DISC is similar but really only focuses on the employee in a business setting. The PI Behavioral Assessment looks at the employee as a person as well as an employee. It is not how you respond to a question but what attributes you have.

The Predictive Index
Predictive Index has served us well so far in helping determine key personality traits of salespeople we hire. How will they sell? Is sales a good fit for them? We have not expanded to use it with other teams/depts yet. We primarily use the behavioral assessment (not cognitive).

UKGPro could be used with any company, but it is more recommended for an enterprise with about 2,500+ employees to use. The reason I say that, is for the cost if your under 2,500 employees there are a lot of software options that companies can use that are definitely cheaper and can provide the same amount of functionality that UKGPro does. However if your company is more than 2,500 employees this is definitely the way to go because of its easy to use UI, its mobile application, and other top notch features

  • The onboarding system for UKG is very easy to use, ties between the ATS and core systems, and works closely with E-Verify.

  • In Beta -> Hire -> New Candidates - > I would like to see the ability to create 1 or 2 additional "Type" folders that can be customized for my company. By being able to do this, I can more efficiently manage my potential candidates, rather that every time I go to review a position, having to make these individual selections each time. I would like the favorite icon and the pass icon to remain; however find it extraneous to have to sort through these candidates each time.

  • Indeed Easy Apply Integration - has been down for a long time due to issues, but it makes it difficult because this is a useful feature that we have to manually add applicants to positions.
  • Recruiting Gateway - there are issues with re-hiring previous employees and hiring current interns because the email is always linked to the organization's email if hired in the system. No easy way to do this.
  • More features in the Recruiting Gateway - it would be nice to have more options for moving candidates around and creating a way to send mass emails to a pool of applicants created.

We are overall happy with UltiPro and it works well for our organization and we have plans to expand our usage of it even more so we will definitely be continuing with the product. We are thinking of adding the functionality for training and recruiting as well, which is an add-on product

The Predictive Index
Very easy to use for both administrators and those taking the assessment. This tool is really a game-changer for staffing, onboarding, and retention. It is like having a crystal ball sometimes with insights into the behaviors of job candidates and is critical for finding the right person for the right role.

It's a great product, coming from the IT world I would recommend a better option for creating alerts and reports in the BI piece of UKG. I also wish there was an easier way for managers to be able to pull up information across all of their employees quicker. For example, if I need to know who has completed certifications or who might be coming due, I am required to look at each employee one by one to know. (Or have someone create a report from the back end)

I've found Ultipro to be completely reliable. Outages are typically planned to occur on weekends and only once did I have connections issues connecting Citrix to the server where our environment was housed, but within the hour connection was restored. I think that's a pretty good track record, considering I've used the suite daily for over three years. Especially when processing payroll--say the internet goes down in the middle of you performing a task... Ultipro is able to recognize that a connection error occurred and quickly restores the process that was running, avoiding lost productivity.

Normally UKG Pro loads quickly. We had been having major issues with reports running in a timely manner but recently they broke out our virtual server to another instance where is wasn't sharing resources and that seems to have helped reporting run more efficiently.

The Customer Success team has been quite helpful during the times that I've interreacted with them. I've also found support and implementation to be responsive with any questions related to the initial set up phase or for on going support. Overall we've been pleased with the support offered by Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment.

I love that it's free and flexible. Some of it could have a little more hands-on and have trainers that can answer different scenarios. If the trainer has not been a user, they may not always be able to relate. In most cases they do a great job at answering questions.

Make sure you have all of your tax account information with all the states you are registered in available and that you are knowledgeable about the filing status, frequency, etc. We had some unique challenges with our state unemployment tax set up that I was not aware of and needed to be addressed prior to going live. Working with the state unemployment office can be a challenge.

The other assessments that we examined felt more like an SAT exam than a recruitment tool. The results were difficult for our managers to read through and understand. There were a lot of words, with very little actually being said. The PI was succinct and precise.

The flexibility, the family feel of the partnership, the customer support model, the reporting, the scalability, and the custom-programming needs of company-specific items were all much better than the competitors. The cost comparison also came in either close to or less than the others so the cost/benefit FAR outweighed the competitors.

  • The PI has been very helpful when analyzing employees. You cannot go wrong when you are able to see a candidate or employees work style.
  • The ROI is very positive. A lot of companies have a specific culture that they are trying to create or adhere to. This software helps you see if an employee would be a good fit for your company or not.

  • We have increased our HR activities to 85% through UKG. OSHA and Leave need to be pulled in
  • Reduced from a 1000 pieces of pay statements to @ 10 per pay roll through Direct deposit and cash pay cards.
  • Onboarding signoffs have improved audit records for signed job descriptions, i-9 forms, hand book sign off and policy sign off
