Jobvite

Mid-Size Companies (51-1,000 employees)
Jobvite is a full recruiting platform. It provides features across the recruiting funnel - from sourcing and managing candidates via CRM and managing workflows to communicating with hiring managers and reporting through custom dashboards and reports.
I worked with Jobvite for 2 years, their lack of good customer service is what drew me away from them, in Greenhouse you have a designated point person for all problems.
Jobvite was the system you used to invite and amplify opportunities. Greenhouse is doing this but excels at streamlining the increased amount of inbound response from said amplification.
When we were evaluating recruiting systems, we looked at Greenhouse, Lever and Jobvite. Must-haves for us were usability, robust search features, global support and reporting. Greenhouse met all of those requirements by a wide margin. Jobvite seemed antiquated, not …

Greenhouse in comparison to others we've evaluated is that they cannot comprehend the level of importance when it comes to hiring. Especially during this time where candidates have so many options, the quicker [it is] to move someone throughout the process by just a couple of …

Greenhouse is much better than Jobvite -- reporting is about the same, but UI is cleaner and system is easier to use.

I evaluated Leve, JobDiva, SmartRecruiters, and Jobvite 3-4 times in the past few years and I have to say that Greenhouse was at a nice price point and gave us the usability and functionality that we require here at Beeswax. I'm a big fan and their customer service is amazing. …
I've used a wide variety of Applicant Tracking system's that all had their pain points: Kenexa Brassring Peoplesoft Jobvite Taleo I have to say out of the Applicant Tracking System's I used, Greenhouse has been the best to use. It has done a great job in helping our …
Greenhouse has the following advantages over its competitors which led us to prefer Greenhouse over similar products: 1. User-friendly dashboard which requires the least amount of training and knowledge to operate it. 2. Easy uploading of content and resumes on the platform and …
Compared to all of the above Greenhouse has following advantages: 1. It is more easy to use and provides better user friendly interface for the employees. 2. Searching for open job roles under various departments and regions is quite easy and handy feature of Greenhouse.
iCIMS is VERY clunky compared to Greenhouse. I have heard good things about Lever. We demo'd with Lever and Jazz when we were selecting a new ATS and went with Greenhouse. I have heard Greenhouse is more expensive than others and some companies get priced out. When I recommend …

I actually have not had much experience with another Applicant Tracking System outside of Greenhouse. I am focused on the talent management side of things in human resources, but I have heard discussions related to different ATSs. I know that we are happy with Greenhouse and …

Greenhouse is the best ATS I have used in my career. Particularly from a user interface, collaboration, and feature set standpoint. I highly recommend it for rapid growing companies.
It's not the worst but it's not the best. It has really great features but not the best user support.

I wasn't involved in the selection process for greenhouse. I am an end user as I am using this product for tracking applicants for my team. The HR team did an analysis of other products and we did not have any other product in place beforehand to my knowledge.
Greenhouse was a close competitor, but at the time (7-8 years ago) we felt Jobvite was ahead of the curve, constantly adapting, and had real recruiters working on their applications and workflows. They understood the landscape.

