Overall Satisfaction with Procore

Procore is being used by all levels of our company to communicate with each other and insure all the latest documents are being used. Its being used to document the project and if an issue comes up it is quickly being handled through the documentation that we keep up with.
  • The thing I like the best is the photo storage which can be uploaded directly from the phone. Photos are quickly and easily accessed and can be searched by date and or keywords.
  • The number of features that this software has is mind blowing and its a one stop shop.
  • They integrate with many other software.
  • Plan comparisons
  • Cost.
  • Integration between projects if multiple companies all using Procore within their own company.
  • The thing I like the best is the photo storage which can be uploaded directly from the phone. Photos are quickly and easily accessed and can be searched by date and or keywords.
  • Biding a project has become less time consuming and easier to track.
We recently integrated facility grid commissioning service into procore to get an overview of that specific project. If using just for an update its nice so you can just go to procore instead of lo in to another service. That is currently the only one that we have integrated into.
We are currently just in the process of setting up the daily log function and have tailored the entry options to our needs. Once established the entry time for doing daily logs in the field will be drastically reduced. Also the home office will have instant access and history of the daily events.
We are a small company so there are only 2 admin users in our office that have been using Procore since the start of our service and the foreman have taking a liking to it as well and are starting to use it more often than they did before. We havent used it as a tool to attract yet.
We had never used an expansive product like this and would have to used multiple archaic means to manage a project. Photos were just being dumped into a folder on the computer, dropbox and other cloud sharing sites were used to share documents which made it difficult at times to insure the latest info was being provided.
We have been able to keep our field staff involved as well as our subcontractors. We are able to send large submittals through Procore and instantly track the progress and run a report. Multiple people from each company can even be involved with the project if needed. We also use it for bidding purposes at the start of a project.
The thing I like the best is the photo storage which can be uploaded directly from the phone. Photos are quickly and easily accessed and can be searched by date and or keywords. The cost of the software is hard to get past and could be difficult for some smaller companies.

Using Procore

10 - We have a couple users that are management in the office that use and update Procore and the other users are field staff and foreman that use it day to day to navigate the jobsite. From time to time we get another subcontractor that works under us that gains access and uses are account for the specific project as well.
2 - We have 2 admins in the office that are the management for the projects and are responsible for updating Procore with all the applicable drawings, spec, submittals, RFI and insuring that all info is up to date and accurate for the field staff.
  • photo sorting
  • current drawings
  • ease of access to submittals
  • Cloud storage
  • file transfer
  • photo storage
  • daily logs
  • invoicing with subcontractors
Procore has been everything we wanted it to me and more. The best part is that they continue to upgrade and improve the service and the user experience all while making it easy to keep up, learn and train on the system old and new.

Evaluating Procore and Competitors

  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
The functionality was the most important and we got that right away when we did the demo. Having all the items needed in once locations that was quick and easy to navigate was the selling point. The price was a factor but we understood what we were getting with this software so the price would follow.
I dont think we would change anything. We did trials and demos of all the services we found and drilled down on Procore as the leader and went from there and have been a happy customer since we signed up 3 years ago.

Procore Implementation

Procore took the time each week to make sure we were implemented and understood how to use their software and all the features. They also have many training sessions that are free to help learn. Once I had a good understanding of the operation it was much easier to implement with the field.
Change management was minimal - We dont use this module for change events currently and only have the project management module so I cant fully speak to this function and how we learned from the lesson during implementation because we didn't go through the implementation process. I will have to pass on answering this one.
  • taking the time to do it.
  • getting everyone to do it at the same pace

Procore Training

Yes it was easy to dive right in and learn by clicking but they also offer many videos and course to teach you

Configuring Procore

The system is set at what it is. There are adjustments to what you see when you create a log or report but after that its set.
Always insure you have uploaded the most current documents when you get them in order to insure that the field staff has them as well.

Procore Reliability

It was easy for office staff that are on computer everyday to learn it as well as older field staff that are not as tech savy
WE have not run into a situation where there has been an outage or reason we could get access to it
For the most part everything loads quick. There are rare situations when the site will glitch and will have to reload the page.

Integrating Procore

  • Facility Grid
It was a little cumbersome since the video didnt explain very well but I got it figured out.
  • Foundation Software
very basic support and not to the level that we are looking for.
I have not used any of these before.
Do a better job of making people aware of the integrations and capabilities. Unless I go to the marketplace and search for something I typically dont know about it. Sometimes I have received an email that makes an announcement about a big integration that was just finalized but they dont typically deal with me.
It has all the features that we were looking for from the start of a project such as bidding throughout the entire duration. The unlimited users makes it worry free when you want to insure all partied on the project are involved. The photo storage and searching of phots is something that we had been looking for for a long time.

Relationship with Procore Technologies

They are not pushy but rather persistent. When you reach out to them for something they jump right to it and make sure they are following up until the situation is closed.
They are always available.
Our contract was on a year to year basis and we had the set modules we wanted up front and could add more later if we wanted to.
Dont be afraid to reach out
