MailChimp - You Can Beat the Options for the Price!
Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp
I not only use this for my 9-5 SEO job, but use it for clients as well. It allows us to send emails to all of our customers very easily. There are also some nice automated features that you can integrate with any platform that you are using for your website. It also easily syncs up with many of my client's website platforms, which makes communication with customers so simple.
Pros
- Email Creation - Very easy to create emails. Drag and drop.
- Pricing - You can't beat the price. If you are a small business with less than 2,000 customers, it is free!
- Deliverability - We have never had any issues with emails getting into inboxes.
Cons
- Triggers/Automation - To compete with some of the bigger email platforms, they need more triggers and automation options.
- Better Support - There is only email and chat support. Phone support would be nice.
- Better Multistore Support - Better options for companies that are handling multiple websites in one account.
- Great return on investment. It is the best ROI we get from any advertising area.
- Takes the least amount of time to bring in the most amount of sales.
- Helps us reach our customers a few times per week in ways we wouldn't be able to usually.
Mailchimp is the most cost effective solution. The ease of use, the look of the emails, the options Mailchimp gives you, and the price of it all. There is no reason you should go with iContact or Constant Contact when Mailchimp is an option. They are just too easy to use and the ROI is too great to use anything else. Other like Klaviyo are better, but there are additional costs.
The biggest advantage was that MailChimp allowed us to sync up with multiple platforms. Whether SMS, post cards, Facebook, any platform that is popular syncs up with MailChimp. We have never run into an issues where we wanted to do some sort of marketing activity that we needed email synced and found MailChimp didn't sync with them.
The biggest change we did this year was syncing up LightSpeed, which is a store POS, with MailChimp. It allowed us to automate emails to customers that came into our store. It greatly increased our subscriber list and repeat customers because we no longer had to manually import emails into MailChimp, which was time intensive.
