Network for Good
Well suited for project based and/or organizational wide donation management. I like that a donor can easily find options for what they'd like to donate to, and we have the opportunity to clearly show donors what their donation impact will be

OneCause
Based on my experience, OneCause is well suited for scenarios where an organization does not have a large existing database of donors and wants to get started with fundraising and engaging donors. The scenario where growing from the bottom up is better suited than expanding an already existing set of tools and existing member and donor database.

Network for Good
- It is very simple to enter donations and donor information into the Network for Good system.
- We needed a way to track "soft credits" in our donor management system, and once we discussed this with the Network for Good staff, they updated the system to allow us to track "soft credits," and the process of tracking them is very simple.
- If we have a question on how to use anything in the system, there are many how-to guides and videos that are easy to find. If the guides or videos do not help, the staff are available very quickly to help us troubleshoot our problem.

- OneCause keeps you organized and on top of details big and small. The checklist feature is hugely helpful and having an individual working on your event with you to point out things you may have missed or not realized you needed is a huge benefit.
- The accounting post-event is sorted in a variety of ways making it easy to find [the] info you're looking for like breaking down specific donor traits.
- Including ways to market and communicate for the event is vital for success. You can preschedule and customize messages to specific groups right in the platform so it's tracked and event-specific. I love the functionality and ease that provides!

Cons
Network for Good
- When creating a campaign page - it looks strange with then start/end dates/times shown if campaign runs for more than 1 day
- NFG should be able to download more than jpeg documents
- There is no way of changing the delivery time

- more integrations- less manual work
- easier user interface- sometimes very clunky and hard to navigate through

We are still learning and rebuilding our nonprofit using this platform, so this year is a trial run to see how we can increase our network and our donations. So long as we are able to see a significant return on investment in terms of donations received through the platform, we will renew for next year.

It is ultimately not my call, and we are switching Donor CRMs/fundraising platforms so not sure what that will mean for OneCause.

As an IT professional, I picked it up very quickly, but when showing the tool to colleagues, some of the terminologies is a little confusing as I believe it's intended to be broad enough to cover everything but it's almost too broad to where there is some confusion. For example, they use the term "supporters" which encapsulates everything from attendees to companies to people who have donated an item(s) for the auction or raffle to volunteers, etc. They also refer to the attendees as "bidders" even if there is no auction at your event. Also, their reporting catalog is incredibly confusing - I wish there was an option just to create your own report depending on your needs.

As I stated before, their customer service team is incredible. They are quick to respond and help answer any questions. They also send videos to walk you through your issue, so you can see exactly how to fix it and can look back at any time.

I don't know if my insights are key but I can say that implementation was done in-house without any outside support for the solution. The staff influencing the solution had very little technical expertise and ability as well which showed just how easily the software was to implement.

We are a small nonprofit. QuickBooks was a great tool for us to be able to communicate to our accountant, but that is where it stopped. NFG takes our QuickBooks information and turns it into valuable reports, analytics, thank you’s, and professional appearance. It gives our nonprofit a platform to communicate efficiently and accurately with our donors.

Ultimately, OneCause was the only system that we looked at that was able to combine event registration and ticketing, silent auction bidding and alerts, and a seamless checkout experience in one platform. We were unable to find another platform that did all of this under one roof, however, we are realizing that the software may be a "jack of all trades, master of none" scenario, and we may be better suited in looking at separate platforms that specialize in their area of expertise.

- NFG was a major part of our growth during the Covid-19 pandemic. We switched to NFG March of 2020 and it was the main tool we had to stay connected to our donors and community. We were able to share our "story" with the video component and the easy drop down email acknowledgements. The templates empowered our staff to try new ways of communicating.
- We produced a virtual group walking challenge from Nov 2020 - March 2021 and with NFG's help, we had easy outreach that inspired groups of otherwise isolated people to create teams together logging miles and sharing pictures and becoming community that was new and important. It was so easy to sign-up via NFG and it built a list of guests for this event and that list has become way more involved in our Center than ever before. It transformed relationships with clicks of a button in NFG.
- Moving through 2021, it has proven more challenging than 2020. What was new is now old but NFG is a resource for innovation and new approaches that has become tremendously valuable to our organization. The creativity coming out of NFG matched with the business acumen is powerful and helps my small organization greatly. We are really small, but with NFG it feels like we have a team behind every initiative.

- I am able to reach many more donors via our online auction than at an in-person event.
- Closing out an auction and collecting payment is infinitely easier than running an auction on paper.
- Guests enter all their own information including credit cards making it very easy to manage the event as a single event director.
