Plans work on a Per Concurrent Session basis. Each plan gives access to a bundled number of devices, but limits apply to the amount of devices that can be connected at any given time.
The Premium plan includes On-Demand Assist, a useful tool for providing just-in-time remote support to end-users without them needing RealVNC Connect installed on their device.
We have used TeamViewer and LogMeIn Rescue in the past. Both products offer the abilities to make remote connections, but LogMeIns monitoring capabilities are minimal and TeamViewer is costly for what you get...or more of what you don't get. Also, there have been some weird …
BeyondTrust has better support, account managers, an interface, better documentation for using their solution, and more support for rolling out their solution to endpoints (whether Mac or Windows). They also demonstrate a desire to resolve issues quickly rather than consuming …
BeyondTrust Remote Support (also known as Bomgar) stacks up excellently amongst other remote support tools because it is very robust and backed by a trusted vendor that offers a wide variety of other products. This means the possibility of a wide range of cross integrations. …
When we used Webex our customers often had issues because staff in medical offices don't always have easy access to browse the internet. We could send them an invitation but we would often go round and round with them. With BeyondTrust Remote [Support (Legacy)] we don't have …
Bomgar gives us the ability to extend our technical support out to users who are not on campus. This comes in handy when employees have issues with passwords or registration and they need a little assistance. And [BeyondTrust Remote Support (Legacy)] works across many platforms …
I also use Chrome remote desktop to connect to unattended digital signage, but that requires installing an agent on each target machine. Windows Remote Desktop works in some cases, but you cannot connect to a user's active desktop. Bomgar is the perfect support tool as it …
BeyondTrust Remote Support is one of the most feature rich remote support systems on the market. It is fast and efficient. It allows our large base of technicians to share our license pool so that we don't have to license every technician individually. I love the ability to …
Remote support is much more professional looking for the technician as well as the caller. Dameware however is better at accessing sleeping or un-attended devices.
We have been using Bomgar since their beginning as Network Solutions for well over 14 years. It continues to evolve and improve as a remote support platform, and we continue to get more value from it every year.
I think Bomgar is slightly less user-friendly than LogMeIn from the technician side. There are a bunch of icons on the Bomgar console but there is very little explanation of what they do. LogMeIn is a bit more user-friendly and often offers a smoother connection process with …
I can send a link via email to anyone worldwide to access their machine, company or privately owned - This capability is very limited to other support software in the market.
Ease of use, we are able to use Bomgar hand in hand with Ghost Solutions Suite to remotely access any computer that has the client on it. All the user has to do is click allow, and the session will be connected with the rep from IT effortlessly, and within less than 5 seconds.
One thing I like about Dameware is that you have access to a remote command prompt and that has been very handy at times. But Dameware is limited to on the network support, last time I used it. Bomgar can handle multiple platforms and operating systems. I cant email an …
Splashtop Enterprise was easier for our clients to use than LogMeIn Rescue that we used to use. It is a more lightweight and robust feeling software. The biggest benefit for us was the cost of Splashtop vs LogMeIn.
Teamviewer is good for IT support individual remote computers, when doing connection, what we need is only remote party's ID and password, no other authentication is needed. The authentication is verbally over the phone when IT talks to the supported customers. However, this is …
I prefer TeamViewer but it costs a lot more. We do also use TeamViewer for unattended access but the cost is so great that we might look at alternatives when our license expires. If the price was not an issue I would pick TeamViewer Quick Support over Splashtop SOS but for …
cost, it is only a fraction of the cost of Teamviewer, also, same number of features for remote desktop but more new features for remote IT management of the computers with the client installed. No brainer.
Teamviewer and Logmein were just to expensive, VNC has issues with windows 10 and RDP requires port forwarding in the router, so its fine for servers, but not ideal as a remote support system. Splashtop was easier or cheaper than anything else we tried.
Splashtop Business Enterprise is actually easier to implement and get it up and running, all users have to do is download the standard or personalize file and run it, then share the code with you and you are all set to go, i like it because you can even do it from your phone if …
After evaluating several possible remote support products, Splashtop SOS represented the best value for money to a small business owner. This was largely due to its tiered licensing structure, with the base Splashtop SOS solution providing all the features I needed. This …
[In my experience] TeamViewer is just too expensive for what I consider marginal benefit. Splashtop SOS works incredibly well, and while [I feel] TeamViewer does have a performance edge, I just can't justify the massive increase in cost. Plus, to my knowledge, TeamViewer's …
It's certainly not as feature rich or the same level of remote management system, but Splashtop SOS is a fraction of the cost and does exactly what I need it to do.
