Data & Knowledgement teams use it to gain retail insight on companies in terms of size, industry or Revenue which can be very impactful in gaining an edge on research projects

Yes it helps. Could be more helpful if smaller companies under 50m were accurate.
WE use a sperate service for commercial contact information but HQ information is very helpful
Crunchbase offers a similar product but is more tailored for start ups and small business. Even then it does not have the complexity that Hoovers offers.

Using D&B Hoovers

30 - They represent Recruiting, Research, HR Operations and Administration. This allows us to generate a company target list which can then be used for research needs. Either to find out more about a company or group or to generate candidates to that way we can furfill our hiring needs. It is a very effective tool in the kit.
6 - HR Operations, Research, Recruiting, Candidate and Target List generation. They need companies and candidates that match at those companies so they can reach out for hiring needs. This allows us to quickly build a candidate list so we can be effective at recruiting. Without it then it would be alot more time consuming and cumbersome to generate this list.

Very effective tool and has a robust database of companies public or private

Evaluating D&B Hoovers and Competitors

Yes - It replaced manual target list creation and general internet searching for size and revenue. This Product allows us to see all that in one screen without any cumbersome searching or AI scaping.

Its complexity is very helpful in getting very granular targeted searches. This allows you to filter, sort or add based on certain parameters such as size, public/private, revenue, headcount and many more. This cannot all be found in one product anywhere else
I would look for similar programs. However the issues were that no one program would give us what we needed. This put it all together and the only thing it is currently missing is some additonal salaries that could be displayed as a range for certain job functions.

The integreation was very smooth overall aside from the usual few people who needed additional attention due to lack of computer skills

They helped me out in 2023 when trying to understand some of the functions they provide on company search.

Using D&B Hoovers

Its very helpful but can also be daunting for new users. This is a hard fix to but maybe some additional blurbs or help screen pop ups within pages can help new users navigate more quickly. This should definitely only be done but not at the cost of losing functionality that Hoovers is above the rest in.

D&B Hoovers Reliability

That is very true and using the product shows its power and capabilities.
They are always around whenver i need to troubleshoot.
No performance issues aside from usual chrome slowness that is not a result of Hoovers
