Much easier to generate new certificates and validate them directly in Route53 rather than have to generate them on servers via Let's Encrypt and then have to import them somewhere else, and then have to re-validate them every few months.
Easy to implement within a few clicks, or even from command line, the alternatives doesn't integrate that easy with AWS Application Load Balancers or AWS CloudFront