Simply put, Splashtop SOS works. The remote control feature of SOTI's MobiControl just didn't work for us. We spent countless hours working with SOTI to get additional apps to support remote control for various Lenovo tablets. It was a huge burden and it just didn't work. …
I have not looked at TeamViewer in quite some time but I found Splashtop SOS for me to be at least a 1 to 1 feature switch. And right now connecting to mobile devices to see a customers screen is included with Splashtop SOS and it is a real value add. I hope it says that way. …
I find that Splashtop SOS is as easy or easier to use. LogMeIn was a very great deal more expensive and I would not be able to regain much return on that investment.
Splashtop SOS is significantly more affordable than its competitors for smaller operations like ours. The base subscription is more than adequate for our use, whereas most competitors overkill single-user capacity. Additionally, competitive products frequently restrict the …
Initially, it was the cost but, I almost went with TeamViewer because at the time of evaluation Splashtop [SOS] did not support user switching while staying connected (running as a service). This was a deal-breaker for me due to my clients not being an admin. I was going to go …
Security is a big deal, even more so these days. We needed a remote access tool that we could trust to be secure and constantly evolve to modern standards. VNC Connect came at eh right price for us and provides all the tools we need.
VNC is light and sleek with the quick setup, was impressed with the quick setup despite poor Internet connection outdoor. Teamviewer is good, but the pricing is not as good as VNC. Both do the basic job, but VNC still outperform Teamviewer in terms of performance and ease of use.
TeamViewer is another easy to use remote connectivity software that I like for fast connection and little lag. TeamViewer is good for screen sharing. I often prefer VNC Connect for its cross platform compatibility and its mobile access capability. TeamViewer is a little …
The best part is that [the] VNC Connect application supports multi-platform compatibility with Windows and Linux systems. In addition, it is simple, and the session is approved or unapproved, which enables us to provide quick support in the business process. The running service …
With so many things tech-related we have many options and ways to accomplish the same thing. I think one of the important things to remember is the companies track record and support record for their users. In our experience, VNC Connect has been able to be competitive in all …
VNC Connect works just as well as the top products on the market. At the time VNC Connect was priced better and provided us with a simple reliable tool. VNC Connect works well cross-platform which is important to our institute as we are a 60/40 PC to Mac ratio. Reliability …
I like VNC over TeamViewer and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services. Teamviewer seems slower than VNC and is more expensive. Microsoft RDP takes over the console so users cannot interact in any way.
Overall the VNC Connect software outperforms the TeamViewer software in most areas however, the TeamViewer billing model can be more appropriate for some situations.
VNC Connect stacks up very well to other competitors. With this simple program, you can remotely connect and access other computers with the same VNC Connect agent installed. The only reason we're moving away from using this is that our current Ninja RMM Tools computer …
Like I have mentioned before, depending on what you need, RealVNC may not be the best fit. It's the does-it-all Enterprise ready version produced by the original manufacturers. Installation's pretty simple, it's deployable if needed and it sports a lot of party tricks. …
I'm afraid that the only thing VNC has going for it is that it's free. Otherwise ConnectWise is an infinitely superior product and one which I would heartily recommend. We also looked at Bomgar, but the pricing there was astronomical in comparison with Connectwise. The free …
VNC works really well. It gives a superior level of access compared to far more expensive products such as GoToAssist or WebEx Support Center, and does so at a tiny fraction of the cost. It also consumes far fewer resources than either of those two competing products. It's an …
At the time of our switch to GotoAssist, we we seeking a solution that allowed admin access to workstations. GotoAssist met our requirements for this problem.
Systems Administrator/Technology Support Specialist
Chose RealVNC Connect
We have been using VNC for many years now and continue to use VNC due to its reliability and ease of use. When we need quick access to a remote computer for troubleshooting, VNC doesn't glitch or cause disconnects. Sometimes it may run slow but that is due to network issues, …
TeamViewer seems to crash often, causing the TeamViewer host to have to be restarted. The performance isn't comparable to RealVNC and the GUI isn't very intuitive. TeamViewer does shine better when using it for external connections, but RealVNC is moe lightweight and adaptable …
Screen quality compared to others like ScreenConnect, Bomgar, and others is not as good. But I don't need quality screens. I just need the minimal when connecting to servers so RealVNC fits that need very nicely.
I've been working with BeyondTrust's teams, with multiple customers and environments, and they consistently offer top-shelf support whether your environment has 250 users or 25000. Their staff is always patient and friendly in answering questions, working to resolve technical issues (should they occur), and they provide the information to help you understand how to do it yourself rather than perpetually relying on their technical consultants or engineers. They support Android, iOS, Linux, Windows, and macOS, providing instructions on how to interface with each system and make it as simple as possible to help your users regardless of what system they are working on.
Based on the price of their basic plan, Splashtop is easily the best solution available for small installations like mine. I am confident with their security implementation and reconnection to devices after a remote restart have never failed me. They feature many higher-level tools and solutions but I've just never needed to use them.
