Mixpanel uses MTU (Monthly Tracked User) pricing, which is designed to scale with your company. MTUs are roughly equivalent to the number of unique visitors on your product and each user is counted once per month, even if they use multiple devices. If Events based pricing makes more sense for your business, reach out to us and we can work with you!
Cannot compare, really. Salesforce Agentforce Marketing (or Salesforce Marketing Cloud as it was known for a long time) is stuck in the 2000s. Yes, they may have added a few features, but it's simply not fit for purpose for a CRM function that wants to do proper CRM and build a …
Iterable couldn't get their costs to match Braze, despite expressing serious confidence that they would. Mailchimp has nowhere near the level of automation or targeting complexity.
Braze has its own strengths and weaknesses compared to Bloomreach and Hubspot. Personally I prefer Bloomreach for lifecycle journey and orchestration however I've felt integration and scaling to be more straightforward with Braze. Other platforms have been reviewed but for …
I am not a CRM, mobile-CRM, or lifecycle marketing technology expert.
Braze is distinct from the other tools I have used due to the SDK integration and feature set specifically suited for mobile app product-led companies like mine.
Braze offers stronger tutorials and more flexible personalization and targeting options compared to other platforms I’ve used. While other tools included some of the same features, they were harder to learn because of limited tutorials or confusing UX/UI. Many of them also used …
Over time, I realize that I need a platform that gives me the benefit of each platform all in one without having to switch for each benefit and that's why I went with Braze.
Braze is a cross-channel and data-driven tool. It is much more intuitive and easier to use. It supports a high volume of sending. Braze team provides excellent follow-up and support, and we are part of a large community of clients who share knowledge and help.
Braze is just the best one when it comes to aesthetics and usability, which matter when you're working every day, making complex or even simple changes to highly contextual campaigns for multiple stakeholders. Even without following tutorials, you just get it instantly and …
Braze offers increased automation and data integration with better customer support and management than the likes of Saleforce. The features available in Braze far outreach that of Twilio SendGrid, which we used as a basic email comms platform rather than full CEP. eInsight CRM …
I actually really liked Iterable, but was forced internally to switch platforms due to its inability to handle our volume and its rising costs. Iterable was much easier to use out of the box, and I preferred much of its UI, but ultimately, our business outgrew it. We spent 9 …
We have a worldwide userbase, and the fact that Braze has teams all over the world made us feel reassured that we can tap into their expertise if needed.
Braze definitely requires some extra knowledge about automation and data. It is less intuitive and less user-friendly than Klaviyo, but it is potentially more versatile.
Datanomix is an excellent tool, with similar characteristics; however, Mixpanel has been our preference for two main reasons: one, to have customization and to be able to adapt the interface and tools to our use, and two, to be able to count on reports that it automates the …
Mixpanel is critical for measuring customer and consumer actions through behavioral messaging by allowing notifications to be sent based on their actions; can be deployed on all major platforms, including mobile; facilitates interactive reports to answer questions about …
Google Analytics also has a free option and can be utilized in parallel or as a stand-alone system, it will provide most of the features that are required. but lacks live data tracking so Mixpanel is that alternative that anyone can look for. particularly if your project is …
Mixpanel is a more tailored solution focused on customers and products. Google Analytics behaves more like a generic tool and may require a bit of effort to set up with best practices and actionable data. Mixpanel has a more likable user interface, compared to GA, which can be …
Mixpanel is much nicer to use and gives a better UX. However, it doesn't offer historical data that wasn't initially defined as to-be-collected, integration with Salesforce, and requires developers to make changes to the code in order to be able to query for some insights. We …
It’s hard to compare Google Analytics to Mixpanel because Google Analytics doesn’t measure app data, however Google Analytics has a much easier to use platform in my opinion. Google Analytics does not give you as much user data as Mixpanel does though. Mixpanel is definitely …
Mixpanel was fairly simpler to set up and the pricing metrics were easier for us to keep track of. Besides that, Mixpanel integrated with many of the other products we were using which made it simpler for us to keep all our data integrated and easy to keep track of. Mixpanel's …
Mixpanel is way more granular. We do use Google Analytics for top-level trends, but Mixpanel, when properly integrated, shows you the details. Even our marketing team is able to log events, etc. that they care about.
