AI customer service features included in every plan.
Intercom integrates Help desk, AI Chat bot, and Proactive support.
So far we have tried multiple other options like Intercom or Tawk.to but for some reason they all fell short when compared Drift. Tawk didn't offer the same freedom of customization and their UX was a bit overwhelming, while Intercom was targeted at a very different user base …
Too many overlapping features with other products - it's a mix of sales, support and marketing which makes it hard to compare. Very similar to Intercom but more focused on website chat. vs. in product chat.
It is recommended for any company; it is a comprehensive tool for teams interested in strengthening business management and improving efficiency. It allows you to automatically schedule support with customers, thus saving a lot of time. Large companies can establish a chat and communication between potential customers, answering their questions quickly; allow you to monitor and track your leads and new leads, to make it fully functional, it has a very affordable value so that it can be used in all companies, it will not affect their economic aspects.
Intercom is well suited for connecting internal personnel with external individuals and those externals to specific individuals or teams within the organization. Intercom also does a good job at allowing multiple resources to direct communication in the right direction, whether that be a transfer internally or directing initial communication requests to the appropriate resources. Intercom is not always the best-suited platform for reaching out to external individuals because of the inability to know the availability of who you are trying to reach.
Easy to implement - we were up on our site in hours.
Increases the volume and quality of buyer conversations - visitors get to value faster and qualify themselves by chatting in.
Surfaces relevant experiences and content to people faster based on targeted use cases.
Brings your brand to the prospect experience to stand out in the market. For example, our mascot Ollie Llama welcoming visitors on the homepage with funny llama.
In-app communication: I can deploy tours, banners, checklists, tooltips, posts, and surveys in a matter of minutes.
Knowledge Hub: I can write and publish a help article that can then be used to train the Fin AI agent to deliver accurate answers to our customers.
Communicating in context with service/sales agents and customers: the Help Desk makes it simple for sales and service agents to pull me into a conversation with a customer to resolve product-related issues.
Whenever there have been challenges with the product, the team has always been hungry to fix the issues that we raise.
In-platform reporting on conversion metrics can be improved. For example, it's not possible to report on business vs non business email capture rate (currently reported by our CSM every week), and to get the most detail about meetings that have been booked, you have to export data and review in Sheets/Excel. Drift responds quickly, and they're already working on this... so by the time you read this review, the reports will probably be fully functional in the platform.
We have been and will be continuing our journey with Intercom and nothing too concerning has happened that I have experienced or heard of that has us on the edge yet. If it ever happens it will be something along the lines of "Outgrowing" the use of need of the platform.
It is very easy to use and it is an effective tool if used correctly. The only thing we need is to understand what the other person is trying to talk to us about. Prospecting and deeper understanding of the requirements or problems can be easily done and it can save reply templates so you don't have to type the same thing over and over.
The transition from AI to human is seamless. This is from my experience of contacting Intercom for help and your use of Fin AI. We currently do not have the scale for Fin AI, but it is under consideration for the near future. Outside of Fin AI for our use case, bots and automation have made it easier to direct users to the correct knowledge materials and made the transition to human support seamless when needed.
The support team was very responsive but at the end of the day they took a long time to fix our issue. The issue did get fixed, though, so that is what matters. Very nice people who are there to help in any way they can.
Intercom is the premier customer support/engagement model and it definitely has one of the top tier customer support teams as well. I don't think I have ever waited more than 5 minutes to get the information I need or get help with an issue. They are incredible and I aim to model our customer service department after them.
I have used a few different chat platforms, the most popular one being Intercom. They both have some similarities in functionalities and features. I have had more success with Drift and the calendar link/automation. I love the fact that a prospect can easily find my calendar link and book a demo without needing to speak with me.
The intercom is more intuitive and provides easier management and personalization of our conversations. It's been a while since I used Zendesk, so this might have changed, but Intercom provides a bigger catalog of functionality targeted to product marketing, such as emails, in-app banners, pop-ups, and, overall, outbound communications.
Faster customer onboarding: When we identified our biggest conversion factors, we were able to set up an onboarding sequence that helped people get started and converted faster.
Adoption: It's much easier to showcase a new software feature. We build out a post and a tour for any new software features and prompt it to show up the first time they log in, all through Intercom.
Money: It's saved us money in the long run considering how many softwares we would have needed to use in order to get the same features offered in Intercom.
