Ziflow is much faster. The Progress Updates on the dashboard actually work, and automatic status updates without refreshing the browser are a bonus. Ziflow operates more smoothly.
I only used Workfront for a short time before we switched to Ziflow. I know that pricing was a big thing and there were features that Ziflow had to offer that Workfront did not. One of those being the automated workflow process and being able to set templated workflows. I have …
Workfront is better in layout and legibility, but Ziflow is not far behind. In all other aspects, Ziflow wins by a landslide. Workfront also has additional features, like seeing what you have due today, this week, etc. Ziflow may want to consider it an option, although …
Ziflow is much more user-friendly and my clients/colleagues got to grips with it much easier and quicker. Also, I did get used to it much quicker. It is laid out much better and clearer. Things are in more logical places and had no issues so far. Workfront I was always having …
Workfront - Workfront asked for too much per user just to use their proofing tool. PageProof - User interface wasn't as good. GoProof - No side by side comparison, limited file type support.
We used Workfront prior to them being bought by Adobe, and Ziflow was much more up-to-date with the times. PHQ didn't have as many of the same features and always had issues. The customer service is also way better at Ziflow.
We previously used Workfront before switching to Ziflow. As far as I know, it was a money saver and the help team is way more personable at Ziflow. The stages and workflows are way more customizable and you can organize proofs way easier.
I find Ziflow to be an improvement from when our organization used Workfront proofing tool for the same type of projects. Workfront was fine for copy documents, but was not as conducive to visual/creative work such as videos, infographics, audio, web pages, emails, etc. I would …
ProofHQ would no longer allow us to use the proofing platform alone. It became mandatory to include and pay for their project management platform as well.
Ziflow is a far superior product because it doesn't require an app to work through, like Workfront ended up implementing. The attention to detail and supreme customer service also makes working with them a breeze!
Workfront enables us to manage all our projects effectively while providing a comprehensive overview of team resources. The Resource Planner helps the team identify their capacity to determine whether they are over- or under-allocated. This information is crucial for project planning and ensuring team members do not experience burnout.
We work with a lot of cross functional teams, so it is nice to have them review things on their own and provide feedback all in the one place for our team to review. It helps cut back on meetings and emails full of feedback that gets lost. This is especially helpful when we are working on our catalogs. We do reviews on Ziflow all the way from rough layouts to proofreading.
Simple and user friendly interface with little if no learning curve.
Accurate and specific change requests are especially enhanced when using the markup tools.
Nice to be able to assign who the decision maker is and also be able to change project participants easily, like when someone goes on holiday or sick leave.
SOCD (sent, opened, comment, decision) progress indicators provide an awesome 'at a glance' view of project participants activity.
Email notifications and integration with ASANA is brilliant.
Comments with instances that span multiple pages force you to zoom out, which can be rough on multi-page proofs. We end up making a comment on each instance for ease of review.
Maybe it is in there, but I would love to be able to upload a new version and review/make comments before any of the other reviewers can see it—to double-check for errors. Maybe there is a verification stage first before releasing it to the other reviewers.
All that I've said already is why. I suppose the clearest way to say it is that at this point? I cannot imagine running the 300+ active projects in eMarketing without AtTask; it simply wouldn't be possible and even more; I wouldn't imagine why we'd try to find an alternative tool when we have one meeting our needs.
Ziflow is easy to use, efficient and now is also part of our daily lives. Hence, the teams are already adapted to the tool and willing to work with it. The features are according to all what was expected and we had a great experience until the moment with the tool
Workfront is overly complex, but it is functional as a tool to keep track of projects. It is a shame that sometimes it takes a lot of clicks to find anything. Workfront is slowly modernizing its interface but at the same time, hides certain information away thus making the experience feels worse.
The tool is easy to use for digital oriented people. For the ones not used to this kind of environment, it could look a bit complicated at the beginning, but following the instructions and tutorials and performing it once makes you get a grip of it in just one use.
Maintenance is required, but usually after work hours, Some days the proofing tool function is not operational, but this is a new function of the tool that WF is working out. the kinks on. Chrome is the best browser to use the system in and we find Firefox and Explorer lose some view functionality - Gantt Chart, Resource Grid
Workfront's performance has been very good. Everything always feels very fast and snappy in my experience. We have integrated it with custom scripts to create folder structure for media managing our projects. It works very well.
I know that this particular company has it's own Adobe Workfront employee that builds out things they need from the software, and meets with them regularly to troubleshoot. I'm not part of this process, but it's refreshing to see Adobe provide this level of customer service to people, and they're expedient.
The ZIflow support team has always been very responsive to my questions, issues and other problems. The good thing is I have never had to use their support team all that much because Ziflow has been for the most part trouble free. If it had been error prone, we would have dropped it long ago.
The training is very easy to use and you can simply choose the topics included in the course(s) that are most important to your training needs. After each training course, you are tested on what you have learned. If you need a refresher course, they provide Course Catalogs as well as instructor-led courses & workshops.
Most people learn as you go, a lot of this stuff requires trial and error throughout so my suggestion is to provide as much information in the upfront and keep it as simple as possible. You can add other tools and features as you go but everyone should have the basics down so no bad habits can start to develop. Be persistent with everyone, and don't be afraid to correct and talk through steps again so everyone is on the same page
It's been a while since I've used another time and resource management platform, but I would say that Adobe Workfront takes the cake. Its newly refreshed user interface is simple to navigate, whereas other platforms can be quite confusing when "drilling down" on a project. Also, Adobe Workfront has features that I have not seen in other platforms, including collaboration capabilities and the ability to upload a document as proof so it can be reviewed for grammar, consistency, formatting, etc., before being presented or sent to a client.
I found Ziflow to be much better than PageProof in several ways. The tools available for making comments and edits are more intuitive and there is a greater variety of tools and the version control features worked much better as well. Also their customer service was far better when it was necessary to interact with the company
As I stated earlier, I didn't have to pay for Workfront myself- I'm a user under a large organization. I know it's not cheap to implement, I don't know how the price scales for a small-business, but I do like the product enough that I'm going to look into it in the future for my own company.
We have been using Workfront for about 3 years. During this time they continue to be a very stable project management system. Workfront's overall scalability is able to handle increased loads of work. When using Workfront for a project management tool for the web team, we store documents, images & video's without any issues. They work with their customer's to provide the best project management system in the market today! I highly recommend Workfront for all project management needs. Workfront strives to deliver unique technology solutions to growing companies!