Mixpanel does what it does very well. We sometimes don't see it as the only tool in the arsenal. When combined with other solutions, we get a more complete picture. It also allows us to validate data across different tools.
While Heap isn't as simple as Mixpanel, its major …
Mixpanel has been my favorite tool I've used thus far because of how simple it is to use. While Google Analytics is quick to setup also, Mixpanel provides a lot more functionality. The reporting and visualization capabilities that are provided out-of-the-box make it a good tool …
Mixpanel is pretty up to date with many good and useful features. As I mentioned before, the Mixpanel platform provides a pretty good mobile analytics and when our marketing team was looking for the web and mobile analytics tool, detailed and accurate mobile analytics was one …
We use a few tools at the same time: Moz, Google Analytics and Mixpanel. But mostly we use Mixpanel simply because of the amount of data it provides and also because mobile analysis has more capabilities than Google Analytics' mobile analysis has. Moz and Google Analytics are …
Mixpanel has a free plan and looks more up to date than Kissmetrics. We use Google Analytics and Mixpanel together. We stopped use Kissmetrics simply because there is not enough time to use 3 analytics platform with so many features and capabilities.
We use Mixpanel together with Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics, comparing to both YM and GA I'd say Mixpanel has more convenient and featured e-commerce solution. Although, quality of data is better in Google Analytics and Yandez Metrica has plenty of features completely for …
Mixpanel has pretty powerful mobile users' behavior analytics when comparing to its competitors on a market. Also, Mixpanel offers a lot of capabilities for free, it has an up-to-date, user friendly interface, quick and very professional customer support, reports that you can …
We use Google Analytics as our primary website analytics platform and Mixpanel as an addition to Google Analytics. We have chosen Mixpanel over Tableau and Moz because Mixpanel offers pretty decent free version that has many features we needed. We are pretty satisfied with …
We also use Google Analytics to analyze our web and mobile app data. We noticed that although Google Analytics is a great tool with a lot of useful insights, Mixpanel gives us more data about our mobile users. So, I would say that Mixpanel does a better job on a mobile side.
Mixpanel got lots of praise from trusted colleagues. And they were right. It is powerful, affordable, and easy to use. It integrates with Segment which made it very easy for us to implement multiple metrics tools. It has great visuals and powerful
Pendo.io excels at creating guides. The editor experience is precisely what anyone working with a DAP tool desires – unobstructed and focused on a single screen. Pendo.io boasts AI features, and the customization options exceed expectations. When we became more familiar with …
Pendo.io is specifically for Product Management team keeping Product Managers persona in mind. In App guidance & NPS is a plus for Pendo.io. Opposite to User session based insights, Pendo.io gives overall insights keeping user at the center and allows easy segmentation of users.
Pendo.io was selected for us. I actually really like Intercom and think there are some things it does better but Pendo.io has better Analytics and User tracking, at least at the time when I tried Intercom.
Pendo has a lot more features than Gainsight, and a friendlier UI. Pendo is harder to use in my opinion - but this conception could just be lack of training. Gainsight is a good tool to measure an account's health by using green, yellow and red colors to identify accounts at …
Pendo.io does a better job with data but not as good on user onboarding and communication. Userpilot started out as an user onboarding and in app guidance that lately became also a user behavior analysis tool. It seems that Pendo.io did the inverse way, it started with the …
Pendo.io is better at tracking than Google Analytics, and Adobe Analytics takes a lot of setup to get similar coverage. Pendo.io works so well straight out of the box. Also, the historical data that can be accessed once creating a new feature is incredible.
Pendo.io has far more options for customizations needed to provide everything we need (which is specific) for our overall end goals. Pendo.io also provides two of the items I need versus one.
