Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

Lucidchart is used by just a few teams within our organization for specific uses - flow charts and org charts - which it does very well. I was looking for a lightweight diagramming tool to map out processes that was smart but not too rigid to be customized, and powerful but without a crazy learning curve.
  • Organizational charts
  • Floor plan / office layout planning
  • Process mapping
  • Storage space quota visibility
  • Photo management
  • The cases it's solved haven't added income to our bottom line, but they help our team communicate better.
I can't remember any cloud-based competitors i looked for when we set up Lucid Chart originally. Lucid Chart replaced powerpoint, microsoft word, and google draw that we were using for basic diagrams earlier. Lucid chart is much more satisfying to use - the charts actually can grow as much as we need and we're not limited by text boxes.
Great for simple sketching and publishing for clear communication to our team or to the board. The boxes, lines, clip art library, and photo inputs make for very nice presentations.

It's not powerful enough for actual construction blueprints, or serious graphic design. You'll want a stronger piece of software for those situations.
