Great e-commerce open-source software
- Quite easy to use compared to other open-source e-commerce software.
- Has lots of free plugins to help you set up a great basic shop.
- You can easily create your own unique site.
- Lots of payment option plugins and you can use them to sell globally.
- Not a lot of free templates.
- Images can sometimes be too compressed and lose their full quality, so better settings for that could be introduced.
- Being able to change the look of your automatic emails via default settings can also be introduced.

PrestaShop Review
- The PayPal button modality was integrated with the PrestaShop system, which helped our clients to complete payments digitally in just a few seconds, this integrated button allowed to streamline many transactions.
- Performing inventory reviews and modifying the PrestaShop catalog was one of the things that I liked the most, I could make changes to the catalog, make changes to the conditions of the products in the catalog and all those changes were reflected on my website in a instant, no need to wait some time.
- The PrestaShop system created a digital invoice for each client who made the advance payment of a property, which made it even easier to complete the property negotiation. Customers came to our company with the digital invoice for the advance payment and it was easy to identify the property that was paid, thanks to the digital invoice.
- There is no type of support to help users learn to use the PrestaShop service. When I implemented this service in my company, it was with the help of our web developers, and on the occasions that I needed help from PrestaShop support, they never responded to my requests.
- Most of the templates for customizing my store were too expensive. Although they were simple but attractive templates, the prices were very high, which forced me to have a simple design in my catalog integrated into my website.

- Clear and well structured workflow with customer management and emails
- Very slow. Google complains about loading times, means the ranking will be bad!
- Very unstable--loading a module can crash the back office. Hard to restore--even a full restore sometimes won't work.
- Needs mostly additional modules, which are not free
- Display module positions are template dependent. Once a template is changed, Prestashop does not remember the old settings. For updates it's recommended to change to the default template--this means all customization done on our template is gone.

A free solution for your first e-commerce project
- Administration panel is easy and essential
- Product configuration is ready to go and product page comes with lots of information
- It doesn't require huge server resources
- Since it starts as ready to go platform it's difficult to protect your store from being copied by someone else
- Without a developer, you depend on Prestashop's modules marketplace that lacks free extensions
- Since it isn't an enterprise level platform the use of Prestashop is strictly related to the size of your business
- Easy to install and have up quickly.
- Lots of potential for customization and development overrides to shape the system the way it is needed.
- Constant upgrades and bug fixes.
- Lots of add-ons to choose.
- Documentation and support needs to be updated and expanded. There's a lack of books, and the only support aside from the forum is official prestashop support, which is not cheap. The system is too massive to have such little support.
- Too many things can go wrong with too little explanation as to why. Too much time is wasted trying to figure out why prestashop isn't working as intended because of this. Seems that most of the questions online are people fumbling around with vague issues and errors and no explanation.
- Code should either be organized more intuitively, or there should be more help outlining what is going on during runtime for debug purposes. Why is there not a built in way to display the tpl that is being loaded in each section? I tried figuring out how to do it myself using the documentation but gave up. Instead I have to swim through the entire code to figure out how to do it myself. Should not be this complicated.
- Too many things can go wrong when transferring or copying the website, which essentially breaks everything. Again, too little help and messages explaining why things don't work. Internet search shows that this is a common issue.