Jobvite is a superior tool when compared against all the other acquisition tools I have used and definitely can say is the most user-friendly in my opinion. I enjoyed using it as an admin and as a user and would definitely recommend the product to anyone looking for an …
Jobvite provides a great solution that uses every function a recruiter needs, while not necessarily providing hidden fields and values that would create more of a rabbit hole. All the information for hiring managers is available to them via a one-click email rather than …
Changing ATSs is a substantial investment. Our purpose for reviewing another ATS was more to understand Jobvite's capabilities compared to competitors. We found they overall were very similar and I'm always able to work through an improvement with a customer service rep.
It gives our HR team more capabilities as it relates to applicant tracking, reporting, and overall usability for a growing company. The more open requisitions, the more challenging it becomes for all players involved to really be on the same page and know what departments may …
Integration is at its best I would say, we can have our mail box connected with Greenhouse account and also it has ability to get real time data from tools like workday to push REQ into market. I personally liked the tool when I saw candidate feedback from multiple sources on my screen. Really does the job for everyone in the business by saving hours of time.
Jobvite was very useful when used to onboard our new hires. Being a Human capital management company, we hire many individuals on a weekly basis so it helps us keep all of the paperwork organized and prevent any accidents when managing all of the data. Sometimes it does pose a problem for those who are not technologically savvy.
Greenhouse is amazing for recruitment and the links can directly be posted from here to recruiting websites.
GREENHOUSE helps in taking interview notes while interviewing which help in subsequent interview stages by well documenting the negatives and positives of each candidate.
Background checks and offer letter approval is also something which greenhouse does very smoothly with readily available templates.
While decision making, it helps us give the exact reason for rejection and if selected we can directly choose the source from options so that the source can be incentivised accordingly.
Greenhouse Security is simple, but not that granular. For example, everytime new recruiter joins, we have to give them access manually one by one. There is no one click or an easy way to auto assign security unlike other systems that we use such as Workday.
Greenhouse reporting is very lacking. Even though we are on the highest tier, we cannot extract data through this delivered feature. For example, scorecard custom questions. We have to do this through SQL.
Greenhouse Audit Log is also lacking. It is not useful at all. We cannot even see what job info changed and who changed it even though we are on the highest tier now.
Custom fields--custom fields do not follow the candidate from hire to onboarding. This is problematic because we then have to recreate on the onboarding side to then import into our HRIS.
Onboarding picklists are time-consuming to populate. We have to enter options one at a time, rather than being able to do an import. Also, field mapping on Hire is a lot easier than having to set up tags on option sets in onboarding.
If I were to become an internal recruiter again, I would almost definitely use Jobvite. I liked the fact that we could set up any job application link on our company web site to connect directly to Jobvite. I also liked that Jobvite made employee referral easy to submit, as employee referrals tend to be the highest quality candidates. Jobvite really has all the tools a recruiter needs to get a candidate through a recruiting process quickly without anything slipping through the cracks. Even though there are a lot of features I feel can be greatly improved, I don't think there is anything on the market today that is better than Jobvite
The overall interface is very easy to understand and it is capable. There are a lot of very useful functionalities that help in productivity as simple as tags for the coordinators to manage their day to day tasks. The continuous improvements greenhouse brings to the users are really impressive. We use quite a few integrations with it and they help the job even hassle free.
After using varios ATS's in the past, I have found most comfort and ease using jobvite. This tool has made the hiring process so easy to manage and just the fact that it is not complicated to use, makes it even better
I have never needed to call Greenhouse for support. I am not the primary account holder, nor do I use Greenhouse enough to merit calling support. I delegate that responsibility to the Recruiting team. They have never mentioned any experience with Greenhouse technical support, either bad or good. I would assume that they would tell me if the support was poor.
Support used to be better. In the last few years, though, I feel like there has been significantly less investment in customer service. We used to have account managers who were very visible and always checking in. Also, there used to be a phone number to get around-the-clock support. I am not sure that that exists at the quality it used to
Many startups will end up using Lever or Greenhouse as an ATS system and they are very comparable. I love Lever as well but Greenhouse just has more functionalities and it higher capacities especially working with a bigger company from 500-1000 high growth scale. Lever is a great platform but it's a bit for smaller companies. I ended up deciding to go for Greenhouse because there's more ways to touch candidates such as with recruiter contact, candidate scheduling, and resume screening
Before implementing Jobvite, we had iCIMS and Kronos Workforce Ready. Neither of these products got us where we wanted to be with metrics, candidate experience, or technology. I'm sure since we left them they have updated, but we are much happier with Jobvite than others. In the process of searching for a new ATS, we attended demonstrations of 9 other applicant tracking systems and were most impressed with Jobvite.
Reporting - we had none before other than manually tracking things in excel documents, now we have a full suite of reports and dashboards we can customize.
Interview Scheduling - With the candidate self-scheduling feature, we can now schedule interviews in a matter of seconds while also automating the candidate confirmation email and the calendar invites.
More detailed source tracking than I have seen in any other product allowing full visibility on who we hire, where they came from and we can now analyze our sources.
