I'm a beginner in all this designing stuff, so I chose Canva because it's so user-friendly, whereas to use Photoshop you have to have a lot of existing skill. Photoshop can give you more professional and detailed visuals than Canva, so if you have the skills and knowledge then you should go with Photoshop. Otherwise, you can stick with Canva and still get really great results.

Start Designing Today
We selected Canva over Adobe Photoshop because of the learning curve. No real training is required with Canva because of its drag and drop design features. All you have to do to get started with Canva is open a template and start customizing it. Adobe Photoshop, on the other hand, is a completely different story. While offering a lot more features than Canva, Adobe Photoshop has a lot of features that the average designer/publisher won't ever need to use.

I would pick Canva for the ease of use for small quick projects. I would use the other programs for creating more complex projects like wall wraps or posters, etc. Canva does not have the ability to scale for projects such as a wall wrap. The precision that is required for that type of project is much better handled by the Adobe projects with Illustrator being the one I would use.

Great product for small, agile teams
Canva is much simplier to use, as the cost of a limited set of features and functionality.. However, Canva is able to produce a similar level of quality output, with a significantly smaller learning curve and level of experience required. Canva fit the needs of our team in our context today (small, agile, no dedicated design staff).

Easily creating graphics for all social media
There are genuine differences between top of the line suites like Adobe and Corel. Canva isn't intended to rival their capacity to deliver top of the line custom illustrations. What it does well is creating the most widely recognized substance at lightning speed, with a high level of demonstrable skill, and at a small amount of the expectation to absorb information and cost. With more straightforward contenders like PicMonkey and LucidPress, I discovered Canva to be less demanding to utilize, and more practical. It's a strong coordinated effort instrument with almost no erosion.

A time-saving tool for design novices
Canva certainly doesn't have all the features of Photoshop, but for basic needs (read: social media posts) it is a no-brainer. It's intuitive, requires little training, and you can adapt it to your needs pretty well. I don't think it will ever replace Photoshop, but it is a nice complement that makes design a little less time-intensive.

Canva: Pretty pretty and pretty simple.
Visme is a very similar product- so similar, I'm not sure how to differentiate them. They look a little different, they work a little different, but they take about the same amount of effort on about the same learning curve to create about the same quality of results.
Prior to implementing Canva in my department, we relied on Adobe InDesign and occasionally Photoshop or Illustrator. While much more powerful than Canva, these platforms required a lot of staff support, outside training (we even sent staff to expensive classes). Our versions of these software alternatives also did not live in the cloud. Canva lives in the cloud, and can be used by a staff member with little to no design experience, and no outside training or technical support.

Canva for Marketing
Photoshop can be used to create highly personalized, high quality images. For Canva, users are a little bit more limited in what they're able to use. However, if they're looking to create quick and attractive marketing material, Canva is better suited for the job. With the pre-made templates, it makes work so much quicker.
Photoshop is an advanced image and vector tool that has a massive learning curve. It is not for everyone but once you get the hang of it, it is very versatile for designing all kinds of graphics whether for social media or print campaigns. When used hand in hand with the Adobe CC suite, it works almost like Magic. However, considering the monthly cost and learning curve, it just did not feel like the right fit for our team. We wanted to be able to have all our designs saved online and accessible to anyone on the team whenever they needed them, so Canva won us over.

Canva is great for small businesses!
Canva is so so much easier to use - photoshop can be very difficult to learn and download and it's a whole different ballgame. Canva provides some pre-made graphics elements for you to use, which make it very easy, and the software is so easy to master it's probably a better bet than photoshop.
Canva shows much more potential in helping me to be creative and it has much clearer images, and backgrounds after you have download it. There are a lot features and test patterns.

It’s user friendly, simple, and has a ton of vectors and such on it.
I am a one-person Marcom department for a school. While I have some experience with Adobe products, Canva makes it really easy to quickly design eye-catching materials for social media, our website, flyers, etc. I love that I can upload our logo and other branding elements to create a palette that is consistent with our style guide.

Canva empowers designers of all skill levels
I use Snappa in conjunction with Canva because I like the way I'm able to organize infographics in Snappa but I prefer Canva's image editing piece.
I've used Picresize. The problem with that site is all you can do is resize the image. You're not able to edit the image or put your own mark on it. This made creating specifically branded images for my clients extremely difficult until I found Canva. Canva allows me to do all of that and more.

Great for quick and dirty projects
Illustrator is great for detailed vector illustrations and larger design projects, but locating and importing templates takes much longer. Canva comes with all of the templates I could want, so it's great for projects I need to complete in a hurry.
Adobe products are more reobust and give you a greater degree of control over the smallest of details. They are much better for sophisticated designers who need that control. Canva is a stripped down version that still allows you to create excellent graphics, and without much financial commitment. As a web app, Canva makes it easy to drag and drop, save using different file types, and download your files.
I have only used canva for creative marketing collateral and have not looked into other software.

If you want to create beautiful designs in 10 minutes, then Canva is the tool you need

As I already mentioned, Canva is great. I also tried other tools, like Snappa. I'd say Snappa is also a very useful and nice tool, but its free version has limitations on the number of downloads. So Canva definitely wins here! And also Canva offers more ready-made templates for various types of online materials and documents.

Canva is a free tool that provides you with powerful features to use in your content marketing. It is easy enough for the DIY user and powerful enough for many pro designers. There are many use-cases where you need more powerful tools, but if you're looking for something fast, easy, and accessible, it's hard to go wrong here.

Easily creating graphics for all social media
- SumoPaint and Pablo
Despite its integration with Buffer, Pablo is very limited compared to Canva. I present both Pablo and Sumopaint to my students as possible options to Canva, but so far, no one has chosen them.
Sumopaint has a lot of potential, since it allows heavy editing of images, but it also is more difficult to learn and to use, so, for most daily uses, Canva is still the best choice.
