eTIME was being used across the entire organization to assist with about 1500 employees at the time. We also used the biometric scanners for punches which integrated with the ADP eTIME system. The system was also used to run employee attendance.
This system would verify employee clock in/out times as well as allowing employees to look at their time cards and verify their payroll hours

We are currently using ADP Enterprise eTIME across the whole organization. Hourly employees' pay is calculated by their in/out punches. We record the weekly hours for salaried employees for OSHA reporting. We also have shift differentials to pay employees at different rates depending on what time they come in.
- Lock a time sheet from being further edited.
- You can see whom has audited a time sheet.
- Easier synchronizing of data with Work Force Now.
- Not being locked out so frequently.

We use eTime as a way of recording/logging our hours worked which is billable to a specific project/client. Since we are an offshoring company, we consider our onshore counterparts as clients and most of the time we serve different projects from different onshore departments hence the need to track our hours to fairly and accurately charge our clients onshore.
- It can be integrated to an ERP system
- Support is great
- Easy to learn time management solution
- Monthly view could be a great addition
ADP Enterprise eTIME is used globally for our company's timekeeping needs. It allows for global access to employee timecards, including signing off for payroll purposes, housing/editing employee schedules, holding employee payroll data, and allows for employees to see their own schedule. It houses an area for customizable security groups for different managers and administrators.
- Scheduling
- Easy view of employee timecards
- Timecard reconciliation
- A simpler method to download punches.
- Historical edits do not work well for our company.
- Allowing to see time off requests further out in the year without looking in a different place.

ADP Enterprise eTime was supposed to be a robust system that helped deal with our complex work environment. At the time, we had a mix of hospitality, property management, and corporate staff. The hospital staff, with NYS spread of hours, required us to utilize the enhanced eTime feature. It is essentially a Krono's body with an ADP shell. It allowed us multiple pay code options.
- It has multiple options for enhanced eTime for multi-industry employers.
- ADP Workforce Now and enhanced eTime do not work well together. Constant data flow issues between each system.
- Chronic downtime.
- Reports not matching between two different employees running it at the same time.
- Tickets remain open for months at a time. When they identify the problem, they say it could be two-six months for a roll out patch.
- You can no longer get a dedicated rep. When you have an issue you have to explain it over and over again.
We use ADP Enterprise ETime throughout our organization to track time for salaried and hourly employees. It helps track overtime as well as PTO time. We also use the system for our service organization to track the type of work being performed ie, travel, labor, training etc.
- Simple to use.
- Easy to train managers on how to approve time.
- Allows managers easy access to approve timecards and PTO.
- Allows easy reporting for management.
- The system could be set up for easier transfer of hours and accruals into other ADP products.
Our hourly staff and student workers use eTIME for time entry only. Some enter hours worked from the computer on their desktop and others use one of the eight time clocks we have on campus. We are very satisfied with eTIME and it integrates well with our payroll software.
- Allows varied types of time.
- The system handles very well the varied over time, pay and holiday rules we have in place.
- Easy to use by both employees/students and their supervisors.
- Java has been a problem for us. We recently converted to the 'Java free' version and although it works well, I do miss a few of the aspects of the 'Java' version we had previously.

ADP eTime was used to manage all of Grinnell College's student payrolls. I used ADP eTime in multiple departments across the whole organization, including as a Burling Library employee, as a research assistant to a Linguistics professor in the Anthropology Department, and as a security officer for ACE Security. It provides one portal to manage student timecards. This is convenient because many students (myself included) work multiple positions in different departments across the organization, which may or may not have time clocks to be manually punched, and which often have different pay rates. It also creates problems, though, because juggling the different pay codes is confusing, and my direct supervisors could not help with adjusting pay rates or notifying me of these codes, as they did not have access to managing the eTime portal (lots of bureaucracy involved). The interface was also troublesome, and did not work on most browsers.
- Ability to clock hours without a physical time clock/punchcard -- great for jobs like tutoring, which may not have a central meeting location
- Ability to clock hours for multiple positions in different departments across an organization -- one paycheck, even though I had multiple supervisors and different pay rates
- Browser compatibility - would be much more convenient if I could use eTime on the browser of my choice, rather than having to download a compatible browser that I won't use for anything else
- User interface - Not very visually pleasing, hard to navigate, not intuitive.
- Complicated/Lots of bureaucracy - difficult to address problems (with historical hours or incorrect pay rates) because the software was too complicated and inconvenient for my immediate supervisors to learn, so all issues for the entire college had to be directed through one individual in the administration. Also, while the ability to log hours for multiple positions on one timecard is convenient in some ways, it also makes these problems more difficult to sort out because it is difficult to retroactively identify which hours were logged for which positions (from a paper ADP pay stub, for example)
- Online training
eTIME is a very effective tool for managing time and attendance. I've implemented this system as an HR professional and as an HRIS consultant. As an HR professional, I appreciated being able to custom tailor different shifts for different types of employees. As an HRIS consultant, I've implemented this system to be used with both hourly and salary (non-exempt and exempt) employees and my clients have gone on to have great success with eTIME. This system tracks real hours worked for both hourly and salary staff to see where divisions of labor might not be split equally and helps track overtime with early and late punches. In all of my experience, ADP eTIME was used for the entire organization and helped identify overtime inflation so it could be addressed in real-time.
- Monitors people who repeatedly punch in and out just before or after cutoff times.
- Great for setting up ongoing schedules.
- Easy to understand the system.
- Could offer better training to the HR/Payroll Admins.
We utilize ADP Enterprise eTime as our time & attendance system across the organization for our non-exempt population.
- Once the pay rules, access, time entry method, etc. is set-up correctly, the system accurately calculates time, PTO, OT, shift differentials, etc.
- Entering punches, pay codes is easy for employees to use.
- Approving time cards for managers is easy.
- The setup is difficult for administers.
- Mapping the pay rules to the accrual profiles, pay codes, etc., is hard to administer as well.
- The consultants at ADP do not know the system well in some cases so getting help with setup and issues can be difficult.
The ADP e Time software is used as an online time sheet. We have access to our time, benefit and vacation information from any computer. This is very convenient because you can request time off or vacation time from home. ADP also allows you to get electronic copies of your W2 tax forms so you don't have to wait for them to be delivered by mail. From this portal you can get copies of your pay stub, manage your direct deposit and tax withholdings. This system is also set up to help managers manage employees. They can approve time worked and vacation time.
This system is also set up so that HR can post information and alerts. I find ADP very helpful.

ADP is used for our organization to do payroll. It is maintained in the finance department but helps with all members. It is organized and easy to use.
- User friendly

We use enterprise eTime with our timeclocks at our sites. Hourly employees clock in at timeclocks and the data is sent right to their digital timecards for supervisor review. We house our exempt workforce in there as well, but just to track allowance hours.
- Allowance hours tracking
- Time tracking
- FMLA tracking
- Reports and client ability to modify
- Client services - should have a dedicated group to call...
