(76-100 of 109)Personal Storage, Enterprise Control
- We wanted to decrease file storage use of our file server by certain departments and groups, OneDrive allowed us to move user files and other "high traffic" documents off our infrastructure and onto a platform that we were already supporting.
- OneDrive increased collaboration not just across groups, but also with external partners. We weren't able to get the same level of control and collaboration at the same price point with other services we evaluated.
OneDrive: A stripped down, cheaper, more efficient version of SharePoint
- It has made our team much more efficient by easily accessing documents and editing them without having to check them out, edit, and check in. Great time saver.
- It allows us to share documents with permissions across teams easily just using email verification instead of creating complicated roles and groups.
- It is very similar to Google Drive, but better integrated for Microsoft based companies.
OneDrive for Business is what every corporate backup should be
- As an end user, OneDrive has been super useful for team and department use. As there is no actual access to the value of investment, ROI is not available.
Document management helps with projects
- Document management became really easy using onedrive.
- Document collaboration helped a lot with managing client expectations.
- The email application helped with sending project alerts.
OneDrive - mange emails well via Outlook Online.
- Better email management via Outlook online.
- Online Documents (Word) helps creates docs easily.
- Calendar helps managing events in great way.
One rive Hills and Valleys
- Positive effect is that as more hard drives crash we don't lose sensitive data. It is impossible to put a price tag on that since most don't expect drives to crash even though there is a clear history that it's not if, but when will the drive crash.
- Sharing documents through the web has been great. Many times when PCs are out of commission we can get a back and then regain access to those important data files and continue making changes on them without having to install the software to run them.
- We did lose the ability to share with groups of people when we moved from Gdrive to 1Drive since group sharing is not as easy to control by the user.
Easy access to photos
- Accessibility of work material.
- It allows to meet clients in the comfort of their home.
- It accelerates the clients decision making time.
- Allowed for citywide employees to more easily and quickly share documents saving valuable time.
- Provided a nice backup of documents in cases of lost laptop, lost device, corrupted drive, etc.
A Decent Tool if it's Part of a Bundle
- Multi-User edit sessions have been a positive.
- Moving documents to a cloud based model has made collaboration easier.
- Larger files that require greater throughput are going to deadlock the OneDrive sync engine.
- ODFB is only suitable as an add-on, I would not purchase it by itself.
- We are able to eliminate Dropbox for internal work because of OneDrive
- Syncing is not as strong as it should be. When multiple people collaborate on a shared file - sometimes versions get out of sync due to timeouts or other network related issues.
Very nice, but be careful!
- Since it's part of Office 365, it's free.
- If synced with devices, it can fill the hard drive.
Simple User's Assessment of OneDrive.
- Increased utilization of project collaboration.
- Allow for the elimination for storage servers.
- Provide a safe file repository to utilize and recover files.
- I'm not sure that we have really analyzed what kind of ROI OneDrive has impacted the business; I do agree that it makes working from home a lot easier.
- Having a flexible schedule outside of tax season, I find myself working more from home. Being able to effectively manage all our documents/photos/ads/promotional artwork from my home computer is awesome.
- Happy employees means a happy business!
All your important documents in one place
- We can have access to the document without needing to send them through email.
- We can carry all our documents with us, to any meeting.
OneDrive for Business Users
- So far is it working well and enables us to work as we wish to. We are using in combination with Office 365 sites, which we are just in the process of setting up.
Best cloud sharing for business users.
- Before oneDrive we use to spend a huge [amount of] money on hardware and now it has become [updated] with Cloud based oneDrive.
One Drive Review
- The speed of accomplishing goals increased
- Ease of access to the files whenever we need it
- More efficient and easy to use than Dropbox but equal to Google Drive
- Due to Microsoft Word being online we are able to save it via onedrive
OneDrive to rule them all? Not so much.
- Mostly a negligible impact due to many cloud storage options available right now.
- It's there, but the default space has dramatically dropped making it less usable overall.
- Our team likes having OneDrive as an option, but it's never the first choice when it comes to cloud saving.
- Helped our team with creating documents
- We lost chunks of Word due to bad merging problems
- Increased productivity
- Increased mobility and portability
- Increased reliability
OneDrive To Rule Them All
- Have been able to share deliverables much more quickly with clients
- Reduces storage cost by a few hundred dollars a year
- Not always accessible and can lead to long delays on certain machines/OSs
- The persistence of file access across devices and services I use has been invaluable.
- With Continuum and Windows 10, I can easily work with my data across devices without any hassle. Pick up and put down anywhere, and continue work on the fly. Fantastic.
- Granular privacy/access controls allow me to share data publicly without worry.
Seamless Use of OneDrive
- By using OneDrive within our team to share a bunch of events that is updated daily, it really saved time.
OneDrive - low storage, but high usability
- It has had a positive return on investment, I currently store 4.71 gb of files easily.
OneDrive, Many Focuses
- We have been able to agree on specific goals.
- It has been easier to stay up to date on budgeting, and as a result have saved hundreds of dollars in traveling and events.
