A simple solution for the AWS Cloud
Overall Satisfaction with AWS Certificate Manager
We use AWS Certificate Manager across the whole organization to create and manage all the certificates needed to secure connections to other AWS services such as ALB, API Gateway, and CloudFront. The main business problem it solves is the high integration and easy of use within AWS, even to import external keys and certificates and manage them from there.
Pros
- Ease of use
- Great integration with other AWS services
- Public certificates are free
Cons
- It would be great if it integrated with other domain name services from domain validation
- EC2 and other compute services integration with custom domain
- It reduced the cost of certificates renewal
- It reduced the time to obtain and manage a certificate for other AWS Services
- Sectigo SSL Certificates (formerly Comodo CA) and RapidSSL
Easy to implement within a few clicks, or even from command line, the alternatives doesn't integrate that easy with AWS Application Load Balancers or AWS CloudFront
