Avast Email Security vs. Imprivata Cortext

Avast Email Security is ideal for people who care [about] email security. With Avast Email Security you need not worry about spamming and malware attacks. Also, if you regularly share confidential information, Avast Email Security comes in handy when it comes to encrypting emails to ensure no unauthorized access. Therefore, the software is ideal for many companies and professionals such as doctors, accountants, and insurance firms.

Well suited in a hospital environment when it works well. Easy to use tool so that doctors and nurses can use it without a lot of training. It becomes a lot harder to use when the tool is unreliable. You can't tell when the service is not working, unless the person sending the secure text notices that someone hasn't looked at a text in a long time.

• With Avast Email Security, it is easy to manage inbox sizes of individual emails

• Able to look at audit logs with Imprivata Cortext. This is helpful to go back and either help users in troubleshooting problems and also to help prove findings.

• No dictation or voice recognition. Have to type out everything.
• We have had problems with the service dropping or trouble with the cloud environment that Cortext runs on going down. We rely it on it to be up all the time and you can't tell when it's down.
• Support isn't the greatest. Don't get great answers to questions.

Avast Email Security is a great tool more so if your have other Avast products. It is easy to use, very secure and offers great features to protect your emails. It is the best I have used

We selected Imprivata Cortext instead of Tiger Text because at that time it was a new service and they gave us good pricing compared to Tiger Text. We also selected Cortext because we use Imprivata OneSign. Now that they are probably at about the same price I would give more sway to looking at Tiger Text.

• Avast Email Security makes it easy to encrypt and decrypt emails thereby ensuring data privacy

• Saves time by allowing the doctor or nurse to send messages when they have time, instead of dedicating time and waiting on phone calls.
• Negative impact when the service doesn't work and nurses and doctors become used to it working. All of the sudden they are spending time trying to determine if it's working or not and spending time waiting on receiving texts.
