DiscoverOrg is far better in terms of enrichment and overall usability. My experience with DiscoverOrg has provided me with more opportunities to close business.
DiscoverOrg has better contact info, but not as much company info (they focus on larger companies). Also, DiscoverOrg was much more expensive. Additionally DiscoverOrg wouldn't have satisfied our need to enrich our back-end database.
At that time we were thinking of a few more tools available in market. But once we reached out to them and got to know the features and ease of use, we narrowed down our search to Clearbit. Its integration with Salesforce with added features along with the pricing was best …
We selected Datanyze at the time because it was the most comprehensive in terms of the types of accounts they had profiled in their database as compared to ZoomInfo and DiscoverOrg. Datanyze has really strong search/list building functionality. At this point within our team, …
I think Clearbit is a superior product to Datanyze, though it isn't always as user-friendly as Datanyze always was. Clearbit has much better integrations with email service providers so that you can get accurate information on people you solicit as you are writing them emails …

We used to use RainKing, but found the quality of the data extremely lacking. Roles had changed, contact info had changed, and we were not seeing the engagement from outreach to those lists. Also aware of ZoomInfo, but did not try that after results with RainKing.
The UI of Datanyze is better than some of the alternatives. They also maintain information on certain technologies that other vendors do not. I also like the company notification (i.e. when a company changes a technology). As far as other features, I have seen that they are …
Datanyze has much deeper information around the tech stacks that companies are using. They are not always 100% accurate but I have found them to be much better than other solutions. We selected them because they are laser focused on what they do and not trying to be all things …
We selected DiscoverOrg against them because of their quality of data, the quantity of data and strong customer focus, yes they are very responsive and available 24*7 for any issue and this is something we were looking for. DiscoverOrg never fails us in it, they always …
DiscoverOrg is definitely the standout among its competitors. It has provided me with far more value for the deals in my pipeline than any other prospecting tool that I have utilized in my current role. The data is far better and more accurate, which has given me many more …
We have used ZoomInfo and other lead identification tools, and DiscoverOrg's org chart feature is really nice for learning about the company structure.
Clearbit is great for companies with large sales teams who focus on high touch prospecting. The time saved by not having to search a prospect's LinkedIn profile, but simply see data in the CRM is awesome. On the other hand, Clearbit may not be as ideal in a company where sales are very transactional
Datanyze can be a useful tool for understanding your market. You're able to use Datanyze to see how many people are using your technology as well as who is using your competitors. Receiving alerts on who is adding and dropping you vs your competitors is always helpful. It's a tool that can potentially give back as much as you put in.
Uses [of DiscoverOrg] include searching for prospects in accounts. Getting all of the relevant contact information in one place. Using the export button saves time by allowing you to select one or more leads to import into CRM. Sophisticated search allows for you to build lists, and export as above. Good support with various experts available to help you get started and get better at using it.
Prospecting Lists/Lead Gen - Discover Org does this very well because of it's ability to provide current information (email/phone) on an individual at a company. It's easy to segment & drill down by categories - to find the right targets to reach out to.
Insights - DiscoverOrg is great at providing insights or "scopes" on prospects as well. Meaning it will show who is handling what project (Decision-Maker) and what projects they are particularly interested in at the moment/what initiatives. For example, the scopes may show that they are interested in AI initiatives or a Merger & Acquisition or Digital Transformation & will say who is in charge of the initiative.
Stellar filtering capabilities - you can filter lists in so many ways. You can go by function, or even look at companies with small marketing teams (let's say less than 10), or you can search for companies with an "x" amount of $ budget for IT spend. Or even companies that use a specific HR workplace management system.
The data Clearbit provides is good, but it doesn't compare to some competitors. While you can find a large range of data, other providers have more clean data.
The Google Sheets add-on is not as comprehensive. It would be nice if you could search for both prospect emails and numbers there.
Clearbit provides direct dials, but again it's not as accurate as other services.
Datanyze used to give really good data on specific person level. You could then look up prospects using the Chrome extension inside of LinkedIn. This made prospecting extremely easy and very efficient. Unfortunately, this no longer exists and it is much harder to do without their data.
I have found that sometimes the data inside of datanyze is not always current. When reaching out to companies they will mention that they were just testing a tool, not fully using it.
There are really no other places to push the data from Datanyze except for Salesforce. This makes it tough when using other tools or CRMs.
Improvement on the search capabilities - since there is so much to search (which is a plus) it makes it harder to do this in a timely manner. You have to dedicate a certain amount of time to be able to pull a proper, useful and clean list.
Make it more user friendly - there are so many different tabs, search buttons, pull down, etc. I think it can be quite confusing to a new user.
The majority of the time it provides quick, accessible and easy to use information about the company and contact information. This has really helped us to personalise our outreach while also making it faster to prospect accounts. I don't give it a ten as this information can be inaccurate. Including the LinkedIn link which sometimes re-directs to old LinkedIn accounts, or just the wrong one. This seems to be caused by not updating the information regularly enough (just a feeling, no evidence)
The tool is simply better than most other lead/company data repositories, and they are dedicated to keeping their data clean, even if they are far from accomplishing this task at present. The tool works, and it is relatively easy to use. Overall, DiscoverOrg provides the level of lead/contact, customer, and even industry level data the sales orgs have come to expect from this sort of tool in a format that is fairly easy to use. They do also provide support for sales teams looking to use the tool effectively, which is great!
Clearbit is very easy to use. Any new joiner can self-onboard, self-learn in matter of hours, if not minutes. Its integration feature within Hubspot and also with Salesforce makes it easy for marketing team to use it every day. The customer support team is also very responsive and helpful to resolve issues within few days
The team has been extremely helpful and works with us one on one with issues we come across. My main issues with the service is it’s outward interactions with us since purchasing the product. They have not proactively checked in to see how our is doing with the product.
When evaluating data enrichment solutions, we compared Clearbit against alternatives like ZoomInfo, InsideView, and D&B Hoovers. Clearbit emerged as our preferred choice for several key reasons: - Superior API flexibility and integration capabilities, particularly with our existing tech stack - More competitive pricing model compared to enterprise solutions like ZoomInfo - Higher data accuracy rates, especially for technology companies and digital-first businesses - Better developer documentation and support resources
While competitors like ZoomInfo might offer broader coverage for certain industries, Clearbit's focus on digital-first companies and B2B technology firms aligned perfectly with our target market. The platform's ability to provide real-time enrichment through API calls, combined with its straightforward implementation process, made it the most suitable choice for our specific use case.
I've used products like Builtwith and Wappalyzer and neither compare to the level and organization of data within Datanyze. It's much more robust and easy to access. However, it isn't perfect and sometimes needs to be updated, or removed and re-installed simply for it to function
ZoomInfo acquired DiscoverOrg and I believe legacy DiscoverOrg will phase out in the near future. ZoomInfo is 100x better than DiscoverOrg and are very pleased with it's functionality and easy of use. We only selected DiscoverOrg because we were on an auto-renewal contract and did not unsubscribe in time. We did not plan to renew DiscoverOrg. But since then we have been upgraded to ZoomInfo and are finding much more value in that platform than we did in DiscoverOrg.
After using DiscoverOrg, our lead are now well qualified and suitable. We are able to generate good and qualified. This is the positive impact.
After using DiscoverOrg, our sales team is now able to cold call the target contacts, the number provided by DiscoverOrg, the interaction held is now increased and we are able to produce good leads.
After using DiscoverOrg, we are able to understand better because of their reports and dashboards which is very informative.
