Hands-down, payroll in Paylocity versus ADP is the best thing we could’ve ever done for our company. The benefits piece however is lacking. Reconciling and making sure year-to-date totals match IRS guidelines has been a nightmare for us.

I will say that Paylocity is easier to navigate than the two products mentioned above. There appears to be more customization. However, the workflow is terrible compared to PeopleSoft and SuccessFactors.

Tyler Technologies is clunky and Paylocity seems much more user-friendly but is not. I would rather work with Tyler Tech. Tyler Tech was used by another school district where I worked in HR. Leman has had Paylocity for years and this system was here when I was hired.

If your company needs to move into becoming completely electronic, as well as the option of having it being remote if needed, this is the way to go. ClearCompany will hold your hand and help you every step of the way to becoming just that! It can be a difficult task to change so much but having their team to meet with you weekly until you have everything up and running was the best experience I could have asked for.

ClearCompany
  • Real-time updates shared across the software with remote users. It allows us to effectively manage and track candidates workflows and status within the onboarding process. This helps us effectively communicate and keep hooks in the candidate without having them fall through the cracks.
  • ClearCompany is able to customize and report to fit our company. We are in a particular industry where our time to fill, hiring costs and other metrics vary from time to time. In order to get an accurate report, ClearCompany has gone above and beyond to customize our reports and give us the data we need with a click of a button.
  • ClearCompany is always in constant communication and willing to assist. The feedback from the support team is almost instantaneous. I have the direct number to my customer care agent and her manager as well. It's nice to know they are there to help at a moment's notice. The support team has a great chat feature that allows me to send a message while i'm on the phone. They are quick to respond and always friendly.

  • Onboarding is VERY thorough. It established a high level of confidence for using the system from the start.

  • I can tell that an engineer wrote the system and did not work with an HR department when the system was originally rolled out. There are some things that don't make sense from an HR standpoint...warnings are viewable by the employee as soon as the warning is initiated...not when it's completed and approved.

We most likely will because we are learning how to use it better all the time. It does integrate with our Advanced Benefits. But the customer service is not responsive when needing help. It almost always requires several contacts to get anywhere, and the contacts can be several days apart. Once you actually get to TALK to someone, things are usually resolved fairly quickly, but their email system is not efficient. I get half answers and they close the ticket! But once I can get to someone, it is almost always great service. Very hard to get someone though.

To begin with, Paylocity provides easy instructions, lots of training tools, and an excellent support team. The data entry is easy to use, and the reporting is outstanding. The report function allows options to fit nearly all of our needs. The search engine makes it easy to navigate through the software.

Reports load within seconds. The ease of finding information in the system is very nice. If for some reason you cannot get the info you need, you can either look it up in the help section or if time is of the essence, you may call the help desk and speak with a Paylocity representative immediately. You are never left alone. You never get a voicemail. You always get a live representative who can help you at that moment

They have provided great support throughout the last 2 years of me using the system. I didn't have in-person training, but I'm sure it was just as great as any other training/assistance Paylocity provides. Paylocity customer service is always available. You never have to be on hold and their answers are always accurate and timely. Documents in the help section are helpful as well. My in-person training was conducted y one of our employees who was involved in the initial set-up and training of all employees. She was excellent.

The training was live online, but was with a group of other companies. We did not receive any personalized training with our team. Whenever we would ask for training, we would be sent a peak article link or a video. It felt like the reps we dealt with didn't know the answer to the questions.

We were handed off to multiple implementation people, some quit, one went on leave, one left suddenly, one was transfered to a diff dept...all causing a significant amount of disruption for our team. Many had conflicting info on how to properly set things up...hence a complete mess was left for us to figure out

No comparison. It's apples to oranges when comparing. Clear Company is well-rounded and willing to collaborate to make it right for each company. Most other platforms make you adapt to the product they think is best without individual company needs in mind.

The Paylocity platform is so much easier to navigate and set-up verses the use of ADP Workforce Now products. I worked for three different companies that used ADP and every system was different. There was a huge learning curve with ADP and I appreciate the ease of use with the Paylocity platform

Our main function for Paylocity is payroll, data insights for employee working hours and onboarding. This has been a very reliable source for us for these functions. Payroll has been extremely easy to do using Paylocity. The onboarding process is very simple for new hires and makes the process run smooth. It is easy to find the information you are looking for while on Paylocity.

  • ClearCompany has some helpful options our company has utilized, but overall it has been very hard to get past some of the user interfaces that aren't functional or getting speedy responses when something isn't operational.
  • ClearCompany has custom reports that help us strategize our recruitment efforts, but we have had many instances where the reports do not pull data from the system which has lead to confusion or decisions being made with incomplete information.
  • ClearCompany has multiple avenues to contact them or get help, but they are not always effective because of the completion time frame varies.

  • We had over 500 employees, 20 locations, and 2 people can easily manage the entire HR process, from job posting, recruiting, training, onboarding, payroll processing and more.
  • Data Insights is very useful looking at our overall costs, trends, and we use it to better manage labor costs.
