Overall Satisfaction with Rippling
We absolutely love Rippling! We joined Rippling within the past year after leaving ADP's PEO service model. We were originally planning on sticking with ADP but in a non-PEO fashion, but due to continued support issues, compliance concerns, and overall account mismanagement and errors, we decided to look into other options. When doing research, Rippling consistently came up as a top contender for HRIS/Payroll needs. They checked all of the boxes and even checked a few more that we didn't even have on our list. We're impressed by how much more intuitive it is than ADP. It's a very robust system and allows for a lot of customization without feeling like a jumbled mess. The number Rippling apps and external integrations offered also really helped push us to Rippling (ex: automated BG checks, performance management, OKRs, MS Office, 401k, IT/Device Management, etc.)
Rippling also has great customer service and support. Any time we need support we get a response almost instantaneously, for any complex questions it's typically resolved within 24-72 hours with consistent updates on the status. Their help center articles are amazing and in-depth, both for system admins and employees.

Rippling was by far the better option. ADPs offerings were terrible and I would not recommend anyone to go with them. Aside from the poor support/service and inability to be fully customizable, there were glaring issues regarding compliance. When we were in a PEO Model (TotalSource) our rep pushed back on giving us access to EEO, Vets, or disability data that we were required to report on as a federal contractor. We also had issues with them abiding by the terms of our contract. As we were with ADP for the 2022 calendar year in a PEO relationship (under ADP's FEIN), they are responsible for the ACA and 1095s. ADP then claimed that because they sent a letter, which never arrived, that the letter negated the terms of the contract we signed last year and they were not going to be doing the filing for us, even though we had already paid for that service as part of our contract.
The other options that we considered and were in our top 3 were BambooHR and Paycor. BambooHR was great from an HRIS perspective but wasn't the best on the Payroll side and our VP of Finance wasn't confident in going with them. Paycor was nice, but just wasn't as robust and didn't offer the services that we really liked with Rippling.
