Modern, DevOps First Workflow Orchestration with Unlimited Integration Possibilities
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Automate business processes and workflows across a variety of systems, both on-prem and off, as well as interact with services and other third party tools. It allows us to get the single pane of glass vision across processes that are critical to the business. It also allows us to integrate with existing systems and vendors without having to reinvent the wheel or spend developer time having to write custom code.
Pros
- File Transfers / Data Transfers
- Integration with Third Party Systems, Providers and Cloud Services
- Integration with DevOps toolsets and practices
- Ability to manage and monitor workflows that span multiple systems
- Ability to audit and track changes to workflows for compliance
Cons
- Application Integrator should be redesigned as more of a studio/dev environment
- Need to add the ability to "on demand" or "free form" file transfers - get away from the profile concept for that, or at least make it optional.
Return on Investment
- Helps deliver outcomes faster by being able to quickly design workflows using pre-built integrations
- Being able to use Jobs as Code/Automation API speeds development time of workflows and integrates better with existing toolchains
- Single Pane of Glass helps reduce the time to track down issues when something goes wrong in a workflow
