PrismHR is an HR software platform that enables Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs) and Administrative Service Organizations (ASOs) to offer their clients a technology portal as part of their HR outsourcing services. Through PrismHR, PEOs and ASOs can provide clients technology to manage: Hiring Benefits Administration HR Administration Payroll Employee Self Service (Onboarding, Benefits Enrollment, etc.) Time and…
PrismHR is exclusive to PEO, BerniePortal is best for small groups, UltiPro is mainly just a bit prettier, and BambooHR is one that a valued client chose and enjoyed but seems nearly identical in function. I think Infinisource iSolved would stack up to any of these for a …
isolved has a much more robust system that fits our business needs. The recruiting and onboarding are faster and easier. The payroll is very easy to process and does not have too many moving pieces. Although the reporting is not as "pretty" as data retriever in PrismHR, …
Isolved is great with payroll and payroll changes as well as onboarding. Our benefit open enrollment went well and for the most part was stress free, there were a few hiccups with our 3rd party supplemental insurances. Because of their complexity and they way they are processed through payroll there was a little confusion and things needed to be adjusted. But due to the flexibility of the system the issues didn't become big problems.
PrismHR is well suited for running payroll and generating reports, managing employees, and creating a database with employee pay and benefit information. This wouldn’t be a learning and development platform or performance management system. It’s also not a great tool for automating data per department or financial dashboard. Lastly, I do not think previously it had a strong enough cyber security which is why there was a data breach. Thankfully sensitive information wasn’t compromised though.
A way to email hiring managers and our IT department at the same time with a template would save us from so much email communication
Transfer all attached documents such as interview notes from iHired applicants to isolved employee documents would save us time uploading into multiple places
Due to the continued problems (time clock disconnects, regular post-update issues) and users' negative attitude, we are unlikely to renew. Another important factor is that TF is US-centric, so it does not account for local Philippine specifics, which is important to us.
I have found as the administrator it is very cumbersome for most individuals to use and it is not very intuitive. An individual that is not technologically advanced will have difficulty using as well as those that are lazy and just do not want to learn to do it. The manuals they give you are not helpful for the web-based program. I had to create my own with pictures for most individuals to understand the system.
We recently canceled our contract with Isolved and moved to Paychex. One thing to consider is that if you leave isolved all access to your data ends 30 days after termination of the contract. Not a big deal for me since I have the reports and data I need, but it is also terminated for your employees to access pay stubs or old w2s. If you want to keep access it is $250 per month. It seems strange that they can hold your data hostage and they wouldn't just allow employees to have access to their pay stubs and other information they may need months after a change in payroll companies.
The system was very cumbersome setting up as well as time consuming. There were times I just wanted to walk away and sometimes I did have to get up and walk away for a break and come back with a fresh perspective. The setup took me over a period of two to three months getting it to serve the purposes that we needed it two. I am very intuitive when it comes to computer software however getting all the right buttons checked in order for it to do what I needed didn't always work.
I went with iSolved because the people I spoke with were all quick to answer and very thorough in their responses. I knew they could help me build my setup the way I wanted it, and not just force me to work within some pre-set parameters once I had signed the contract.
We previously used TriNet, ADP Total source, ADP Resource. PrismHR is more basic in design for both the manager and user. But in the end, it does the same work all these other platforms perform, but at a lesser cost which is better for the company as it saves us money so we can pass along savings to our employees.
