ClearCompany will hold your hand and help you every step of the way to becoming just that! It can be a difficult task to change so much but having their team to meet with you weekly until you have everything up and running was the best experience I could have asked for.

Paylocity offers businesses the capability to greatly automate and help their HR function in the management of the entire employee life cycle. One area that I am looking to better utilize Paylocity and where ADP or UKG has an advantage on them is the integration of time clock data with your own IT information systems for productivity management. We are in the Wholesale Distribution sector so one thing we would like to track and manage is the number of picks per hour for our employees. Our measurement of productivity. The integration has been difficult and only recently discovered a SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) solution that will avoid an API integration for this data.
Read full review Pros Real-time updates shared across the software with remote users. It allows us to effectively manage and track candidates workflows and status within the onboarding process. This helps us effectively communicate and keep hooks in the candidate without having them fall through the cracks. ClearCompany is able to customize and report to fit our company. We are in a particular industry where our time to fill, hiring costs and other metrics vary from time to time. In order to get an accurate report, ClearCompany has gone above and beyond to customize our reports and give us the data we need with a click of a button. ClearCompany is always in constant communication and willing to assist. The feedback from the support team is almost instantaneous. I have the direct number to my customer care agent and her manager as well. It's nice to know they are there to help at a moment's notice. The support team has a great chat feature that allows me to send a message while i'm on the phone. They are quick to respond and always friendly. Customization. You can basically set your company up however you would like. I use the Configuration - Company Set-up tab just about everyday to add/change things to make it our own. Someone else picks up but is not always as knowledgeable. Getting their EDI team to work with our vendors on the feeds has been a challenge for us. We would like to be able to create our own custom reports. Writing reports is a challenge. It's not user-friendly. It would be helpful to be able to see prior information when our employees go in and change things on their profile, such as tax information, etc. We wish more employee reports were based on labor distribution and not just their default department. We have 10 locations, and this would provide much more accurate payroll numbers that we could allocate when employees work in more than one location. This gave us peace of mind as we switched over from another payroll provider so we weren't familiar with Paylocity. The transition was smooth

Read full review Everyone wants immediate assistance. Awaiting a response from an email only to ask 2-3 more questions is time consuming. Within the first six months of setup, I would rather respond back to the instructors who provided me the training in each category of my contract.
Read full review Online Training The training was live online, but was with a group of other companies. We did not receive any personalized training with our team. Whenever we would ask for training, we would be sent a peak article link or a video. It felt like the reps we dealt with didn't know the answer to the questions.
Read full review Implementation Rating I would make sure you have a dedicated team at Paylocity to complete the implementation. We had staff from Paylocity quit and things were not completed properly. They dropped the ball so to speak on that portion of it. we have encountered multiple issues since then and are still not using the Time off tracking to its full capabilities.
Read full review Alternatives Considered No comparison. It's apples to oranges when comparing. Clear Company is well-rounded and willing to collaborate to make it right for each company. Most other platforms make you adapt to the product they think is best without individual company needs in mind.
Read full review Against Oracle, Paylocity's effective date system doesn't stand a chance. Plus Oracle has calendars on every screen so you can change the date and view how the data appeared as of the date you put in the system, you could see how the employee file was coded all the way back to the beginning. It had an audit trail for any changes made AND the effective dates actually pulled correctly for payroll. IE new hire starts 1/1/24, would not pull into batch with any pay data and new hire benefit enrollment would fire. In Paylocity, a new hire entered before I start the payroll batch automatically gets pulled into the batch with pay EVEN WHEN THEY ARE NOT HIRED ON THE PAYROLL DATES FOR THE BATCH. This is very frustrating. overall I like the functionality of Oracle better but it is not for small companies so Paylocity is a fairly decent alternative.

Read full review Return on Investment ClearCompany has some helpful options our company has utilized, but overall it has been very hard to get past some of the user interfaces that aren't functional or getting speedy responses when something isn't operational. ClearCompany has custom reports that help us strategize our recruitment efforts, but we have had many instances where the reports do not pull data from the system which has lead to confusion or decisions being made with incomplete information. ClearCompany has multiple avenues to contact them or get help, but they are not always effective because of the completion time frame varies. Read full review Onboarding has reduced the paperwork that managers had previously had to take care of and payroll had to manually enter. This has significantly reduced hours of work and reduced errors. Data insights creates reports that are very easy to view and give quick insights. This again reduces hours of work on management.
