Overall Satisfaction with ManageEngine ADAudit Plus
We have been a ManageEngine ADAudit Plus customer for over eight years and have used it to monitor protected Active Directory groups. The groups that we primarily monitor are groups that have elevated privileges within Active Directory, such as Domain Admins, Domain Operators, and groups that have privileges to reset passwords. If a member is removed or added to one of these groups ManageEngine ADAudit Plus will generate an email alert that goes out to system admins.

We are a health care organization so with direct patient care it is vital we maintain system uptime. With ManageEngine ADAudit Plus we are able to be notified quickly as to any Group Policy changes that may have an impact on Active Directory operations. If we suspect a GPO change may have impacted system uptime, we are able to look at the audit trail of GPO changes to determine any impact that may have occurred.
We used ManageEngine ADAudit Plus to determine the cause when a large number of users reporting accounts being locked out. We did an analysis of the ManageEngine ADAudit Plus logon logs and it was determined that users were the victims of password spray attacks. With this information we were able to build defenses against these password attacks.
We have better logging and alerting capabilities that are provided by ManageEngine ADAudit Plus.
Yes, it has. It is much easier to see what ManageEngine ADAudit Plus has captured that to search through Windows event logs.
We were using the Snare client that was only capable of forwarding logs to some type of syslog server. To be able to get meaning full reports or alerts from that system it would all need to be customized. This would require that you had the expertise on staff to set up these alerts and custom reports. ManageEngine ADAudit Plus does all this for you already to use.
