Qlik Sense is a data analytics and data visualization tool, so we need to provide dashboards to the client where they can do the analysis and can understand the market situation and take the decision as per the data. So we have provided them market related dashboard and it helps them a lot. But [when] it comes to big data, Qlik Sense is not the tool to use. So if the data is in table form it is highly recommended to use Qlik Sense, otherwise use other tools.

Within the University of Miami healthcare system (UHealth), we wanted to see a high level view of our contracting performance. We are currently are utilizing multiple systems of truth. We utilize the Advisory Board's PIC (Payment Integrity Compass) system to model all of our hospital contracts. For professional services, we use Experian's modeling tool. We wanted to consolidate all of these different inputs of expected payment values into one view or report. There is a need to compare expected contractual values with actual over time. It helps our team get better at predicting the future if we continue to monitor and follow. Our hope was that actual values would materialize from our expected values.

In our own wheel house, we were able to identify easy things where a contract was loaded incorrectly. We also began to see how our processes and other team's processes were negatively affecting the bottom line. We were able to provide tips to other teams to help improve their processes.

Qlik sense is suited to organizations with full buy-in so that insights and reporting can be shared with those who need it. It is less suited as a business intelligence tool for a small number of users who thereafter can't share their insights without exporting it to some other format or means of sharing.

Good for widget development and especially relevant now that my employer is moving more of its I.T. infrastructure to the cloud. We are also encouraging self-service B.I. whenever / wherever possible.

Good: Source data is clean and well prepared. Can easily and quickly build front-end visualisations to inform end users.
Good: Desktop/large-screen users.

Bad: Source data is not as clean. Is possible, although not so easy, to clean/transform source data (using the data load editor); so data is easily consumed by the front-end visualisations.
Bad: Small-screen/laptop/handheld-device users.
Bad: The security rules (restricting who can see what) are not intuitive - difficult to set up.

It's very well suited for our control of production. Every line logs the quantities produced and we can monitor day-to-day the quality of the production, the quantities, and see if we will be able to respond.

It's also very nice to have been able to automate every monthly report for management. They are no longer made by assistants.

It’s well suited for presenting past performances and it’s less suited for forecasting. It’s better for operational figures and less for financial figures. For that use the presentation possibilities are too little. The functionality for Qliking to detail information is marvelous as well as the functionality of filters, measures and dimensions.

Once up and running it is a great tool to follow our sales. I would appreciate it more if there would have been ready reports to choose from, instead, we have to build everything from the ground.

It is suitable for product analysis and we can get one glance view of statistics and see which products are the most popular. We also used it to check the user's accounts and see if their product licenses are assigned correctly, and use the numbers to bill our users for the subscriptions.

Qlik Sense is suited for self-service analysis. Currently, we are using Qlik Sense for Manufacturing, HR, IT, Finance, Supply Chain. Most apps are for a specific use and used within a department and not company wide. We do not have external apps. We have used Qlik Sense for very limited predictive analytics.

[Qlik Sense] is fantastic for quick data analyze when you want to check the numbers between all companies channels. Stock and sales.
it is also very good for making purchase decisions or to control your stock levels in general. The data is under your hands in seconds and all the information is very clear

Qlik Sense is very well suited for corporate level data as it enables the combination of virtually all data sources and Qlik unique QVD format allows to create virtual layers of data. A feedback I often get is that it is too complex for really simple situation where just a excel tool that are mainly focused on visualization only can surpass it on quickness of execution.

It's a very powerful tool for combining and analyzing data from various data sources. The user interface is modern, fast and allow end user to explore for hidden insights. However, even if the development is fast, some features like user collaboration and write back capabilities requires third party extensions (seamlessly integrated into Qlik Sense so user experience is excellent but it does of course incur a little more complex setup and added costs).

Qlik is perfect to do data mining. Answer questions or brainstorming improvements in the company processes while playing with data. It is not appropriate for highly formatted Excel extractions to give outside the business.

Generally I would recommend using this for anyone who needs to do large data reporting or visualization. The learning curve for basic use is very low, and especially for end-users that experience is very good. The scenarios I wouldn't recommend it are if someone has a VERY specific vision for what they want and need really fine-level customization on their visualizations. In that case, I've definitely run into some limitations with getting EXACTLY the view I wanted.

Very easy to use for end-users, very nice visual representations, perfect for "build-it-your-own", really nice tool for interactive presentations. It is sometime dreadfully slow and awkward [as] it takes a while for the data to initially load. We have had issues with accessibility for users. We have tried to get the entire division access to the program, but due to financial constraints only a few users have access.

Qlik Sense is suited for those who would like to deep dive into the data and analyze the trend of data over years.
It may not be suitable for operational reports; most of the users are heavily depend on operation reports than dashboards.

It is perfect for structured data, to create a dashboard, and to get a simple insight into the relationship between dimensions. It is less appropriate for unstructured data, since you will need lots of work to clean/transform the data. It also won't replace R or Python to get more advanced insight using many statistics available in the algorithms.
