It is great for already hired employees. After you are already working with us to use the system is great for benefits, pay stubs, forms to fill out, time off requests. But prior to hire, we did not think the ATS system was ready for tracking applicants. There were many features such as bulk messaging applicants that were not available yet

Paycom has a highly usable software that is easy for the end user to navigate and use. In my limited time using Paycom, I have had a satisfying experience and have no qualms with the services provided. I would recommend Paycom to other companies as a solid choice for HR and payroll related services.

  • Paycom is all [I] need to manage the talent. I can easily view a particular employee's progress through its working hours and so I easily promote the employee to the senior position and in case of any vacancy, I can publish the hiring note prior [to] the timings.
  • I can easily manage the workforce through talent acquisition and carry out all the activities associated with human resources management quite easily.
  • To manage the payroll is quite simple as it processes the receipts and the paychecks directly from the banks. Also, it gives me detailed reporting about particular employee’s data and offers an easy association with accounting software, thus I have got rid of manual maintenance of the data.

  • We process payroll with different pay period end dates, but the same pay date. Currently, Paycom does not have the ability to do that as one payroll. They have to be split and processed separately.
  • We would like to see more ability to view as an employee so when creating things we know beforehand exactly what our employees will be seeing and how they will use features.
  • We would like to see better customization of some reports in Paycom, specifically their worker's comp reports.

I think it's very usable for the employee. I don't think it is as easy for the HR/PR admins - especially if there is an issue. There are so many setup screens that need to be looked at to try to figure out why payroll isn't calculating properly, hours aren't feeding over correctly, or benefits are not calculating properly. For the most part, they can't do their own troubleshooting. The same is true for the managers. Our managers find it cumbersome to go into make any schedule changes after the schedules have been generated.

Most of the time the support is great; it's not always super efficient but I always get the help I need. Occasionally it takes a lot longer than we had hoped or get conflicting responses. We had one ticket recently where we were told we would have to pay the service team to support us on the project and then another person called the next day with the solution to our query and was able to find a solution easily. Generally, though, the response is great and they either walk me though how to do something via a Zoom Meeting or they email step-by-step instructions on how to do it and say if I have questions we can set up a meeting to discuss further.

Not at all satisfied it was a nightmare we spent over 8 months with the implementation team having issues after issues all related to the Puerto Rico regulations (half my employees are in Puerto Rico) and at the end we were moved over from the implementation team to the production team without all the issues being resolved

It is really nice to have all the various modules available under a single application. This has allowed our organization to rollout to all of our employees and streamline process throughout all levels of employees. We continue to tweak/customize our options knowing that DF is robust application that is continually working on a better experience for the customer.

Paycom

Paycom is the most expensive system I have used, but again you get what you pay for. All the other payroll companies the different pieces did not talk to each other. I have run reports in a company to then import back into the same company because the benefit side did not talk to the employee side or the other pieces. The implementation specialist at Paycom were amazing, I don't think they ever slept. It wasn't quick and simple but it was very complete. You get out of a payroll company what you put into it and they knew what was needed every step of the way.

Overall, we are extremely happy with the Dayforce WFM module. Our biggest pain point is concerning the twice annual software upgrades - which is the only reason I haven't rated them as a '10'. Because every customer is configured differently, the upgrades can sometimes have adverse effects on our current configured policies/rules. And although they roll-out the upgraded version in a test environment several weeks before go-live, not all testing is accurate in that environment. Some issues do not present themselves until you are working with live punches.

  • There's no paper handling for employee's PTO requests, manager approvals, etc. This is a huge time-saving and hassle-saving aspect of the system.
  • Employees no longer print out their paychecks - it's all on the app. And we pay less for mailing checks all over the place.
  • Employees enroll in their benefits now, which was also a huge time, paper, and cost saving!
  • Employees attest that they received all of their meals and rests via the biometric clocks, so paper doesn't have to be kept - the system tracks that info now.