Pendo.io had the full suite of solutions for product management, customer success and UX. The other solutions seemed to be good solutions but Pendo solved a lot more range of proplems for our teams. Pricing was all about the same as well so it didn't really factor into the …
I have just very superficial experience with Google Analytics but I do believe that Pendo.io is a much much better tool in pretty much all aspects of it. It has a ton more features and capabilities and even for the capabilities where there is overlap, Pendo seems to come out …
At the time of evaluation, Pendo.io stood out as an exceptional digital adoption solution. We couldn't find another solution that had the mix of analytics and in-app guidance that worked for our needs. We're so glad we selected Pendo and look forward to continuing our …
Pendo.io seems to be more commonly known and already integrated with other parts of our business, so that's why we've stuck with them as a vendor. It often takes a good chunk of work to set up product analytics tools, so there is a reason of current stickiness with the tool if …
Pendo.io has better brand value, brand recall, brand recognition and better trust factor compared to its competitors. Also, the leadership as well as product team has hands-on previous relevant experience using this tool which helped us make the decision. The customer support …
I have used both Google analytics and Pendo in the past. Basic functionality in terms of usage monitoring is similar. Because it requires enterprise licenses, so the decision comes from leadership instead of product managers like me, I don't have a strong preference. But Pendo …
Pendo.io doesn't try to fit every possible product management feature inside the application, rather it focuses on the user experience and analytics part. And they do that beautifully. Because they are focused on their strength so they are best in that, also their pricing is …
The organization of Pendo.io makes it much easier to use. We can also get more granular with our request to really dig down into what the root of the issue is and why we are being asked to improve something. We also have been able to better broadcast our wins internally and …
It is night and day how simple Pendo.io is to setup and configure. You don't need to be a data scientist or engineer - the UI makes it incredibly easy. The competitors have a high barrier to entry to get started with simple tracking and reporting, which has been a massive …
Its really well suited to brands with a mobile app. And from what I can glean from the features my org isn't able to take advantage of, its best suited for: - B2C brands that use social media - ecommerce (i.e. CPG) Otherwise, I am not convinced it is the tool I would recommend for users that do not have a mobile app. You're not getting most of the value from it.
Mixpanel is a versatile platform that integrates features to connect every work team and get the best out of them in productivity and results. Moreover, it will improve the flow of information and interaction between all your company staff; it will unify and help promote collaboration between the different work areas. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this software
Pendo.io is very well suited for organizations, who want to quickly connect with Customers without even directly talking to them. Pendo.io allows in-app guides and documentation to help organizations connect with their customers and guide them in their product. The feature tracking capability is the best to understand the page/feature usage also by segment to categorize and understand user behavior. Replays are somewhat helpful but still can have improvements. Less appropriate where the customer base is less.
Mixpanel's ease of use is easily their best feature, allowing you to quickly create graphs with a few point and clicks. Their UI is also fairly snappy and well-designed.
Tying together events with user attributes allows you to properly segment users into cohorts which can then be tracked individually. Proper segmentation is where most analytics solutions earn their keep.
Live view is a nice perk that gives you a good feel for who's on your site and what they're doing at any single point in time. This can be further filtered to focus on particular events of interest.
Mixpanel has flexible plans that work for smaller startups as well.
Enabling GIF/videos to be directly uploaded on to Braze's platform
Easier way of creating canvases; right now it is too complex for someone new who is starting off in the company to understand what things do and where things are
Ability to track duplicate user profiles within the entire audience segment
Automated deduplicating email addresses/phone numbers in each targeting segment; right now it's done manually after extracting csv files
I didn't use the engagement features at all but it seems like they could have a better WYSIWYG editor for the emails for non-technical people using Mixpanel.
The custom reports feature seems to be really powerful but I wish they had more resources/templates for creating custom reports. I don't code so it was really hard for me to use this feature...BUT the reports I was able to get help with, were really powerful.
I wanted a dashboard area for all of my reports in one view. It seems like they were implementing this when I was moving jobs. If it's not available yet, they definitely need to add a master dashboard page for arranging saved reports.
The guide builder UI could be a bit more user-friendly; it's hard to remember where the different options are at first and takes some practice.
Interpreting user paths visually can be tricky at times, especially when trying to understand where drop-offs or blockers occur.
More granular user permissions so that I don't need to grant full admin rights to a user if I want to let them edit translations on a guide, for example.
