Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

We use TeamViewer in our department to manage hosts that are not in our internal network and that do not connect to our VPN. This is typically one off hosts that serve one unique purpose.
  • Easy, no frills solution for remote management
  • The client is light and is not processor intensive
  • I like that TeamViewer runs as a service
  • Too many additional non-essential features are being included with the client
  • "Computers & Contacts" section UI needs a refresh
  • Too many "add-on" services
  • Increased efficiency of managing/controlling remote hosts
  • Prior to deploying TeamViewer, we would need to physically send a person to troubleshoot; not that is no longer needed unless it is a hardware issue
  • Free personal use version is also a plus!
TeamViewer is better than RDS because of the way it handles the video. At the core, they are both remote control applications. However the method for implementation is quite different. RDS gives you 90% experience of physically being at the terminal but TeamViewer gives you the same experience as if you were sitting in front of the remote host.

Do you think TeamViewer delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with TeamViewer's feature set?

Yes

Did TeamViewer live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of TeamViewer go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy TeamViewer again?

Yes

As designed, it is pretty simple and easy to implement across our devices. This has led to an efficient deployment cycle and reduced the number of staff hours required to setup.
We have not taken advantage of these features, however we are interested in exploring the SSO option.
For enterprise management of 100+ hosts, [TeamViewer] is probably not the best solution. For us, this works for one off hosts that are not joined to our AD or located within our network. The plus is that the remote host runs TeamViewer as a service, so there is no interaction needed on the remote end.
