Zoho Invoice for Small Business

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I run a private tutoring network of mentors who assist students in a variety of ways from providing one-to-one tutoring online, to providing college admission guidance and research. Zoho invoice has a customizable set of items that I can use to give my clients a line-item view of what they are being charged for. Zoho Invoice also gives me the ability to "clone" an entry in the invoice so that I don't have to keep adding them one by one. Additionally, Zoho Invoice keeps a client bank that allows me to access a clients account in a just one or two clicks to see their invoices, payment history etc. Zoho Invoice incorporates all sorts of payment options from Stripe, to Zelle, which makes collecting payments easier than anything I've tried. But, the most beneficial aspect is the cost. No matter the service you want, there is a level that fits you and your business perfectly. I am saving hundreds of dollars a month over other services I have used in the past.

Pros

  • Client data is well organized and easy to access quickly.
  • Creating Line-Item Invoices is quick and repeatable.
  • Payment option integration over multiple platforms is exceptional
  • Automating Reminders to clients saves me a ton of time!
  • Being able to customize just about everything about the invoice makes it very personal to my business.

Cons

  • The main dashboard view takes some time to filter through what you're looking at so that could be a little simpler even though it's not bad.
  • The ability to switch off unnecessary information in a client file would be helpful, or just being able to identify the client more simply.
  • Because my business is a private business with private client information, a built in protection or optional protection integration against cyber threats would be nice.

Return on Investment

  • The biggest ROI for my business is that Zoho Invoice reduced the cost of invoicing so much, that I was able to invest that savings back into the business development allowing us to grow.
  • Zoho Invoice provides the option of giving your clients a client portal through which they have access to their own accounts and can see and print their own reports as needed. That helps to create a transparency that our clients love.
  • Zoho Invoice has been dependable. I have not had one issue with using the platform or its functions since I switched to it a few years ago.