We are on a mission for an omnichannel experience for our customers and are already making good progress with Braze able to fully support and optimise this
It's not an all encompassing solution like Google Analytics tries to be, but MixPanel offers much easier to use and understandable data insights. That's valuable when juggling many responsibilities as startup life demands, so a renewal would be easily justified.
We have had an excellent experience with Pendo. When we've had questions or concerns, Pendo is very quick to respond and communicate with us. We have experienced top-notch customer support and customer engagement. We have actually modeled some of our implementation and product processes after Pendo's examples.
It is an easy-to-understand platform, thanks to its design and accessibility. You can, for example, easily find any users and their data, check exact volumes of segments, follow the history of messages sent, and create reports. We can connect Braze with other platforms for analysis or email design (Snowflake, Hightouch, Stripo...).
Relativity easy to use. Once you get the hang of it, very easy to create dashboards for different use cases. I split my dashboards between customers or use cases
It is intuitive for core tasks like tracking feature usage, building Guides, and viewing dashboards. The interface is clean and well structured, making it easy for product managers and operational teams to get value quickly without heavy technical support. However, there is a noticeable learning curve when setting up advanced custom events, reports, or integrations, which can take some time and internal knowledge-sharing to master.
Every time I have logged into Pendo, the service has been available for me to use. The page has never been down when I am trying to get info from there.
Very responsive and helpful on simple questions, but not great other than that. They do not have a way for the customer/user to escalate a ticket. You have to contact your rep and in some cases, they don't respond within 24 hours so you have no idea if they have escalated it. There is no phone number for an urgent issue - you have to rely on email
There is no support at all for free-plan users. There used to be a good support but something changed. If everything had gone great we could've considered upgrading but it is so bad that we'll look for an alternative once we finish the current project. Given that the documentation is very poor, there are some aspects in which customer support could have helped a lot, but with no support, we are left with some needs unfulfilled.
They've been great anytime that we have needed help with something. They also have some really great help articles. We're able to figure most things out through their articles, but when we've had to call in they've been very helpful and we haven't had any problems. I'd highly recommend working with them.
It's really well explained, there are lots of documentation about all topics. When we want to perform in a specific area, there are always a dedicated path. For each new feature, there is always some videos explaining the purpose and the new functionalities. Also I used to do the certification which allows me to show my achievements in my business environment.
Mixpanel has a great resource about their product, with videos on how to use it and real world examples from other companies on how they integrate Mixpanel into their business processes.
The training schedule was well thought out and tailored to meet our needs. Chantelle stayed with us through the whole implementation and made sure that we were good to go.
Mixpanel is a simple JS script installation. For adding events to track, its simply a matter of adding the code where you want it. Their API and documentation are easy to understand and use.
Braze has its own strengths and weaknesses compared to Bloomreach and Hubspot. Personally I prefer Bloomreach for lifecycle journey and orchestration however I've felt integration and scaling to be more straightforward with Braze. Other platforms have been reviewed but for value for money at scale and quality of platform, Braze came out as the chosen one.
Datanomix is an excellent tool, with similar characteristics; however, Mixpanel has been our preference for two main reasons: one, to have customization and to be able to adapt the interface and tools to our use, and two, to be able to count on reports that it automates the work of sales analysis and being able to evaluate progress.
Pendo.io excels at creating guides. The editor experience is precisely what anyone working with a DAP tool desires – unobstructed and focused on a single screen. Pendo.io boasts AI features, and the customization options exceed expectations. When we became more familiar with the product, we questioned why we hadn't considered it sooner. Pendo.io has simplified analytics, making them as straightforward as bread and butter. The number of widgets available for data representation in the dashboard is astounding. Furthermore, Pendo.io offers a wealth of features, including feature tagging, webpage tagging, Pendo Listen, NPS surveys, a resource center, and more. I used WalkMe for three years and encountered challenges achieving the desired flow for customer onboarding, which sometimes proved difficult. In contrast, Pendo.io makes everything achievable thanks to its ability to incorporate custom code into guide creations.
User event data has helped us improve our product, which has increased subscriptions.
Being able to send helpful messages to some users who drop off after certain events has helped us reduce our churn.
We have been able to identify the Monthly super-active users, understand their usage of our product, which we use to conduct focus groups to help us shape the product.
