Overall Satisfaction with Zoho CRM

Our client used Excel to manage their members (organizations) and their respective statuses for many years. They wanted to track all active members, prospects, as well as expired members and what type of membership each of them is. They also wanted to keep track of the users and their contacts for each member.
  • Has a variety of features
  • Fields are all customizable and is pretty flexible
  • The admin UX (the interface that allows us to customize the fields, and configuration of the CRM) is pretty old school, from the stone age. It's also very slow.
  • They market them to be able to integrate with many 3rd party applications. But the integrations are not detailed enough and lack customization there. It wouldn't close the loop for us to fully integrate it with our client's website.
  • Increased member retention rates
  • Improved automation for membership renewal
  • Better management of key contacts
It has its pros and cons mentioned. If everything is already set up, using it is really nice and easy, and the interface is quick too. But configuration is a pain, and extremely messy, slow, almost like a tool from the Stone Age. Also, there are way too many plans and add-ons to really have a good grasp of what we need, and what they can offer.
Indeed, yes, too much configuration. The configuration of fields, its options, values, and parameters are way too many it was driving me nuts. It is highly configurable but just painful to explore.
Zoho CRM overall seems like a cheaper option, and does most of what we needed for our project.

Insightly, Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service), Amazon CloudFront, Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS), AWS Lambda, Amazon Route 53, Cloudflare, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling, Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)
If you don't really need any 3rd party integration, but need a small-scale, flexible, customizable records management system for internal purposes, then it's a great choice. Even the free plan would work.
