Overall Satisfaction with Paycom

Paycom is our all-in-one HRIS system. Previously, the company was extremely manual with everything. Nothing was connected, and if it was, it wasn't done well. Paycom has brought almost all of it together and reduced the amount of time it takes to manage the employee life cycle. It is user-friendly for both the employee (front-end user) and the manager/admin (back-end user).

Pros

  • Customer Service- problems get solved quickly.
  • Easy of navigation within the system.
  • Transparency for administrators- we have the control.

Cons

  • GL set up can be clunky until you understand how it works.
  • Be able to edit document types. I made an entire document then realized I attached it incorrectly and had to start over.
  • Advanced Report Writer would be nice to combine multiple areas into one report easily.
  • Saved time for hiring and terminating employees
  • Reduce mistakes for missing information.
  • Offer solutions for ease of use for all users.
  • Puts the employee's information in their own hands.
It's truly all-in-one if you want it to be. Areas of the system talk to other areas in a system. If there are issues, you can talk to your specialist, and they work to resolve issues as quickly as possible. You don't have to put a ticket in and hope that it gets fixed eventually. They will also teach you how to use the system if it is something you have access to as an administrator—they won't just do it for you and move on.

It truly is an all-in-one system. They can do everything from one platform instead of opening another window on another site, keeping everything contained.

We were very manual in every aspect. We would have employees fill out paper forms and turn them into HR. HR then had to enter information into the vendor platforms, scan the documents, and file them in paper files. Steps were getting missed and lost. Now Paycom allows HR to initiate. The employee provides the information, and it feeds automatically to their personnel file or to the vendors. It's been a time saver.
Setting up accruals was huge for us. Our office administrator was keeping track of everyone's PTO amounts and dates used in Excel. Each employee had a calendar on a tab that would get marked off. Now, because our accrual policies were automated, employees can see how much time they have, request it, and see when it gets approved. The managers can then see right away and make decisions or set up GONE to just auto-approve and notify them.
Information is at everyone's fingertips. The system is straightforward and user-friendly from the front or back end. As the administrator, I don't have to wait for Paycom to fix something for me; I can fix it myself, and if I don't know how- Paycom will walk me through it.
