Aha!
It is great for organizations that want to ensure that the work they focus on is the work that will have the most impact on value and drive them toward their strategic objectives. I consider it to be a real Product Management tool. If all you are looking for is a tool to hold your product backlog or collect customer feedback, then Aha! is probably going to be overkill for your needs

Airtable
Airtable is an ideal platform for small and growing businesses to keep track of just about EVERYTHING they need to keep things running smoothly. It's a great way to keep tasks organized, and keep everyone on the same page with progress on all things. Our company finds the kanban particularly useful, as products go through a lifecycle from ideation to retirement, it's good to keep a database of what is in production, what's working, and what we've tried before. I can see the platform being challenging with much larger businesses, but for the small to medium businesses I've used the platform with, it is ideal.

Wrike
I think that Wrike is customizable enough to fit most needs, so I would generally recommend it as a starting point to anyone that is looking for a project management tool. Some people on my team don't like it, but I think that is moreso due to lack of exposure than any flaws in the tool itself. I predominately taught myself many of the features, and I found it to be straightforward. There is lots of great documentation out there, plus the community forums are incredible helpful as well. Wrike might not be THE perfect tool for every single need, but I think that there would be very few situations where it would ultimately be incompatible with a team's workflow needs.

Pros
Aha!
  • Aha! is an all around product management suite. It is great for breaking product plans into initiatives, features, and user stories. This helps the organization understand the product plan and what is driving individual work items. Unlike Jira and project management tools, it helps you prioritize by major themes, features, and releases. Once you start to use it, you can't go back to a project management tool because the views for organizing and prioritizing features just isn't there.
  • Aha! also excels at idea management. You can create a portal for users to submit ideas and manage them through a workflow. Users can submit ideas through a variety of channels, including email, ZenDesk, and SalesForce. You can even attach account values to an idea submitted through SalesForce, though the UI in SalesForce is a little kludgy. This is a great feature for those that have the capacity to manage feedback this way, but be aware that it takes time to manage.
  • Aha! works pretty well with Jira so that project managers can have their backlog that is understandable to the business and engineering can break down those work items however they want.
  • Aha! also has a lot of useful integrations: Slack, ZenDesk, Zapier, etc. It also integrates with every major software project management tool on the market: Jira, Pivotal, Rally, Redmine, and TFS.

Airtable
  • I can create tables, create and customize fields
  • Airtable has capabilities commonly found in spreadsheet applications, but also has some of the features found in databases.
  • The ability to filter fields. I set up a filter on the status field, so when a project is marked, complete, on hold, or canceled, that record is hidden from my current projects table view. If it is marked complete, the record is moved to the completed projects table view. In this way I can easily access a record of past projects
  • Being able to duplicate tables and create alternate views
  • Collapse and expand records. When I collapse the rows, I can easily scan current projects, next steps, project status, and due dates. When I expand the row, or field, I can see more detailed information about that field or record very easily. I can also expand or open the entire record. This is is helpful, when I am entering a lot of information to multiple fields in that record.

Cons
Aha!
  • The roadmap feature presentation web page could use some better visuals. It's a little bland and grey.
  • The mobile app only shows you what you are assigned. I am not able to manage through the mobile app--I need to use the web page.

  • When records are deleted, there could be more options for what happens to associated records in other tables.
  • Multi-select fields should be sortable.
  • The per-user pricing model can be cumbersome when you need to share bases with third parties but can't use a publicly accessible URL.

  • Email alerts sometimes send too slowly.
  • If you put a project on hold, it can be hard to find it once you are ready to return to it.

Airtable
We will 10/10 renew the use of Airtable because it has brought great value to our team. Not only is Airtable affordable, but it's also user-friendly and helps our team be efficient. We no longer need to rely on Excel spreadsheets being passed from person to person via email. Furthermore, we aren't dealing with corrupt Excel spreadsheets and the need to salvage data when a file is accidentally altered.

I wish that Wrike had more drag and drop functionality that would be connected to assignee and also I wish that the finish date of a task would update to the date where you checked completed. It does not do that. Also finishing a task doesn't move the start date of the next task it "protects your time in that way", but our management team wants us to quickly see what we have down the pipeline rather than having to scroll down the list of upcoming tasks.

Usability
Aha!
I think Aha! works really in general, it offers a very comprehensive and well-structured platform that supports strategic product management at scale. Although there is a learning curve for new users and a few areas to be improved. Overall, it is highly usable for experienced product teams who need a robust roadmap tool.

IMO the usability of this product is its greatest asset. The UI is clean and the menus are intuitive to the point where I'd feel confident having a non-spreadsheety colleague take on building an Airtable for the first time with next to no training. I can't say that about every table-like software product that I've used such as Notion.

Over two years of (almost) daily usage without outages. Don't remember any errors. I give it 9 only because some Wrike plugins (for online document edit) are based on NPAPI architecture. These types of plugins are being phased out in new browsers, and NPAPI plugins are disabled by default in recent versions of Chrome so you have to do some browser adjustments when you switch browsers or move to another computer.

We use both monday.com and Wrike. While Monday does have a better user interface, Wrike allows us to have more visibility into tasks where multiple people are collaborating. And also to receive project brief-ins and requests for new projects. Aha!
  • It has helped us improve our product lifecycle communication. We have less wasted time spent figuring out where the project is and what it's waiting on. This has helped departments further down the project better use their time so they're already aligned with what's happening rather than waiting for a handoff.
  • Aha! has helped include our customers more in our product planning and especially in our bug fixes and new feature roadmaps.
  • Aha! has improved our strategy meetings or roundup discussions by storing everything in one place. They're shorter and more focused.