It is very easy to use if the remote device is already set up to receive connections, so if you are setting up devices before deploying them, it is a great tool to have. It is well-suited to use when shadowing users or using it as a teaching tool. There are other products that are better if you are trying to help someone on a one-use basis.
Probably top most on my list is the support from Bomgar - they use their own product and take their support very seriously. They have always been available when I've needed help. They even set up a temporary host on their server when my IT crew, mistakenly plugged into the wrong port.
Talk about documenting a support session. We have the complete recording of what a tech will do to help a customer. There are no ambiguities as to what was done or not done. Not that any of our customers have complained about a support session - quite to the contrary all customers that give reviews after a support session rate the experience as either high or very high.
Best of all...I can help my mother in law with her computer without having to go to her house.
Seamless RMM Integration - Splashtop’s integration into Syncro is functionally invisible, but in a good way. I don't have to manage a separate contact list or worry about syncing credentials between my RMM and my remote tool. I click "Remote Desktop" in Syncro, and Splashtop launches instantly.
High Performance Graphics & Low Latency - The frame rate and refresh speed are consistently superior to competitors I’ve used in the past. Even when connecting to a client with a dual monitor setup or a slower upload speed, the lag is minimal. The picture quality is crisp enough that I can read fine print on error logs without squinting.
"SOS" Ad-Hoc Workflow - r clients who aren't on a managed contract (my "break/fix" customers), the SOS feature is a lifesaver. I don't have to walk a non-technical user through a complex installation. I just tell them to go to the site, give me the 9-digit code, and I'm in!
I would like to see a voice chat capability added to the system.
I would like to have access to canned scripts through a web interface. This would be useful those limited times I am actually working on a pc in person.
I would like to be able to use files in the filestore for canned scripts rather than having to upload them a second time.
Every so often one of our connections needs to be "woken" and that requires calling the support team as opposed to having a simple solution that can be done on our own. It is a rare event, but has happened more than once.
Some of the confusion of VNC upon installation is you need to be connected to the internet for it to function. This is not the case, but is unclear upon installation.
The licensing model is not ideal for locations that do not use the internet and function off of the grid.
Bomgar has improved the support we have given as an ICT department and improved the ICT department reputation within the organisation. We have had no issues with Bomgar as a product and it works well. The team at Bomgar are also a pleasure to work with, they follow up with us to see how they can help us use more of the features of the system and really take time to get to know their users and how they use the product.
Splashtop has been one of the best investments our firm has made, and we have become proud partners. The ROI is off the charts for a law firm since more time can be billed now. This is aside from all the quality of life improvements Splashtop has rolled out in the past couple of years that makes IT administration notably easier in multiple ways on a daily basis.
VNC is a solid product for the price. It simply works and its reliable across different platforms. Some products state they work well in the Mac environment but don't deliver. This one does what it says. Connections are reliable, but of course, this depends on internet connections. The product works well over wireless connections as well. It delivers on what a remote tool should deliver on. My technicians are happy with the product and customers appreciate the ease of use when letting us connect to their systems. Some also appreciate the remote support while they are multi-task.
Just like any other remote support tool, BeyondTrust Remote Support is very easy to use, all you do is make sure the host machine has the bomgar agent active in it and then all you do is remote into the said host machine once that is out of the way you are able to do what you need to do in that host machine.
It's hard to find any significant faults with Splashtop. It offers a very responsive remote access experience with clear and simple interface. There's very little learning curve as it's toolbar mimics other popular remote access solutions graphical user interface. It's gives you access to your remote computer quickly and stays out of your way
It's a niche product and in that niche they try to cater to as many use cases as they can. Other as a TCO aspect i don't see many use cases where you can't use this product as the one tool for all remote session use cases in your company
As far as uptime is concerned, Since Bomgar creates the Hardware and Software, they can make it the most reliable box in our datacenter, and they also have options for availability and redundancy that we didn't need to utilize, we have a manual fail-over process that we can invoke, but there are configurations that would allow for an automated failover as well.
I recall one outage, and it wasn't very long. We use QuickAssist when someone's having a problem connecting with Splashtop on a Windows machine. Fortunately, that doesn't happen very often. QuickAssist is for the QUICK Assist. Splashtop is far better for addressing more complex support needs.
There is no lag-time at all, no matter how many users we have on the box, it is always entirely dependant on the customers internet speed (as we have a very fast connection), that is the only issue I've EVER seen with Bomgar, no matter how many sessions we run the box is always up, always fast, always working.
