Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We use it across our organization as our HRIS system, time and attendance, pay, and benefits management. The only aspects of the system we do not currently use is onboarding as ADP cannot integrate with who we have to use for background checks and analytics, however, that may be changing as those have become more robust and easy to use/see.
  • Top toolbar drop downs make finding what you are looking for relatively painless.
  • Learning Bytes tutorials about specific areas you are in are fantastic for new team members or refreshers for those who don't use the system very often.
  • The "Add to Favorites" feature for those frequently used items is a real time saver and lifesaver some days.
  • Too many "clicks" to get to where you want to go sometimes. Too far down in menus.
  • Unable to open something within a new tab even on the same page so you can compare items. I.E. Past year W-2 information to enter it into benefit earnings.
  • Unable to clear "purged" employees from our account. Need to use a specific filter for most reports so they are not included in the information.
  • ADP has made team member tracking more efficient as we have team members who transfer between locations frequently.
  • Pay data is relatively easy to input however the GLI system leaves something to be desired.
  • Tracking benefits usage has been helpful as a tool to provide team members with a view of what they are fully getting as a team member with us.
Our HR team has saved time, but I'm not sure how much. - While I'm sure our HR team has saved time during benefits open enrollment and benefits enrollment for new team members or qualifying events, during the rest of the year it's hard to determine how much time the system has saved us. Team member usage is spotty for us as an organization and we still receive many calls for assistance and end up walking them through the process on ADP.
To my knowledge, our team has only had a person come out to train our Payroll team one time and it was not as in-depth as they needed it to be. After the trainer left they still had to figure out how to use many of the G/L functions on their own. We have had great streaming training for various features as well the ADP conferences that come around.
While i'm not sure this a product for a very small company due to pricing, it has been able to grow with us for the past 5 years. I am also aware of it being used by other, much larger companies that are spread out across the country.
  • Reynolds & Reynolds
  • Microsoft Teams
-There are currently no known options to connect Reynolds & Reynolds with any other program.
-Microsoft Teams integration would most likely require a widget to be made so information could be shared without having to have another program open in the background.
-CDK was once owned by ADP but since they have separated, there seems to be no way to link to two back together to "talk" to one another and share information the way our organization is looking for.
We stayed with ADP because it was what we were familiar with and were out of time to make a change at this point in the year for implementation before the new year. ADP and Paycom were very similar and Paycom's only benefit at the time was it's ability to be used on ANY device where ADP is still lagging behind in that.
If you are a larger company with a large contract, ADP will bend over backwards to assist you with whatever you need and make sure you are a happy customer, however, if you are a smaller company ADP will seemingly forget you exist and barely support you. You may find some ADP team members who will buck that trend but ADP on the whole will not support you the same way they will the bigger companies.

Using ADP Workforce Now

2000 - All of our team members use ADP in some capacity. All of their benefits selections must be made through ADP, their pay information is there for them, their schedule, etc. Our managers use the platform for Time and Attendance, reviews, employee document uploads. Our HR department uses ADP for everything from new hire setups, payroll, benefits setup, to terminations and tax information for previous team members.
7 - An understanding of the software, flexibility in the limitations of the software, eagerness to learn about changes as they happen and adapt. Someone who is able to communicate well the the ADP reps and not let a frustration impede assistance efforts. A person who is very comfortable using a PC or mobile device/tablet to interact with the software.

At this time we are not looking into other HRIS options so we will be staying with ADP until we receive notice that a new option is needed either due to cost or functionality.

Have the upper management team that does not use the products very often, sit in on training to use this product and during the various sales pitches of the competitors so they are able to see the differences between the products instead of just the cost at the end.
