I use HoneyBook as the main CRM for the business. We leverage it for client inquiries, invoice/proposal processing, and client management. It solved for having multiple external platforms to send contracts, onboard clients, and collect payments into one platform. It also was instrumental in streamlining automated processes early in the business lifecycle with an agile staff team.
  • Client Inquiry Management
  • Contracts & Proposals
  • Automated Workflows & Scheduling
Cons
  • Phone app in development, not as robust / intuitive as the web-based platform
I would recommend Honeybook to other coaches, consultants, and small business owners. It may not be appropriate for a large team's use, but works for the size of organization I currently own and manage. It also integrates with QuickBooks and makes financial data management fairly seamless.

HoneyBook is a win for service providers

HoneyBook is used to invoice and keep track of payments from my clients. I have also used HoneyBook as a CRM and lead generation on my website to book discovery calls with potential clients. It has streamlined the amount of applications I have to use in my business and has been helpful during tax time.
  • Invoicing
  • CRM
  • Lead Generation
Cons
  • Price
  • Ease of use
  • Customization
HoneyBook is great for an established service based small business that has a small team or even a solopreneur. There is a bit of a learning curve for new businesses so I don't recommend it for someone just started out for that reason and that the price has recently gone up.

I use HoneyBook as my CRM which captures leads, then I send a proposal/contract/invoice. All of my communications are handled through HoneyBook, it allows to me see if clients and potential clients have viewed information that I have sent over. For my business, which has different contracts, I am able to send the appropriate contract to the right type of client, then I am able to apply auto-recurring payments. By using HoneyBook, I no longer need to chase clients down for payments.
  • Lead capture is simple.
  • Workflows help move the client through the process so I am not tied to the computer.
  • Easy of use - you do not need to be super "techy" in order to use it.
  • It has an APP - I need to have an app on my phone.
  • Recurring payments - I hate chasing payments.
  • Email/Gmail Integration - I can answer emails in my standard GMAIL app and they are tracked inside HoneyBook.
Cons
  • I'd like to see it integrate with other email systems.
  • There are still some triggers I would like to be developed in the Workflow.
  • Better File Organization.
I recommend HoneyBook to a lot of clients. It is perfect for all sorts of businesses. Currently, I work with bookkeepers, accountants, virtual assistants, coaches and other businesses.

Honeybook has been fully adapted into the daily use of our company. From sales, operations, and QA we use Honeybook to nurture, close, collected needed information, and follow up with past clients. It helps us keep all client information organized and in one area, as well as giving us the tools we need to easily sign and close new clients.
  • Proposals
  • Workflows and Automation
  • Client Tracking CRM
Cons
  • Calendar Booking
  • Integrations with other tools on Zapier
Ever since the update to invoices and smart proposals the service has gone downhill in my opinion. From my experience clients hate using the software and we have lost clients because they can't figure out how to pay us. We ended up going directly to stripe payments.

Honeybook for the win!

If you are a small solopreneur wearing all the hats, Honeybook is for you. Honeybook takes all your admin work and puts it in a nice package complete with organization and automation. You can automate yet keep your client experience from inquiry to the final goodbye. It's like having a VA on your team that never needs a break.
  • AI note-taking for meetings is phenomenal.
  • Their forms are super customizable and have multi-page options.
  • Customer service is awesome.
Cons
  • The client portal/communication process can be annoying on the client end.
  • They aren't task-holders like programs similar to Trello.
  • The ability to delete projects needs to happen.
It is good for single owners or very small teams. If you run a large business with many moving parts/people - this may not be the right fit.