I've raved and rambled about Splashtop's utterly shocking performance nearly endlessly. One of the key reasons our firm adopted Splashtop was because I could demonstrate the unbelievable performance to our Tech Committee. Before finding Splashtop, the thought of being able to start a remote connection to another PC and smoothly watch a full 1080p video through that remote connection was unthinkable. Yet, Splashtop achieved this. I was blown away, and our committee was impressed. In fact, in my testing environment prior to onboarding, I was have 2 PC's next to each other on different networks and internet sources with a Splashtop connection from one to the other with a 1080p YouTube video playing. I was astounded that the audio I was hearing on the "connect from" PC matched in perfect synch with the "connect to" PC. Unbelievable!! And keep this between us, but when I was working late one night at the office waiting for some server to finish a long upgrade, I was able to actually Splashtop to my home gaming PC and play a full-quality FPS with no lag through the connection. Shocked, astounded, flabbergasted! The adjectives could be endless!
We have been using this tool since March and it has enabled us to provide full support to our users while we are all working from home. Even after we return to the office it will allow us to provide better support to our users in other buildings. There are a number of features we haven't yet used, but it is good to know that we have a reliable tool to use to help us provide quality support.
I've only needed support once - three years ago, and I don't remember what it was about - but they got me fixed and on my way within 15 minutes. Heck, I might have been calling myself - that's the kind of service I try to provide to my clients.
VNC Connect is a reliable product that has been around for a long time. It is reasonably priced and works well in the Mac & PC environment. When you have a small team that supports many users we need tools that we can rely upon and that will get the job done on the first try. Many customers appreciate the quick assistance and can multi-task while our team works on their computer issues remotely. From a customer service point of view, this tool gives us transparency and efficient effectiveness.
we didn't have in-person training because their online training was so overwhelmingly well done. Start by looking at the docs: http://www.bomgar.com/docs/content/index.htm if that alone doesn't answer all your questions, there will be a window that pops up asking if you would like to chat with a sales representative, or a support engineer. Either of them can answer all of your questions as easily as if they were standing there with you, or talking to you on the phone, it is truly the power of Bomgar!
Since we have installed and been running Bomgar software for quite some time now, we have taken the opportunity to attend various web trainings, and they are always very prompt, informative and open to questions/discussions. We appreciate the work that Bomgar does to keep their customer community informed of new features and discussions of further product developments.
The training is very informative, quick and to the point. All of the details one would need are present so the user doesn't have to go searching for additional information just to use the application. The layout of the training was also neat and concise, some of the other training sessions for other companies I've done in the past were confusing and not well thought out, this one is much more superior
It was easy to get going. You have to pick your features to enable disable and then configure any customizations for the enabled features. It could not be easier to get started. The number of options can be a bit overwhelming at first
It couldn't have been any easier to setup and I have had no issues with it since it was implemented. It's a great product and makes remotely connecting to another device so simple and quick. I can't recommend it enough
We have used TeamViewer and LogMeIn Rescue in the past. Both products offer the abilities to make remote connections, but LogMeIns monitoring capabilities are minimal and TeamViewer is costly for what you get...or more of what you don't get. Also, there have been some weird cybersecurity malware detections on team viewer lately that was causing concern
I have not looked at TeamViewer in quite some time but I found Splashtop SOS for me to be at least a 1 to 1 feature switch. And right now connecting to mobile devices to see a customers screen is included with Splashtop SOS and it is a real value add. I hope it says that way. TeamViewer is just too expensive in comparison.
VNC Connect stacks up very well to other competitors. With this simple program, you can remotely connect and access other computers with the same VNC Connect agent installed. The only reason we're moving away from using this is that our current Ninja RMM Tools computer monitoring agent includes the TeamViewer tool for us to use.
Since the Bomgar Box is BOTH hardware and software, it can be purchased in any capacity deemed necessary, so scalability isn't an issue, Bomgar has the experience necessary to create a design that can support as many customer and agent sessions as you can throw at it. We have never had any issues with the Bomgar box and licenses that we have installed.
I bought service for 250 unattended machines. I anticipate the next level will be very expensive, so I may stop at 250. It works very well for our needs. Only recently have I needed to add a second team to add a group of computers, but it's all been great.
We've used Bomgar for 10 years. Our company was probably too small when we started using it but over the years we have grown. As our team has gotten bigger we rely more heavily on bomgar and it's become an indispensable tool.
It saves us a tremendous amount of time / cost over having to go onsite as any remote screen sharing tool will do.
The ability to easily and security manage remote access to hundreds of computers over dozens of different companies is a huge benefit to our company.
Our prior solution had become so unstable and poor performing that we couldn't provide good technical support with it. Splashtop lets us just get in and get work done.
We didn't have to spend a lot more to get a better product, we just had to switch.
I have just used the software for about 1 month and so far so god. I am saving time whenever I can access my client's computers from my desk as opposed to having to leave my office to go to their offices. Saves me time and the client money.
