I feel Cvent Event Management provides a more robust platform for keeping all of your event planning tools and content within one centralized platform. My experience of having to bounce from platform to platform only creates more room for error and usually leads to items …

Chose Cvent Event Management
Cvent Event Management is more customisable and has a lot more features than other suppliers. I am able to fully customise the delegates experience, such as emails, website and registration form. The surveys also allow for sub questions which can be very handy if you want …
Since I started in the industry we went from Starcite to Cvent and have not looked back. The benefits and features are unmatched and our company has built a great partner in Cvent. They are the innovators in the industry and we look to them as our partners for our events I do …
We used to use RegOnline. I do not have a lot of experience but we utilized the survey option in that for free registrations. It would be nice if there is a package we could pay for "free" events vs $3.99/registrant.
We evaluated ON24, and while their solution had a lot of good features, it did not encompass enough of the features Cvent Event Management offer to make it comparable. Cvent's support is also top in its league. Over the years, I have seen real growth in Cvent Event Management's …
The comprehensive solutions offered by Cvent Event Management were superior to the other solutions we evaluated. While some of them might have offered a few aspects of what we were looking for, Cvent offered enough to help us keep all aspects of the event with one vendor which …
My first year, we used Google Forms to collect attendee information, which was a painful process. Cvent Event Management took the entire process to the 21st century. The automation features and ease of end-user use played a large factor in our using their product. Plus, our …
If you have a big event (over 300 people) that requires an app, has a substantial agenda and/or lots of sponsors - then Cvent Event Management is for you. I would never recommend it to a client that didn't have a ton of cash, as it's an expensive asset. If you have a complicated event in any way shape or form, it is a LIFE saver.
Positive: The virtual workspace created for a work team within the same company, for the resemblance of information and communications in one place.Negative: The access for members of a non-profit organization who have external emails from the host but need the same access as an internal person since their volunteer work is part of the very core of the federation.
Cvent Event Management's platform offers a great way to build out diverse event structures. Their platform is very customizable so it can work with almost any event structure there is.
Their software integrates extremely well together. We use them for our event App and On-Site solutions and being able to have each piece be a one-stop facet is great. I don't have to edit different aspects in multiple different places since they systems all work cohesively.
The customer support is fantastic. Between having our own set team assigned to us for questions as well as various methods to reach out to them through chat, open cases, phone calls and emails, you're always able to get ahold of someone. Whenever I have had an issue that the person I was speaking with didn't have the solution for, they always escalate it until they get the answer for me.
The Exhibitor and Speaker Management tools really help reduce redundancy and keep track of all facets of the event. Especially when there are upwards of 50 of each it can be hard to track all of the elements needed from them. Cvent Event Management allows you to assign tasks to each exhibitor or speaker and can send reminders to those with incomplete tasks.
You have to implement a workaround to use images in your session descriptions.
They tend to add features by acquiring other platforms, but then don't always cleanly integrate them into Cvent itself, so they always seem sort of ratcheted on.
The media and document library is pretty basic, so you need to take extra steps to link PDFs and other documents within the registration process if you choose to host the docs on Cvent.
The feature of notifications in the mobile application could be improved. Sometimes notifications of different teams are not visible and are only visible when the application is opened.
It uses lots of computational resources while running and thus, slows down the system sometimes.
It allows a few channels per team. The number of channels could be increased for better productivity.
We are very pleased with the features that Cvent gives us. The ease of use and the immediate support when something does stump us. Cvent provides us with everything that we need to run a successful event. The only reason I did not Rate Cvent as a 10 is the cost
Microsoft Teams is included with our Office 365 subscription and we have no intention of migrating off of Office 365 and Microsoft products. Since Microsoft Teams is included for free with our Office 365 subscription, and since we enjoy all the features, benefits, and functionality, there is no question that our team will continue to use the product
Cvent has a lot of functionality, which can be overwhelming to new users who are not too technically savvy. However, Cvent does a great job of providing tools and support for users to learn and troubleshoot. I also appreciate the work and progress that Cvent has been making in Accessibility.
User experience has been much better than the previous Skype for Business app. It has an easy-to-use interface with persistent chats. The search feature is very fast and useful. MS Teams has mostly focused on Collaboration and team building features which are very useful for organizational communications. Since Teams is accessible from multiple platforms like Laptop, Desktop, Mobile phones, etc it has been very convenient from a Mobility perspective.
Cvent does go down pretty frequently. And while it often doesn't impact day to day use usually, if it does go down at the wrong time, you may not be able to access very important event information when you need it. Usually outages do not last very long, but it could still be a very bad situation if this happens at the wrong moment
The company offers 24/7 customer support, including phone, email, and chat support, to ensure that we can get help when we need it. Additionally, the platform has a comprehensive help center and knowledge base, including user guides, tutorials, and FAQs, which help us troubleshoot issues on our own. Cvent also provides training and support resources, including onboarding assistance, live training sessions, and webinars, which help us get the most out of the platform. Overall, Cvent appears to be committed to providing excellent customer support and resources to its users, which can help ensure a positive user experience and successful events.
Using Microsoft Teams has resulted in much faster business communications with both co-workers and consultants. There has been little need for support with this software as the interface is very intuitive and the product is overall very well designed. We did encounter an issue with the built-in phone service, however, this was quickly resolved by the support team.
Our on-site trainer was very knowledgeable in the product and gave us very important pointers on best practices and how to perform tasks in the simplest manner
It would have been nice during implementation if we had received more pointers on how to organize our parked report folders, libraries, etc. to avoid the mess we find ourselves in today. If we had known ahead of time the limitations we could have planned better.
The top reason I prefer Cvent Event Management over NetForum is the customer support. Our Account Manager and Customer Support Staff are in constant communication with us. They anticipate our needs and help us find the solutions. If we don't feel confident in a product, they loop in a specialist to provide training.
Our company and IT department previously used Skype for our communication needs. Skype was not dependable in my opinion, because it seems each time I used it during a call and/or a meeting, I and several other team members would get disconnected more than once. This caused a great interruption of our meeting, caused team members to have to ask others to repeat themselves and caused a general lack of interest in employee attendance during meetings.
Honestly, this tool is worth every penny. Yes, it's not free and you pay for the quality of services and the license. But the ROI and the benefits are all there. Also, the renewal, negotiation, and contract terms are all very well explained by our Microsoft account manager, and she's a charm.
I used Skype for Business to take calls, hold conferences, and provide remote assistance to users. Microsoft Teams, on the other hand, is superior to Skype for Business in my opinion. My job entails a lot of screen sharing.
