We utilize Cvent Surveys by taking polls, forms, complex registrations for VIP registrations and quick surveys post registration to building events. All surveys we send out help us to build a better and more user-friendly registration, it also gives the build of the event some insight into the wants and needs of the audience.

Cvent surveys are most often used after an event or meeting to collect post event feedback. Sometimes it is used in advance of a meeting or event to collect data that we need to assist with planning, such as best dates or locations. Surveys are also used in the middle of planning at times, to help with quick information that we need to collect.

Cons

  • Reporting can be a little frustrating at times
  • It's another separate product to add on to Cvent - so an additional fee
  • Data doesn't connect directly to a person or event, which would be a helpful feature

Surveys for events is a need!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our company uses Cvent Surveys to gather information from our attendees for breakout sessions in order to give feedback to the speakers and make sure the information we are teaching is relevant. Before Cvent Surveys, we had to manually gather what people wrote and input it in an excel document. Now, all I have to do is select which survey I want and it organizes it in a document perfectly. It’s very convenient and saves me and my team a lot of time on prepping surveys for our marketing team.

Pros

  • Organizes feedback into 1 document.
  • Allows different surveys to be pulled, such as main session surveys and breakout session surveys.
  • Gives additional data, such as graphs on attendance per session.

Cons

  • It was a little tough to find the correct survey report to print. Maybe make them a sub category at the top that has the breakdown for each type of survey.
  • Having the option to automatically pop up surveys after a session, but also allow people to click into too.
  • Giving incentives to filling out surveys. Feedback is key to have.

  • Significant increase in attendee survey completion.

  • Decrease time to pull surveys and send out so I can have more time in my day.

Adding Cvent Surveys allowed us to integrate our event management system and our survey/feedback tool into one software. We previously used a third party that required a separate survey for each session and now we only have to maintain one survey.

  • Page break feature is intuitive

Cons

  • Not easy to send test emails
  • Sometimes the auto send feature does not send
  • The categories for attendee status is a little confusing as it is not clear whether the status pulls from the event status or the survey status.
