Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We Use ADAudit Plus to audit our AD on-prem and see who did what on accounts. This also allows us to track login attempts from an external source. We also use this platform to help manage stale accounts and accounts with too much privilege. We are also able to see what server users and admins are logging in.

ManageEngine ADAudit Plus provides an in depth look at changes made across every aspect of your Active Directory. How has being able to track changes in your Active Directory impacted your organization?

The ability to track changes allowed us to discover rogue connections to servers and rights given to users that give too many rights to our environment. It also allowed us to validate if users' accounts were being onboarded or offboarded in an adequate amount of time. It also helps us to see accounts that were forgotten.

This feature is not being used to its full potential in our environment since users often need to be logged in for a long time. This monitor allowed us to find users who constantly forgot to log off the Windows session even if they were asked to.

CrowdStrike Falcon and Microsoft 365 Business Premium

For AD auditing management, an AD audit is one of the top tools on the market. I have not found anything lacking or missing in either the reports or the platform.

We detected that a person was logged into a server with his regular credentials when he should not have been able to since only admin accounts are allowed to do so. We saw a user getting locked accounts all the time, logging into a server, and then logging out. After he changed his password twice, the account locked out due to the login.
