BILL Spend & Expense is free for all users
Ramp provides a free tier for smaller teams who want to simplify finances. A step-up to our free tier is Ramp Plus, starting at $15/month/user along with platform fees based on team size. Then, for large businesses, the Enterprise plan requires a custom quote.
Pricing starts at $149 per month for the platform fee. Users can upgrade to Tipalti's more advanced capabilities as their businesses gets more complex.
The Tipalti pricing model is designed to grow with the user's company. Advanced features such as W-8 tax forms, international tax IDs, or multi-entity payables are available as needed.
Bill Spend & Expense and Ramp are pretty comparable, but we ended up making the change to Ramp based on three factors: 1. The actual receipt or invoice uploads into Sage Intacct, so when reviewing financials, everything is in one place. 2. The cashback program was much simpler …
BILL Spend & Expense was one of the more affordable options, very user friendly and very good for creating easy ways to pay through BILL Spend & Expense or to assign budgets through BILL Spend & Expense. Some of the other options did offer more features but we did not normally …
These solutions were all great in their own ways. The two main reasons we chose Ramp was because of their innovation around AI. They have implemented AI Agents in their tool to help enforce the company expense policy and help managers be more efficient in reviewing and …
Ramp has a much better UI and easier workflow compared to Ramp. I was able to ramp up with Ramp in less than a month and become very proficient within 3.
They are very similar. I do like how Divvy and Bill offer great credit card solutions. But when it comes down to automating the accounts payable function within your organization it is very similar and both offer a great product with similar pros and cons. Overall Tipalti is a …
There is a lot of functionality available for any company, and when you combine it with their A/P processing software, I'm sure the value of the software only increases. If you don't look back through your credit card receipts often, or don't have a lot of volume, the receipts not uploading into the accounting software isn't as much of an issue. For us, with roughly $200k of credit card spending each month, it became an issue. The rewards program was hard for us to take advantage of also, mostly because of our spending being spread across multiple companies. Even though we had everything set up together as one business, they still recognized each one as it's own, with it's own rewards requirements. I wouldn't deter anyone from going with Bill Spend & Expense, it's a solid program with a lot of capability, there are just a few small items that mattered to us more than the capabilities we take advantage of.
Ramp is well suited for managing everyday spending. We have been able to set standard permissions across the board for our team, monitor spending easily, and adjust "allowances" accordingly and quickly. The instant funding once a request is approved makes it so much faster to make a purchase, if outside of the set parameters. Ramp travel offerings are sometimes unattractive, and we have found many flights, hotels, and car rentals by going to other platforms or the suppliers directly. Pricing is comparable, but many times it is cheaper to book outside of Ramp.
I would tell them that it manually syncs to ERPS. Additionally I would include the fact that you can pay multiple entities in one pay run allowing to be very efficient. I would also include that they can add rules to bill approvals or set up auto payments for certain vendors. Lastly, there are many reports you can run providing you will very informational data in seconds.
I wish there were more options in the BILL reimbursement platform - for example, the ability to do a report instead of submit a single expense.
We would love for reimbursements to feed into QuickBooks differently, but we understand that this is an early feature and hope it is further developed in the future.
Even more integration to have us spend less time on reporting expenses for grant reports
This does not happen often, but if you make a purchase and then cancel it with the vendor, for some reason, Ramp does not immediately recognize that purchase cancellation and will continue to remind you to submit a receipt or tag it as an accidental charge, but there is no option to tag it as a canceled purchase.
The report that provides the "Not payable" vendors does not work well for us, particularly because the sync to our ERP goes both ways, which means all of the employees also sync over to Tipalti and remain as Not Payable. So the list is very long, and I don't find a good use for it.
Solid system performance. Suits our needs and solution provider very inclined to accept feedback and involve users in developing the solution to serve both the provider and the ultimate user. Tipalti has streamlined our process that was previously very manual and prone to error. Now there is transparency of information and role.
The Divvy card provides convenience and flexibility for Finance to manage and monitor each user's transactions at any time. User can issue many virtual cards for different purposes. Transactions can be easily approved. Since we can monitor transaction closely, fraud can be prevented effectively. Mobile app is user friendly and safe.
Ramp offers an exceptionally intuitive user interface with a clean, well-organized design. The platform demonstrates continuous improvement through regular feature enhancements and updates. New employee onboarding requires minimal training due to the platform's logical section-based layout and user-centric design, which facilitates rapid adoption and efficient navigation. Overall Ramp's interface and UI is very user friendly.
Two-time Tipalti selector, implementor, and user. The payment features in the app saves many steps in the payment process. No longer do you have to set-up or upload payment information to your bank and then go back to your accounting system and mark items as paid. Tipalti does all of this with a click of a mouse. The payment feature is the stand out feature. Many vendors can process your invoices. Look at how at the payment process of others.....you will see.
We have enjoyed using Divvy and its functions. The Divvy team has been great, and their support team is outstanding. They have a chatbox on the platform, and they only seem to be someone on call. I have found its benefits to be outstanding, that I recommend it to my clients. I also feel that Divvy rolling out new features only makes it more compelling to stay on as a user.
Since I also work in customer support, I often have to contact Tipalti's team with questions from our users. Tipalti's support team has always been exceptionally helpful and it was a pleasure to communicate with them. I have always received prompt responses to any inquiries and they are excellent at solving our customers' issues within a short time
Nothing out there compares to the agility and ease of use of Divvy. Adoption by those most resistant to any expense reporting tool has always been the #1 painpoint to all other such software. Divvy takes the pain away even for creatives and salespeople!
We moved to Ramp from Expensify at our accountant's advice. We went with her advice due to ease of use, ease of Quickbooks sync, ability to send reminders with one click, and more. We are very happy with the decision to switch to Ramp.
From initial implementation through to user experience, Tipalti has been able to exceed our expectations in terms of its functionality and useability. We have found with other systems implemented in the past they did not match our expectations which resulted in us terminating these services.
The actual dollar savings is difficult to determine at this point. We'll have a better idea the ROI at the end of the year. Previously, we received 1% back on all purchases with our corporate card. We receive 1.5% with Ramp, pay per number of cards annually (for Ramp Plus) to auto-lock cards and for additional features.
Time savings for admin and employees has been significant due to ease of use.
Vendor onboarding has taken the responsibility from one person to the Vendor directly. This provides the vendor with the ability to enter their own banking information for payments and upload their Federal W9 form.
Vendors can upload their own invoices to the system, taking the possibility that our AP team did not receive an emailed or mailed invoice to upload. This also increases payment efficiency as the vendor's invoice is processed in a more timely manner.
AP can review invoices for accuracy and concentrate on how to code an invoice, rather than be a paper pusher or a data entry clerk. AP doesn't spend time searching for invoices that might be a duplicate, the system will communicate this on the software review process and if AP has uploaded by email the same invoice multiple times, an email will be sent to AP to indicate that the invoice was not uploaded due to duplication.
