously [used] some other chart tools, but what makes Lucidchart the proffered one is the simplicity and the efficiency of using it. The existing templates were really helpful, first of all because I understood better what type of diagram suits better our needs, and …
Miro has some pretty nice features but Lucidchart has better templates and shape options. I do miss the 'frame' feature in Miro that allows you to create a box around a set of steps and then you're able to move the entire box with all of the steps and arrows as one single …
I have not used any other products like Lucidchart, but before, I would use things like PowerPoint to create diagrams. Lucidchart is a much much better solution compared to PowerPoint, as the elements are easier to use, things snap together, and the graph can be expanded in any …
Teams is very well integrated with Microsoft products. So for any organization with Microsoft as their software foundation, it's a natural fit. Slack is well gear towards cloud-based organizations and as well as organization which are assets light and want to get onboard …
Slack is much faster and easy to use than Skype. The group conversations are more fluid, it's easier to setup a conversation group and we have more flexibility. However, Skype has a better history record, making it safer when dealing with serious subjects/projects, and allows …
It is hard to think of ways in which Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite would not be best suited to provide an effective tool for any organization to find success in its use. Whether it is a visual display to map an organizational structure, a collaboration to find an answer of how to improve workflow, or even to display the upcoming budget needs, working in Lucid can seamlessly provide that!
Slack is well suited to sync with Salesforce so that when opportunities are closed won, it automatically posts in Slack without having to enter anything manually. Slack also integrates well with Gong so that when someone comments on calls or adds notes, you are alerted via notifications in Slack.
Large number of predefined charts, diagrams, flows
A great repository of various symbols and objects
The easiness of using and manipulating objects and shapes. There is a lot of auto-editing and adjusting which the software does for you which saves a lot of your time.
Easy way of duplicating shapes.
While working with the app everything feels organic and natural. You don't get the clunky/limited feeling which happens with some other similar apps.
I have used the templates before and those are nice! I would like to see more
The ONLY complaint I can come up with is that there has been several times that my screen will lock up and i have to fully refresh it, even when it is a fairly fresh load.
Wish I could organize my "save for later" items into folders. It would be nice to store all of the golden nuggets of information I learn. Even better if we could export it out into a word doc to turn into a real article or resource!
Use AI to help us find themes around topics and prepare a summary every week/end of day/month so that the entire team can absorb all conversations into one clean space
Slack is wonderful, it is a tool that changed our perspective and our way to work. We used to use another one, which was purely and sorely designed to messages. Slack provides us that possibility and more, all the other functions that we daily use in our work routine, not to mention the fact that Slack has a wonderful design and it's really easy to use and adapt.
The interface is easy to use and understand and most features feel very familiar from the start. There are so many features and functions that users may not know it can be done without some instruction. Lucid's champion network is a great, fun resource to learn more about the product.
Applications can cause slowdown when onboarding because of the learning curve. Slack is user friendly and very easy to teach new users how to navigate the app. Installation is fairly quick, which also saves a lot of time when setting up new computers and users
Yes, the app works 24/7. I don't even recall having any period that we could not use since the implementation. Even the maintenance periods are barely noticeable and our work is not impacted by it when it happens.
Slack is a soft app, we don't have many issues with it. I recall one or two people complaining about something during our usage period, but I didn't have a bad experience. When the app is slow, usually the problem is with my computer or my internet. The app works just fine.
I would rate the overall support for Lucidchart as a 9. The support provided is generally robust and responsive. Their help center, tutorials, and webinars offer extensive resources for users. The ticket-based support system is effective, providing timely resolutions to most issues. Moreover, they actively gather user feedback, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement
I've never had to contact support for Slack which is a great testament to its ease and use. Adding people outside of the organization takes a little getting used to, but ultimately allows for greater collaboration between FTE and contractors. There is no clear alternative to this software, so it's the best we can do for now.
It always helps if you communicate to everyone in the organization how important it is to drop whatever other chat tools they are using and jump quickly to Slack. They will all fall in love with it.
We started using LucidChart after switching from another visual collaboration tool. The import process worked surprisingly well - way better than anyone on our team was expecting. Lucidchart itself is simple to use, easy to collaborate with coworkers, has a ton of built-in diagram components, and has a supportive community around it complete with webinars from highly entertaining and engaging presenters.
Slack is vastly easier to use than Teams and far less convoluted. It also handles Trello and GitLab integrations in a way that is easy to read and digest (whereas Teams handles them in the most useless way possible). Every time I use Teams, something is broken or I can't find things. But Slack is on the ball. Always easy to use and to search. Plus better emoji syntax (um, Microsoft, people put stuff in parenthesis all the time; that doesn't mean they want it to be emojis). Anyway, I'd choose Slack over Teams any day, if given the option.
It sure has. It has saved me a lot of time. Think of all the time I could have wasted trying to learn a program that does the same thing, whereas Lucidchart just does it with ease, learn as you go, and be a boss at it.
Lucidchart has increased productivity. My diagrams have helped co-workers find connectivity and helped them troubleshoot devices. This has saved time and increased productivity.
