Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite

I utilize Hootsuite to post social media graphics across ten channels. Some channels are public facing, and some are internal Facebook groups. This software helps to save me time, as some weeks we have over 100 posts scheduled across the channels. We have three different audiences - client, potential business partner, and current business associates, so I enjoy the feature that I can change the copy based on the channel I am posting to right in the same scheduling window.

Overall Hootsuite works very well for my needs. It makes posting on multiple channels convenient for me as a single person marketing team. I would not be able to post all of the content I do without a social scheduler. Hootsuite leaves more time for the other parts of my role including content ideation.
We are a one person marketing team. Hootsuite allows me to post consistent content across all of our channels, all at once. No matter where our audience looks for us, we can be there. By scheduling we have also freed up more time to create video content, IG stories, and respond back to user engagement.
Hootsuite has a few less features than Sprout Social; however, the price point is much more favorable for a small business to utilize.

Hootsuite is well suited for businesses who post across multiple platforms and need to adjust their copy messaging in each channels. Hootsuite would be less appropriate for small businesses that are only posting to one or two accounts and keeping the copy the same. I do not feel the price of the software is worth the return for this type of client.

Hootsuite ROI and Support

It was very easy to connect our social accounts to Hootsuite. I felt like we could get started right away. And this was very convenient when convincing my office to invest in the platform.
We have a lot of different social channels that have to cater to very different audiences. By scheduling and being able to adjust the copy according to the channel, I am able to control the messaging depending on the audience very easily, which is very helpful to this team of one.
We don't use it much for social customer service. Saved replies are used occasionally and make it easier for me not to have to repeatedly type out messages, but otherwise we don't really utilize these features.
It was very easy to sign up and make an account. I am glad I did not have to jump through any hoops to get everything up and running.

Hootsuite Support

Sometimes it is very difficult to get a hold of Hootsuite support. I have had a few good experiences, but at other times I sat in the chat bot for several hours with no technical assistance. When I sent an email, it took multiple days to response. Luckily I don't have to use support often.

Slow Initial Response
No, I did not purchase premium support unless it was already included within our business plan pricing. We are a very small business and we don't have the budget to pay for premium support on a product we already pay for - that seems ridiculous.
Hootsuite support has been satisfactory, but not exceptional.
