Reviews
(51-75 of 109)Cost effective cloud storage
- Its seamless integration into Office 365 cuts down IT support time for installation and configuration, etc.
- Very cost-effective.
Robust and User Friendly Data Storage Solution
- Positive - ease of use and protecting user data.

- Positive- ensuring your data will not get lost, even if there is a hardware failure on your personal device.
- ROI - One file access point instead of multiple across the organization.
- Document collaboration.
- Speed of information greatly improved.
OneDrive--A great solution for cloud-based storage
- We added OneDrive as a corporate-wide cloud storage solution in conjunction with our upgrade to Office 365. It was a seamless integration.
- We have experienced significant cost savings over Box as a cloud storage solution.
One Drive for the Mobile Office is a Go
- One Drive has made it possible to have mobile offices, while keeping files synced.
- One Drive has saved the need for external document backups as the could is used.
- One Drive has made it possible to move forward with presentations even if a flash drive was left behind.
Practical
- Still no negative impact. Since it was implemented in the company, the impact has been positive due to the collaboration resources in the work environment.
OneDrive, Dropbox and Google Drive, Oh My! My Team's decision to settle on OneDrive for Knowledge Management
- We have seen some productivity gains for those team members that are fully utilizing the full MS Office suite, including Microsoft Project. Having a more fully-integrated knowledge- and project-management solution is a vast efficiency improvement.
- We are also able to more effectively collaborate with external partners, by granting access to specific folders within our document repository.
- We are able to more effectively collaborate internally with these fine-grained access controls as well, whereas previously an entirely separate Dropbox area was needed for sensitive documents (budgets, salary information, W-9s, contracts, etc)
- Some permissions issues (bugs where subfolders don't inherit permissions appropriately) occasionally cause loss of trust in the product with some team members, causing them to fall back to other tools and fragmenting our document repository.
Great cloud service, stacks up against competitors
- Helps to manage tasks, keeps everyone aware of progress made (user versioning features).
- Not particularly expensive for a large company, especially with virtually unlimited space.
- Team in the field complains about the connectivity reliability feature. Really a sore point, but that's for any cloud service.
Onedrive: A Honest Review
- We have really used Onedrive to help speed the process up of document sharing and collaboration. With this in mind, we are able to speed up our through-put. This is a definite positive to the ROI for our department.
OneDrive - a matured cloud provider
- Being bundled into our Office 365 accounts makes the service very inexpensive compared to alternative cloud providers.
- Providing our users with a cloud storage solution has definitely benefited our mobile employees by allowing them to have the files they need accessible to them in the field.
- We're able to control the external sharing of documents to a much greater degree with OneDrive.
OneDrive - Almost there.....
- OneDrive has made device replacement faster as users no longer have many files stored locally.
- Increase in productivity as users are now able to work from anywhere on practically any device they choose.
- Decrease in downtime as users are no longer hampered by a faulty device. They can simply switch to another device and continue working.
Features out the wazoo but still somewhat clunky
- I can't speak to business metrics, but I can say that it is very helpful to have every single person in my company using the same system.
OneDrive Solutions
- Uniform rollout for all users has brought organization consistency.
- Less reliance on in-house network specialists to resolve storage based issues.
Excellent service for your files in the cloud
- We have decreased the amount of hard disk space on the servers.
- Many users still do not adapt to using the tool.
- Users who have adapted can improve their work performance.
OneDrive Review
- We now have all users major profile folders/files backed up to their OneDrive profiles.
- Took a very long time to roll out OneDrive through AD and find a way to monitor if users OneDrive's were synced. No resources on any logging or errors; test and test more.
- Easy to get access to a user's files on another device by signing them into OneDrive.
- Good solution for sharing/syncing a folder with multiple users.
- It has had a positive impact because it allows us to share files with coworkers easily without the need of additional hardware.
- The ability to access information just with an internet connection is excellent while working in the clients offices or in the field.
- OneDrive allows our users to sync and share Microsoft Office documents via shared SharePoint sites
- OneDrive with it's 1TB storage allows our users to publicly share huge files that would otherwise require an paid storage upgrade on Google Drive side
- With Sharepoint and the Office inside web browser, it allows us to create, edit and save files from a phone, tablet or from a computer that doesn't have Office installed
- Reps now have access to updated content from wherever they are
- Versioning control down to desktop machines is limited so reps still have copies of old documents that are being used
- New content can be announced and rolled out very quickly
The One and Only OneDrive
- This is a neutral product in my company. You have to be very familiar with computers and software to use OneDrive effectively at my company.
OneDrive - Access Your Work Anywhere at Any Time!
- The positive impact is ease of access to documents.
- Another positive is being able to control who has access to what documents.
- We had the AC unit in our server room go out over the summer, and our servers fried. People who had not transitioned to OneDrive could not work for several days. With OneDrive, hardware failure is not an issue because users can access from anywhere with a web browser.
- Modest increase in productivity inasmuch as I no longer have to VPN to my local office machine to upload an updated version of a document I downloaded from our storage location and worked on.
- Has allowed some sequestration of personal contents I store on there, wasn't available on our earlier mass storage.
One Drive, create it,see it,reach it from anywhere.
- We have saved money in updating our old servers which store all of data
- Users have more flexibility in handing their own files. Saving us time.
- We reduced our in-house backups
OneDrive Review
- Allows us to get information in timely manner
- Not everyone is tech savvy so it can still be cumbersome trying to get old timers to use so productivity time is sometimes low
- Sharing information with user face is very simple
OneDrive is the only "DRIVE"
- Being able to store large files in the cloud allows our business to save money on local storage costs.
- Being able to have multiple people work on the same file without having to email it back and forth saves the company money by decreasing the labor time people have to spend creating emails.
- There could be a problem with storing information in the cloud if internet service is interrupted and access is needed to a particular file.
OneDrive helps with access to documents across devices
- Helped traveling users stay connected to documents when they have not been able to access the network
- Neutral on if there is any true time saving versus network drive options
- Cost is more than using network options
