Customizable Solution: Several users have mentioned that Orderhive's Plus, now called Enterprise, solution is highly customizable. They attribute this customization as a key reason for selecting this vendor for their ecommerce business. They appreciate the ability to tailor the software to their specific needs and mention that although there was significant due diligence involved in understanding the features and determining necessary customizations, they found it worthwhile.

Ease of Use: Many users have praised the ease of use of Orderhive. They find the platform intuitive and user-friendly, which greatly helps with day-to-day operations. Specifically, they like how all sales channels are unified in one place, allowing them to efficiently track and process sales.

Responsive Customer Support: The customer support provided by Orderhive has received positive feedback from multiple users. They report that the support team is responsive and helpful in addressing inquiries and resolving any issues faced. Users also appreciate the option to raise tickets and receive timely assistance when needed.

Poor Customer Service: Several users have expressed their disappointment with the customer service provided by Orderhive. They have experienced extremely poor customer service, with promises not being completed on time. Users felt let down by the lack of responsiveness and follow-through from the Orderhive team.

Lack of Understanding Requirements: Some users felt that Orderhive did not make a genuine effort to deeply understand their specific requirements. This led to frustration and dissatisfaction as the delivered solutions did not align with their expectations and needs.

Communication Issues: Many users had significant difficulties in engaging with the Orderhive team regarding project progress and reasons for its halt. The lack of effective communication caused delays, hindered collaboration, and left users feeling ignored and frustrated.

Users of Orderhive have provided several recommendations based on their experiences with the software. Here are three common recommendations from users:

  1. Be cautious with billing and avoid keeping a card on file with the software. Some users emphasize the importance of being careful when signing contracts and suggest not storing payment information on Orderhive.

  2. Orderhive is highly recommended for order-related queries, particularly for tracking current status and order details. Users find it to be the best software in this regard, making it ideal for sales professionals who need to easily track orders and manage lead details.

  3. New sellers looking for affordable software with many features are advised to consider Orderhive. Users appreciate its simplicity and find it easy to use. However, some mention that upgrades can be slow and time-consuming, so if time is a priority or if processing and printing shipment labels are important, it may not be the best option.

It's worth noting that Orderhive operates as a pay-as-you-go service with a 15-day trial period and no obligation to continue using it.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Cin7 Orderhive is being sunsetted and rightly so. I started using this system as a multichannel inventory management system 3 years ago. In the beginning it worked well for me. As time went on there were many bugs for example it's main function is inventory management and it would constantly over sell items. It took a while to find out why they weren't reporting the correct information. Then they told me it was my responsibility to resolve it with the channel. I'm not a tech guy, but it went down hill from there.

In my opinion, same as many companies, they give you all the attention you need in the beginning then forget about you. For me, customer service is slow to respond and mostly good for basic questions. Anything problem related never got resolved quickly.
  • Fees charges exactly when due. they do that well
  • Lifetime account rep lasted for a year
  • Channel integration not always connecting
  • Overselling items is a huge issue for me
Setting up was covered by a dedicated account rep. It was a smooth and relatively easy process. Problems started a year in when I lost my dedicated account rep. Customer service would refer to the instructions when a question was asked. Sadly they didn't understand the question most of the time.

  • Lost sales due to inaccurate connections to channels
  • Over selling for the same reason
  • Couldn't print invoices unless I cleared my browser daily.
Sadly I can't give Cin7 Core a review, because they haven't been able to resolve connection issues and it's been 3 months.

But I'm done with this company

Our company was looking for a solution to connect all of the different systems we had and facilitate the flow of orders and shipping information between those systems. Orderhive has been an outstanding partner in addressing our needs, implementing solutions, and integrating our disparate systems into one cohesive environment. Our implementation required integration to a system that was not yet available with Orderhive and they stepped in and created that integration for us so that we could proceed with the implementation without having to compromise connectivity to one of our key systems.
  • Responds to inquiries and reported issues
  • Easy to use and intuitive user interface
  • Access to logging information for troubleshooting integration issues
  • Feature requests could be implemented quicker
  • Some of the newest user interface additions could be clearer
Orderhive is a great match for companies looking to connect a variety of cloud-based systems together in a single easy-to-use interface. Having a single location that can be used to manage the different aspects of the business is efficient and helps to reduce mistakes.

