Frame.io is great to use if you are someone that needs to share a lot of video. I could imagine it being used by wedding videographers, film videographers, news organizations, and nonprofits like us. It is also a great tool to add on and use if you use the Adobe Creative Suite. It does not have any editing tools, which is something you might assume it has with it being a video platform. Frame.io is best used for a curated and polished file management experience when collaborating with a team and enhancing the experience for the client or viewers of a pitch or presentation.

It works well for our small team, but we’ve run into some friction as things scale. Getting external users set up with the right access can be a bit of a hassle, and the cost starts to add up as we bring on more people and projects. That said, it’s still a solid tool, it definitely speeds up our workflow and works seamlessly with Adobe products.

I wish that Wrike had more drag and drop functionality that would be connected to assignee and also I wish that the finish date of a task would update to the date where you checked completed. It does not do that. Also finishing a task doesn't move the start date of the next task it "protects your time in that way", but our management team wants us to quickly see what we have down the pipeline rather than having to scroll down the list of upcoming tasks.

It is very user-friendly. Takes a new employee an hour to start figuring out how the system works. That's an important factor. You don't want to encounter the issue where employees need a week to understand how the system works. For example, JIRA, I tried using it for a week and I still don't understand the complicated layout. Asana has a simple interface. Once you see it, you get it type of program.

We have project templates set up based on what job type is selected in our work request form. This helps save time by having specific tasks already on each job as it is opened. Then it's just a matter of scheduling the tasks based on the job request and current workload. As long as a due date is flexible, it's easy to shift specific due dates as needed.

These types of plugins are being phased out in new browsers, and NPAPI plugins are disabled by default in recent versions of Chrome so you have to do some browser adjustments when you switch browsers or move to another computer.

I haven't had to use their support so I can't rate it. The fact that I haven't needed them reflects the ease of use of the product. I would recommend that any new users schedule a complete demo of the product to ensure that they are using it to it's fullest (there's a lot of useful features).

The few times I have needed support I have received a quick response - though the one major complaint I have had is regarding the omission of an iPad app - supposedly it is in the works but I haven't seen it release yet. We do have issues with the browser being buggy - especially on slow internet. Whether or not that is something support has failed me on, i'm not sure - but they are responsive, but don't always provide immediate results.

During my learning phase with Wrike, I initially struggled with setting up automation rules and request forms. However, Wrike support was always my go-to, resolving issues within seconds or minutes. Their assistance made the learning process much easier. My best experience was receiving step-by-step screenshots to follow, with the support team on standby until I was completely satisfied.

I love the Wrike training options. Wrike Discover has tons of courses, learning plans, certifications, etc. This is an area where Wrike definitely shines! I wish these resources were more in your face for new people, because it seems like a lot of coworkers didn't know all of this training was available to them.

Getting Frame.io up and running was relatively straightforward on the backend. Account setup, project organization, and uploading media were all intuitive. The real challenge came with client and stakeholder onboarding. Many users found the interface unfamiliar and intimidating compared to everyday tools, requiring repeated training sessions just to get basic feedback workflows functioning. Integrations with Adobe Premiere worked well for internal teams, though the desktop app felt underdeveloped. Overall, implementation was low-difficulty for tech-savvy editors but moderate-to-high when external collaborators were involved. With patience and proper onboarding documentation, most teams got up to speed within a few weeks.

There are a lot of bells and whistles in Wrike, and not all of it is easy or intuitive to understand once it's plopped in your lap. It's easier when there are a few choice people who understand Wrike as a platform and articulate it in such a way where it makes it easy to pass it along to others in the group

Asana is a top-tier project management software that helps us organize and track projects from start to finish. It allows us to apply tasks/to-dos to multiple projects without duplication, divide complex projects into smaller tasks, and track project progress. It also helps us organize work on Kanban boards or linear lists. It stands out from the crowd in a big way compared to the competition.

We utilize both Synthesia and Frame.io for different projects. Frame.io we use for editing actual video content that has been captured. Primary use is for customer training and education. We use Synthesia for short-form video production, primarily for software screen recording demonstrations, and for translation functionality (which is excellent).

Jira did not at all help us get our work done as content creators. I think that was because Jira wasn't quite right for our uses. Wrike fits our needs so much better. I can't tell you enough the relief I felt when we adopted Wrike and I never had to use Jira again.

    Contract Terms and Pricing Model

Frame.io's contract terms were straightforward, flexible, and largely free of the predatory clauses common in enterprise SaaS agreements. The language was clear, renewal terms were transparent, and the price lock provision gave long-term budget certainty. Data portability rights were explicitly defined, ensuring we could export our assets without restriction if we ever chose to leave the platform. The agreement also included a reasonable service level agreement with defined uptime guarantees. The single point deducted reflected the initial contract draft containing an auto-renewal clause with an uncomfortably short cancellation window, which required pushback to extend to a more reasonable notice period before signing.

The sky is the limit for what can be done in Wrike. We started with 1 use case and within 5 months we migrated several key business practices over to Wrike because they were easier to manage. Use cases so far: process improvement, management review, corrective actions, maintenance requests, month-end financial closing, and document management. As we grow, it's easy to imagine putting even more into Wrike where it becomes a cornerstone for how we do business

Frame.io's professional services delivered a structured, knowledgeable implementation experience that significantly accelerated our time to value. They arrived with a clear methodology, asked the right discovery questions upfront, and tailored their approach to our specific production environment rather than applying a generic template. Training sessions were thorough, well-paced, and adapted to varying levels of technical comfort across our team. The one point deducted reflected occasional scheduling delays in getting specialized resources assigned during peak periods, and a few instances where documentation provided after sessions lacked the detail needed for independent troubleshooting. Overall though, their expertise and professionalism made a meaningful difference in our implementation success.
