AD Audit Plus the software you need to do good auditing of your AD.
This feature is not being used to its full potential in our environment since users often need to be logged in for a long time. This monitor allowed us to find users who constantly forgot to log off the Windows session even if they were asked to.

Review of ManageEngine ADAudit Plus
We used ManageEngine ADAudit Plus to determine the cause when a large number of users reporting accounts being locked out. We did an analysis of the ManageEngine ADAudit Plus logon logs and it was determined that users were the victims of password spray attacks. With this information we were able to build defenses against these password attacks.

ManageEngine ADAudit Plus Is an Excellent and Must Have Solution!
The solutions capabilities in this area are more major winners for our institution. Being able to monitor user information like behavior, length of sessions and changes made (just to name a few) have already assisted our our Compliance, Auditing and Security teams in a handful of internal investigations and the solution has provided hard data to close cases in just about all the investigations.

This has been very helpful in monitor user behavior/access attempts by IT technicians and users with local administrator rights. It has been helpful in identifying users having issues logging in or possible expired passwords.

ManageEngine -- Gets the job done!
Again, not really something we focus on. We have better measures than session length, login and logout times and file activity to evaluate users. Once or twice we have used the data as quantification for other employee actions.
We have not leveraged the user behavior analytics portions of the product, so I cannot speak to this.

This visibility is exceptional it give you the data that might see far fetched in just a few clicks away and also providing you with a report to be downloaded in various formats. Companies are at a better position when you have full visibility reaching larger audiences in shorter spaces of time, this increases better performance overall.

AdAudit tracks events on your network in real time.
The length of sessions isn't that much help; many of the users leave their computers on overnight. Sessions renew through all hours of the night. However, knowing when a new OU has been created or deleted has been extremely helpful!
We could see most locked out accounts and link up with those users for more training. Users who were logged into pcs for days , we could get logged out. Auditing within IT has been helpful too to see who's done what with accounts.

We are able to see whos been accessing resources, how much they're being utilized. Cleaning up our environment has always been an issue. What's in use? what's not. This has helped expedite the process.

ADAudit Plus has provided alerting and insight to intrusion and malicious activity during penetration testing. We have been able to quickly detect and thwart unwanted activity by utilizing this platform. ADAudit Plus also provides excellent change reporting so you can easily determine who make what changes and when.
We have been able to set a baseline and watch trending over time to detect odd behavior and intervene when necessary. This often includes behavior that isn't odd in itself, but in the grand scheme of things can simply look "out of place" in comparison to the typical day to day of a user or endpoint.
