Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We use ADP Workforce Now across our entire holding company which is comprised of 5 companies.
  • Ease of Payroll Processing
  • Carrier Connection for Benefits
  • Report set up is still sometimes difficult
  • Reaching a live person in a short amount of time for questions is IMPOSSIBLE!
  • Is very useful for a 2 person HR Department managing 300+ employees.
  • Functionality is varied and many options to purchase or not, depending on needs.
Was unable to use ADP to manage my accruals. Our system is very complex, but we are still managing it manually because ADP cannot adapt to our rules.
  • OrgChart NOW
  • Benefits Connection
Wasn't too bad, but needed much assistance in the beginning from the OrgChart NOW team. Benefits connection works well with some providers but not others.
No comparison... Avalara is tax software. Prior to ADP, we used Ceridian for payroll and prior to that we managed in-house.

Do you think ADP Workforce Now delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ADP Workforce Now's feature set?

Yes

Did ADP Workforce Now live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ADP Workforce Now go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ADP Workforce Now again?

Yes

When I can get someone, they are usually very helpful. Getting them is the problem. The other issue is language barriers. I often get someone who does not speak perfect English, and it makes resolving the issues more complicated and lengthy.
With ADP it is easy to manage T&A and payroll from a remote location. Record-keeping is electronic. Smaller companies may not see the investment value.

COVID-19 Response

Fairly well. Slow on the updates and not a lot of support for managing the payroll changes. Had to search for answers and go to the Bridge which is not efficient nor always accurate.
N/A for our organization.
Somewhat helpful. The vaccine survey will be useful to us in the near future.
Is useful to those who do not have Internet access at home. Nice for those who work out of the office.

Using ADP Workforce Now

Manufacturing employees, administrative employees and salespeople.
2 - Detail-oriented, trustworthiness and confidentiality are required.
  • Payroll
  • Time & Attendance
  • Benefits
  • Org Chart
  • COVID Requirements
  • Would like to use more for accruals.
  • Recruiting
  • Training
One stop solution for payroll, 401(k) and benefits. Works well for a short-staffed HR Department. Cost prohibitive for smaller organizations.

Evaluating ADP Workforce Now and Competitors

Yes - Ceridian....not user friendly nor nearly as comprehensive.
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
Our former payroll provider was not that user friendly nor did it have the features we were looking for.

ADP Workforce Now Implementation

Payroll was fairly easy. 401(k) was not too bad. Benefits was our worst experience and I think it was just the implementation manager that we were assigned.
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation - N/A
  • Has been too long to remember.

ADP Workforce Now Training

Didn't really use it much as it was too difficult to find the correct training. Sound bytes are sometime helpful, but are not available for more complex issues. I learned most of it on my own just by experimenting or by calling and speaking to a support specialist. The issue with that is being able to reach someone.

ADP Workforce Now Support

ProsCons
Knowledgeable team
Slow Resolution
Poor followup
Problems left unsolved
Not kept informed
Escalation required
Difficult to get immediate help
Need to explain problems multiple times
Slow Initial Response
Not Available
There have been numerous times over the course of 10-12 years that I have received great support. They were, however, when I had a dedicated support rep to whom I could reach out via direct phone or email at any time. That went away and although I have requested it numerous times, cannot seem to get it back. (Even though one of my subsidiaries in a different region than 69 with lesser employees does have a dedicated support rep.) Very frustrating!!!

Using ADP Workforce Now

User friendly in most instances with the exception of customized reporting.
