Adobe Analytics is great for customizing once you get used to the bogged down UI and the unhelpful location of items. we've used it to mimic paywall systems of costly companies. We have base reports set up to manage our paywalls set up in Adobe and they work great. But getting at the minute data is where the issue comes in and the add-ons are needed.

Although I was not a part of the initial deployment of Leadlander, when it came to renewing our contract and whether we would stick with Leadlander, our Leadlander representative was a great help and walked me through all of the features and capabilities we have currently utilized and could still make a part of our sales and marketing processes. LeadLander is a great way to get insights into how prospects view your product as well as the effectiveness of your website, landing pages, forms, etc. Their customer support is always available, and I have always been able to reach out to our contact whenever I had questions about the product or our account.

  • Adobe Analytics is a popular tool and seamless connections to popular analytic tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Adobe Analytics internal reporting tool is top notch.
  • Adobe Analytics has always provided us really strong customer support.

  • The dashboard gives a very good overview to allow the use to see most recent company visits and searches with a geographical breakdown as well. The search feature is very useful as it allows a more descriptive breakdown by company, ISP or people to what individual pages have been reviewing on the website.
  • This information is very useful for sales people who are already engaged with prospects. Knowing that a company is looking at certain website pages / products allows the sales person to have a much more relevant, informed conversation.
  • The product is integrated with Data.com (formely Jigsaw) and with LinkedIn which is useful.
  • The product produces good reports that can be emailed to share with colleagues. It's also possible to set up watch lists and tag companies that we are interested in so that if anyone from one of those companies visits the site, we are alerted immediately.

Cons

  • Adobe Analytics charges for conveniences that are stationary in other tools such as bitstream data.
  • Adobe Analytics UI is not very friendly.
  • Exporting data for multiple setups is cumbersome and can't be rolled up without additional addons.

We've found multiple uses for Adobe Analytics in our organization. Each department analyzes the data they need and creates actionables based off of that data. For E-Commerce, we're constantly using data to analyze user engagement, website performance and evaluate ROI.

Based on new user feedback, everyone has found it challenging to find what they need and customize reports to meet their desired outcomes. Different interfaces have inconsistent presentations and layouts which compound the challenge.

I give the rating of a 4 just because it seems more like a process that is failing. Any time I have put a request in, they have taken days, sometimes weeks, to get back to me and even then, the issue may still persist. I believe this is the biggest weakness of the Adobe Analytics tool and has a lot of room for improvement.

In-Person Training

It was a one-day training several years ago that cost the organization several thousand dollars. There were only about 10 people in the training class. Adobe tried to cram so much information into that one-day class that none of our users felt like they really learned anything helpful from the experience. Follow-up training is too expensive

Make sure you use a Tag Management System. Enterprise TMS solutions used to be very pricey but Adobe now offers DTM (previously Satellite) for free.

Alternatives Considered

Adobe Analytics is used in conjunction with Tealeaf and Splunk in my organization, with each having its specific use cases because of the different strengths and weaknesses. Adobe Analytics wasn't actually chosen by my organization, but rather it's what all the various lines of business use at my company so we want to all use a similar, consistent tool.

Return on Investment

  • We were able to identify that the number one reason that users visited our site for wasn't being properly taken care of and we were able to increase significantly the usage our our internet banking after improving this experience.
  • We could identify that customers were getting lost after being prompted to log in to complete a transaction from our marketing pages and were able to fix that, increasing online sales for our most profitable products.

  • Personally, I cannot say LeadLander has had a positive ROI. While it provides insight into what companies visit our website, it does not specifically say who - therefore we cannot target which specific employees from that company are visiting our website.
  • LeadLander does help validate which prospects are receptive to our outbound marketing campaigns and emails.
