Microsoft
Azure Virtual WAN provides single functional interphase for routing, monitoring, connectivity and security operations. The connection of hubs in Azure virtual WAN makes it simple for us to use Microsoft as the pillar of our spoke connectivity. The platform provides us with robust connectivity features that allow for transitive connectivity across different spokes. However, you should always ensure you have understood your total cost of ownership to avoid potential price bombshells.

I can recommend the use of this software, the objective points that we had as an organization for months could be met. I am not saying that it is free of problems but it gives peace of mind and confidence that it is backed by a large company in the technology industry.

Cons
Microsoft
  • Integrations are limited within Azure. It is difficult to carry out multi-cloud integrations.
  • If you haven't understood your monthly cost you can receive price shocks.

  • There are certain tools that need training to be able to use them. One of them is SASE which requires reading long documentation and the support of qualified engineers is needed. I think this is difficult and does not allow you to explore all areas of the Nuage environment.
  • There is intermittence in the afternoon hours. I mean by this that in the afternoon hours from 6 to 10 pm the platform does not load in the way it should, filling options are slowed down and the same thing happens in the early morning hours, the support team has not yet determined the exact reason for this.
  • Volume discount could not be negotiated. That in this case a really extensive investment was requested for first-time use of the product.

As we were already using Azure as a cloud platform, it was easy setting up a Virtual WAN inside Azure as users/developers and DevOps engineers were familiar with the user interface and functioning as compared to going to some other portal for just the VWAN solution. The umbrella of features provided by Azure Virtual WAN made it the right choice for our infrastructure.

Nokia Networks
  • It has allowed us to unite different computer methodologies for the control of breakdowns in the cloud.
  • This supports commitment and meets business objectives in less time. This is simpler and the benefit is obvious.
  • Improving incorrect procedures in this sense allows us to anticipate correcting errors by giving us alerts and avoiding wasting too much time solving specific problems in the future.
  • Meet business objectives in months and it has been surprising. A specific business objective was to improve our facilities to be able to deliver faster service to our customers and achieve higher profit income.
