Overall Satisfaction with Klaviyo
The marketing department uses Klaviyo, as well as customer service in some instances. We use it for sales emails, newsletters, customer interactions, and notifications. It uses integrations with Shopify, Recharge, and Yotpo and has been great for retargeting past and new customers. Definitely helpful with keeping in touch with our database without a need to constantly manage it with the use of flows.
Pros
- Flows
- Design Layout
- Benchmark overviews
Cons
- Revenue attribution (specially in subscription)
- Image editing
- Font availability
- Good customer journey
- Increased revenue on retargeting emails
- Does not help much in the analytics tracking in subscription
- Facebook Advertising
- ReCharge
- Shopify
All integrations were very easy and quick.
Seeing the interactions our subscribers have with our content, and how engaged they are with everything we are sending their way was extremely eye-opening to understand the relationship between the brand our subscribers. It showed us that our customers want more than just a cash change they want a relationship and a reason to keep coming back.
The creation of the flows gave us the ability to follow our customers no matter where in the journey they fall. We interact with them right at the start gives us the opportunity to upsell but at the same time cultivate a relationship by showing them the perks they must be missing out on. We can now grow the relationship once someone is already in the funnel and make sure we stay top of mind, and when the time comes that we do lose them, we can reach out to them and create a winback opportunity by remaining them of what they are missing or by sending them a special deal.
I have used several platforms and by far the one with the most design features is Klaviyo. It lets you edit both desktop and mobile versions which is a must considering most people look at their emails on their phones. It is also great at segmenting and creating flows. I do really like the ability to connect to your website and create pop-up banners that make it super easy to gather leads.

Evaluating Klaviyo and Competitors
Yes - We replaced Campaign Monitor. We needed a platform that gave us the ability to be more automated but that also provided more feedback on what we were doing well and not so well on our campaigns.
- Price
- Product Features
- Product Usability
- Product Reputation
We looked at all of Klaviyo's features, there was a lot of automation that other platforms did not have. The design aspect was also a big deal maker because most platforms do not let you customize the emails to such minute detail as Klaviyo does, and not having to reply on a coder for design but still being able to have great looking emails was a BIG plus. Klaviyo may not be cheap but compared to other companies out there it delivered a very fair price.
I think we made a great choice. It has helped us tremendously on segmenting our database, understanding how our consumer interacts with our content ad it has done a great job at evolving throughout the years. They continue to improve their product and refuse to remain stagnant which makes the decision we made the right one.
Klaviyo Implementation
- Implemented in-house
Change management was minimal
- Time consuming to create flows, but that is because we wanted everything very custom for us.
Klaviyo Support
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Quick Resolution Good followup Knowledgeable team Problems get solved No escalation required Immediate help available Support cares about my success Quick Initial Response | None |
We did not purchase premium support. The support we receive that was included in our plan was more than enough, and the platform runs so well that we did not feel the extra incurred cost was needed. We get feedback and help when we need it with what is provided.
There were several occasions when we needed some guidance on how to create paths, flows, and triggers and they did not hesitate to jump on a call and run us through it. We always know we can reach out and have someone help us through an issue if it presents itself.