We planned for Orderhive to be implemented in the e-commerce department of one of the businesses that I consult with. The department at that business was, at the time, using an archaic, industry-specific ERP system, that was holding the business back from growing. After comparing a range of vendors, we selected Orderhive due to the ability for it to be customized to suit our business.
  • Around 18 months ago I started conversations with Orderhive as a potential vendor to run a large portion of our ecommerce business. It seemed promising, and the idea that the Plus (now called Enterprise) solution was customisable was the reason I decided to select Orderhive.
  • There was a significant amount of due-diligence from my end. It took me around 6 months to get my head around what features the software currently had, and what we would need to have Orderhive complete as a customisation.
  • This in itself was also quite a bit of work - there were a number of revisions to the contract documents, created by a non-technical sales representative. My concerns started around this point when I was unable to speak with a technical representative to discuss, in more detail, how each feature would work.
  • The google doc that I created to try to capture the detail of each feature was simply copy and pasted in to the contract document - meaning that if I missed something then it was going to be developed incorrectly. It seemed that there was no attempt whatsoever from Orderhive to truly understand what it was that we required on a deep level.
  • Nonetheless, once we signed the contract, and we paid the deposit, things were underway - and I will admit it did seem promising. Within around 8 weeks Orderhive had set up the staging and production server environments and had completed some very basic functionalities such as adding an additional column to the Kanban order view.
  • However, once the very basic customisations were completed, things completely stopped. It was tough work from my part to get the Orderhive team together to discuss where the project was at, and why it had stopped. We had a couple discussions about how to get things back on track, but it was at this point that I wondered if Orderhive had just realised some of the complexities that would be involved in our customisations.
  • It took around 3 more months of exchanges between us for me to formulate a plan in how finish this project - I compromised significantly on the features we originally requested. I actually removed the largest customisation from the project in the hopes it would kick it back in to gear. But it seemed the damage was done - the Orderhive team no longer wanted to work on this project - and instead place their focus on an easier (more profitable) area of their business.
  • 2 weeks ago, I sent an email to our original sales representative, stating that I wished to cancel the project. I had a reply from the CEO of the company, and in that email it confirmed what I had suspected for some time… He stated that “In the last two months, we have upgraded architecture of Orderhive to achieve customisation in the SaaS version. So we can deliver better and much faster than earlier. I am working on your requirement to figure out how we can achieve it in SaaS customisation.”
  • Orderhive has essentially used the money we have paid them to develop our custom solution to upgrade their own SaaS solution - we have funded some part of the development of their SaaS product that they will ultimately use to sell to other customers.
It is absolutely possible that the Orderhive out-of-the-box SaaS solution is a good one. However, I would warn anyone who is looking at the “Plus”/”Enterprise” solution to be extremely cautious of Orderhive. If you do go ahead, do not accept the scope that is sold to you by Orderhive - insist on a custom, detailed scope of works with details about how each feature will work. Insist on progress payments that are payable on delivery of each feature. There are many other providers out there that have much more advanced features than what Orderhive offers. The “customisability” of Orderhive is certainly attractive - but this only makes sense when all else is equal - if they can not deliver on anything, then they can promise everything that you ask for.

  • There has been a negative ROI in this case. Not only have we paid a deposit toward the customisation of our orderhive implementation, there has also been a massive sunk cost of approximately 18 months of my time and effort.
Orderhive attempts to do too many features, and each of those features is totally underdeveloped. The reason for choosing the Orderhive plus/enterprise solution in the first place, was so that we would be able to strengthen these features in our custom implementation, as well as additional custom business processes. Unfortunately, since Orderhive has been unable to deliver on this, the entire effort has been a loss.
