Fujitsu
At the suggestion of the contractor (retailer), who has always entrusted us with the Internet environment, we set up this tower server. The CAL upgrade cost associated with upgrading the file server can be greatly reduced because the StrageServer operating system was given as a line. The operability of remote maintenance was also greatly improved by employing the associated management software (iRMC).

Recommended for:
  1. Multiple systems to interface for a task in the company (example: to sell an item your POS must communicate with the inventory software, then to accounting, then to service, etc).
  2. When a task must bring information from several external services.
  3. When you have to deal with multiple APIs.
Not recommended for:
  1. Data transformation (although Talend has a software for that that works with Talend ESB)

Pros
Fujitsu
  • It has a good user support team
  • The support system that more than makes up for it is the determining factor for the choice.
  • When a RAID disk or power supply failed, the maintenance service alerted me with a monitoring alarm and replaced it quickly before service was interrupted.

  • Up to 900 connectors included in the license with no extra cost
  • Graphical UI to develop the Web Services
  • You can begin with the community version to evaluate or start implementing a very uncomplicated ESB
  • The Talend ESB Admin Control is very powerful with dashboards and reports to keep your IF working smoothly

Cons
Fujitsu
  • It has no effect on the run rate because it does everything correctly from detection to replacement before stopping
  • I think a more reliable unit can be used as a server computer.
  • It is more expensive than a model of equal characteristics from a foreign manufacturer.

  • You have to log in to each module separately
  • 900 connectors is a lot, but if you have a custom app to interface, you have to develop your connector

  • First, it is a lot of cheaper than the closest competitor.
  • Second, Talend ESB is in the same league as other stronger brands.
  • Third, the functions and modules are a 360 solution to implement an ESB.
Talend has a different approach to license since it is based on programmers and run times, not to users of cores.

Return on Investment
Fujitsu
  • With respect to the backup system, I believe that relocation after the replacement was facilitated.
  • The best solution to the problem was that thanks to Fujitsu Interstage I created a separate cloud to store the data for each individual PC.
  • Being able to continue the tasks, without the interruption of service due to a hardware failure that was fixed very efficiently, demonstrates the quality of this company's operations.

  • Considerably cheaper than oracle service bus
  • As I said before, you can run a POC using the community version of Talend Studio.
  • Built from Open Source/ well-proven technologies, and a big community to support those technologies.
