Veeam Backup for AWS, the best solution for us!
We use Veeam Backup for AWS for a group of VM in IAS suscription. This VM have application for medical auditor on land. It is really importat to hace high availability of this VM al time. We use Veeam Backup for AWS to backup and restore this machine.
- Our operator have the same interface por restore on-premise as in cloud VM machine.
- Veeam Backup for AWS has a full integration with AWS Cloud Computing Platform
- The integration of Veeam One will be Great.
- We are using S3 repository. It is really hard to implement inmutable repository with out this service.
- The report of its jobs is a litle simple and we have to make inform manually of its jobs.
- The backup copy is difficult to operate and deploy.

Powerful solution that meets IT backup needs.
Veritas backup software is a friendly user backup software which is safe and secure by all means and well protected with all features including cloud storage protection as well. The best GUI which i have ever seen compared to other complex software and with a very good track record. The ease of use for any simple new user with very minimal clicks to enable, schedule or restore backups is the core of this application.

How Veeam Backup for AWS affects my organization
I use Veeam Backup for AWS in my organization to protect it. It's easy and fast to recovery documents for accidental deletion, get protected from ransomware or something went wrong and lost data. I can do full and file level backup than can works with my organization with full backup just in weekends and the other days to do file level backup.

Veeam Backup for AWS is simply ideal.
We use Veeam Backup for AWS for both physical
workstations and virtualized server backups. We have three physical
servers, and a couple of dozen workstations, and run three virtualized servers.
Backup and recovery are critical to our business, as it is for any business
running a database or having other critical data. Veaam Backup helps us
minimize our downtime as backup and restore operations run smoothly and
reliably when needed. With Veeam, any time we need to restore data it is
essentially available at our fingertips, so with a moment's notice we can
restore things at a file level, or even if there were a disaster scenario or if
we were the victims of a crypto lock or similar attack, Veeam Backup for AWS
will be there to get us back up and running in no time. It is a truly indispensable
product for our business. I would highly recommend Veeam Backup for AWS to anyone that is serious about data integrity and disaster recovery.

Our organisation utilises Veeam backups for restoring VMs, fileshares and databases. We have found Veeam to be very reliable, easy to use via the graphical user interface, and it has reduced our recovery times massively. It also has great support for SQL Server application aware backups that allow us to provide transactionally consistent recovery points.

Adopting for a stable backup and DR strategy
We currently use Veeam Backup for AWS to backup our EC2s and as an integral part of meeting our SLAs as a fall back mechanism in the event of any failures or anomalies.

- When creating a backup job with Veeam, you can create a daily backup, but it doesn't do it within that job. It does not give you the ability to also set the terms for monthly and/or weekly backups. It has to be a separate job.

- CDP also requires a lot of development, because there are a lot of restrictions now for CDP. There is a chance to improve CDP and make it much easier for the customers

High end Backup product for cloud usage
In house we use Veeam backup for AWS with our hosted VMs as well as Veeam products elsewhere. We have a small team and the veeam dashboard is very easy to onboard any new IT users. Recovery of individual files as well as full VM snapshots are very easy to handle and we have never run across any issues with the product.

We use Veeam Backup for AWS to backup all of our AWS EC2 instances as well as our VPCs across multiple AWS accounts. It was such a pain to manage backups using the built-in backup tools in AWS, and Veeam Backup for AWS makes managing our AWS backups so much easier. We're also able to keep an eye on our VBA backups within our Veeam Backup and Replication console, which we use for our on-prem VMware backups. It really is a time saver!

AWS Backups expanded
Veeam sits in our Amazon cloud environment and backs up our virtual servers. This is done outside the Amazon process so the backups are not in the same location as the others. We made this call to avoid encryption schemes since most of the time they just target the normal locations. Having a backup solution outside the norm is very important.

Budget Friendly Backup Service
I used it to back up my existing cluster which I hosted on Microsoft Azure. It is actually good that it also supports other cloud platforms which helped us test our resources and this backup services on other cloud platforms as well, which included AWS and Google Cloud. The business problem was about making a backup of the existing cluster without messing with it in any way and we also had less talent in this field which made it hard for us to do this. But Veeam services are quite user-friendly and easy to use with great customer support, so we were able to perform the backup and even test it on our different clusters as well.

- Resource consumption was little bit high, so it would be great if we could save some resources.

Veeam Backup for AWS - on stop solution for DR, back-up and recovery.
Veeam Backup for AWS helped us to protect and back-up cloud artifacts. This involved appliances, DB, configs, and so on. The scope of the project is to have a backup of all configs and data and the ability to restore in the shortest possible time in case of cyber attacks or failures. The solution helps to take a snapshot and restore it near no time, which helps in business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

Great marketplace solution for your backup needs in AWS Cloud
While working at VMware, I was part of the Cloud business office. All the BUs which used to host their production environment on the AWS cloud will use Veeam Backup for AWS to take regular backups of their to compute workloads (EC2, containers, S3, etc.). Although AWS launched its own Backup service, the Veeam solution expanded well across all the solutions and provide a consistent and fully-automated management experience. Having a prior experience in Veeam solution for taking backup of vSphere VMware infrastructure also helped us.

- Developer friendly and provide a single pane of glass to manage backup for all AWS services
- Block and File level backup and recovery
- Latency was an issue sometimes and after backing up data for 95%, the backup will fail and we will have to re-run
- UX is great but we would like to have more CLI usage and automation baked into the solution. Especially now when GitOps (IaC) is getting traction.
- Pricing wise the Veeam solution was difficult for native business to adopt.

Have Veeam! Less engineers required in your backup team
Veeam Backup is a great software. We started using the server version of Veeam Backup and Replication for our VMware workload in 2016 till date. Before Veeam we tried multiple other backup solution, but the simplicity like Veeam was nowhere available. Similarly the AWS version is simple, easy to use, and does the backup and restore efficiently.
- Option of incremental with a synthetical full backup is a great
- Multiple restore options such as Instant recovery, complete recovery works fine
- Application-aware restore supports many commonly used applications such as active directory, major databases, etc. And helps to recover single application items instead of full EC2.
- I am still unable to take advantage of the replication feature, it's somewhat complicated
- Probably after some training it could be easier
- Otherwise main backup and restore feature are great to use

AWS Backups Simplified and Good integration for Hybrid Workloads.
We have a hybrid on-prem and cloud VM infrastructure. Previously to Veeam Backup for AWS we had to outsource backups and management of our AWS servers which was less than ideal. They were stored separately and not part of our backup landscape. Veeam Backup for AWS brought all of our AWS servers into a single pane of glass so there was a central point for backup management.

- Removes the need for AWS scripting.
- Makes it easy to backup AWS instances back to on-premise.
- Failback could be more automated.
- Cost of Running the EC2 instance to run Veeam Backup for AWS could be prohibiting for smaller companies.
